Episode 7

Luisa woke up feeling a bit dizzy. She observed her surroundings and realized she was in a room. She tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge, so she assumed it was locked from the outside. She attempted the same with the windows, but they also wouldn't open.

She searched the whole room for something to use to open the windows, but her search was interrupted when the door opened.

"Good afternoon, Miss. My name is Lucia. I brought you some clothes," she said, placing the garments on the bed.

"Where am I?" Luisa asked.

"I can't tell you right now. I'll bring you some food in a moment," Lucia replied before locking the door again.

Luisa was about to continue searching for something to open the windows when she was interrupted once more, this time by a very handsome man. Luisa found his face familiar but couldn't remember where she had seen him before.

"Hello, Luisa. I'm Thomas Moretti. From now on, you'll be living here. I hope you won't be a problem for me."

Luisa said nothing, continuing to delve into her memories. It took almost ten minutes for her to recognize him.

"It's him," she whispered.

"I'd prefer if you spoke clearly and didn't mumble. I detest that," Thomas retorted.

"Why am I here? What did I do to be taken away from my loved ones?"

"Hahaha, Luisa, don't make me laugh. Nobody wanted you in that house."

Upon hearing those words, Lucia felt sad. Her father had told her the same thing, and even her great love had rubbed it in her face.

Small drops fell to the floor as Thomas realized his words had made him miserable, but he didn't apologize.

"You can only leave this room when I command you, understood?" Luisa simply nodded, and he left.

As he closed the door, he stayed for a few seconds and heard Luisa crying. He didn't know why, but he felt a pang in his chest.

He went downstairs, told Lucia to bring food, and left his house heading towards his father's company. He needed to settle some matters with him.

When he arrived, he went straight to his father's office without announcing himself.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to meddle in my problems?"

"Hello, son, how have you been?" His father spoke sarcastically.

"I'm not here for your nonsense, father. Just tell me why you did it," Thomas demanded. His father acted oblivious. "I know you're planning something, and I'd like to know what it is."

"What I do is none of your business," his father spoke curtly.

Thomas pounded his fist on the desk. "It does concern me, father, because, thanks to you, some girl is in my house, and I don't know what to do with her."

"Treat your future wife well," his father said calmly.

"What did you say?"

"That girl you refer to as a nobody will be your future wife."

"You're insane, Raul," Thomas called him by his first name.

"No, I'm not," his father stood up from his chair. "I just think big."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean that besides Santiago paying off all his debts, when you marry that girl, you'll also get everything he owns. Finally, you will fulfill your revenge."

Thomas still didn't understand what his father was trying to say. He had already investigated Luisa and found out she owned her grandparents' empire but not Santiago's.

"Explain it to me, father. I don't understand."

"Listen, son, when Santiago's parents died, they bequeathed everything to that girl."

"I already know that."

"Well, here comes the best part. Santiago's wife signed a document, before her in-laws passed away, stating that all the profit Santiago earns will be for his two children. However, once either of them gets married, everything will transfer to that child."

"You mean that when I marry Lucía, everything Santiago owns will become hers, in this case, mine?"

"That's right, Thomas. That's why I readily accepted Ricardo's proposal when he came to me with the offer."

"Fine, I'll marry Luisa."

"Perfect, but remember, the sooner, the better. You know Santiago will act immediately."

"Then let the wedding be tomorrow. Call the media and make it a sensation."

"Leave it to me, son." His father bid farewell to Raul and went back home.

On his way, he was thinking about how he would tell Luisa and what her reaction would be. But one thing he was sure of - he would leave Santiago Brown on the streets, even if he had to point a gun at his future wife to marry him.

He arrived at his house and went straight to Luisa's room. Everything happened too quickly for both of them. She was only in her panties with her chest exposed to Thomas' view.

"Don't look at me!" she shouted, trying to cover her small bust.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to see you," he replied.

"Just don't look," she said, making him turn around. But Thomas, with his eyes fixed on the mirrored closet, smiled on the side. When Luisa noticed this, she threw a pillow at him.

"You're a pervert! I told you not to look at me."

"In my defense, I wasn't looking at you, just your reflection. Besides, it wasn't a big deal. I've seen better," he said.

Luisa's face turned red. Besides being a pervert, this man was rude. She ignored his comment. She may be naive about some things, but she was never insecure about her body. She knew what she had, and the words of a pervert wouldn't ruin her.

"What have you come here for?" she asked, becoming serious.

"It's my house, and I can go wherever I want," Thomas rolled his eyes.

"What do you want?"

"Nothing from you," he replied arrogantly. "But from your family, everything."

"What does my family have to do with me?"

"That's not your concern. Now, let's get to the point. Tomorrow, you will marry me, and I won't accept a no for an answer."

"What if I refuse?"

"You either act or act. Do you not understand that I won't accept any refusal? You either marry or marry, simple," he shrugged.

"How long will this charade last?"

"Maybe two or three years."

"It will be a pity to sacrifice those years with you," Luisa replied.

"You have no other choice. Be good and don't cause me any trouble."

"Let's make a deal," she offered.

"No."

"You haven't even heard me out."

"I'm not willing to make deals with you."

"Why?"

"First, you're not in a position to make one, and second, I don't want to make deals with your surname. Who assures me that you're not as much of a rat as your father?"

Those words hurt Luisa once again, but she didn't show it. She only wanted to ensure her freedom.

"Then don't complain about anything," she stated.

Thomas thought about it for a few minutes. It wouldn't be good to draw attention from people, especially from his former father-in-law. It would be a pain if he found out.

"Just out of curiosity, what's the deal about?"

"When I fulfill the designated years of being married, you give me my freedom."

Thomas didn't hesitate, as his intention wasn't to stay with her forever. He saw that her deal was fair.

"Fine, as soon as I have the document, we'll sign it."

Luisa extended her hand as a symbol of closing the deal, even though they hadn't signed anything yet. He accepted it, and both of them felt an electric shock throughout their bodies.
