Chapter 3 : bomb event in my daily life

My daily life. Usually otosan will bring me every where when he is free. From crime scene to other all kind of places. the place he brought me teach me a lot of things, for example piloting a helicopter and plane. Of course, he didn't do it when I am a child but when I'm old enough to understand it. The same with shinichi.

He also brought us to crime scenes and solve the problem with the police. Otosan and shinichi have good observations and deducing things. I might be good at observing but deducing is out of me.

I always stand behind, in awe seeing otosan solving the problem the police can't. The first time I saw a body I throw up. From then on, otosan only bring me if he is sure that there's no body. So shinichi goes more often than me.

When I go to school Izanagi Yota would always pick me up. We don't go to school by train. Yota bring me to a warp gate and teleport me to school. He doesn't go with me, as he still has a job.

He says the warp gate is limited. There are only 3 in Japan as it is small. Three of the warp gate each placed in the north, middle, and south. There's one in Tokyo so it's not hard to go there.

In the school, other than the school subject, we learn martial arts, military training, and exorcism.

I learn many things in that academy. From history about first war, the foundation of the shinigami agency or department. I also knows that shinigami is a common knowledge to people with a higher clearing level in the government.

I met Yakihiko Hessen when I first come to school. We have been best friend from then on. He is smart and strong. He also help me instal a program in my phone, and make a hologram.

I also become Yota apprentice, and accompany him to his patrol sometime. My parents only knows that I work with Yota, but doesn't know the kind of work we do. Sometimes we tell a newly made ghost to the Reincarnate centre, exorcize evil spirit, and killing demon.

Every student was given a gun a sword when the reach middle school. They have it saved in their watch, so they could be called out when they ever need it. It's morning, okasan and otosan is not home today. I am 15 years old now, meaning shinichi still 10. I'm watching news while eating my breakfast. The news shows that a bombing accident in shinjuku. It says that the culprit demand money if they don't want the bomb to explode.

I immediately stood up and prepare myself to go out. Shinichi is still sleeping. So I don't need to make excuses to go out.

I remember that there's two bomb. Each in a highrise building. One of the bomb explode and that person died. I have to hurry. I wear a black clothing, glove, and hat. It might be suspicious but better than my identity being caught.

I walk to train station to shinjuku. I open my phone, wear a headset so I can hear the news. I find the address and go there. When I arrive I saw the civilian just finish evacuation. Now the bomb defusion squad walk inside.

I know this is the building that's going to explode because they arrive earlier. And haven't found the other building yet.

Now the problem is how do I sneak inside. I detour to the back door. I tried to open the back door, surprisingly it's open. `probably because of the evacuation. In case the backdoor is needed so they open it. `

I walk inside without hindrance. ' they really are relaxed in the security' I thought as I sneak through to see which floor their going to. Once I found out I goes to another elevator that have different place, which I found when I stealth through from the back.

I stop one floor below theirs and walk up with the emergency stairs. Once I reach in front of the emergency room upstairs, I peek through the door. I almost got a jump scare when I notice one of the guard stand right beside the door. I manage to keep quiet somehow.

The emergency door is open so if anyone pass by they would be able to see me. I lay down and look around. Fortunately he is the only guard.

I pull out a sleep talisman. Put it on the guard. He then fall asleep. I manage to catch him and his equipment before it falls down. I put down the shield first. Then I carry him down The emergency stairs. Put him on the flat surface on the ground in the emergency stairs.

'ugh, it's heavy. If it weren't for the training that I got I would already fall.'

I take off his protective clothes so I can use it. ' it's really troublesome to use this. But I have to if I want to be alive.' I mock myself at that.

I walk closer to kenji hagiwara, the one responsible for defusing the bomb. They other guard surround the bomb and him. ' it's ironic. They want to save people but with this formation, if the bomb defuser make a mistake, it would be the end of him. '

I joined their formation. No one suspected anything, as their too nervous with the bomb. Kenji hagiwara already opened the bomb. `The bomb isn't that complex, so even I can defuse it with the knowledge I gain from school.` Yes the academy also teach bomb defusing.

The timer on the bomb turn black. Kenji hagiwara smile, "looks like the other department fullfill what the criminal demand. Alright, you guys don't need to surround me. It's stuffy. "

The others let their guard down and step back. Other sit down in the seat around them. I am anxious. Just as I was about to persuade him to continue defuse the bomb, his phone ring. He also pick it up.

As he speak on the phone, I was planning to defuse the bomb myself, but I don't have the tool. The tool that kenji hagiwara use is still in his hand. I took a barier talisman. It's weak but it will reduce the explosion.

I forgot to bring the talisman that I made. The talisman in my wacth is the lowest grade given from when we start practicing making talisman. It's fortunate enough that I have some. I took out all of them and I mean just three of them. I modify it A little so the barrier work in reverse.

When the bomb start counting down, kenji hagiwara immediately turn around and shout for us to get down. I take advantage of the time gap, put the talisman on the bomb and kick it to the corner where no one there.

After kenji hagiwara finish speaking, and get down, I cover him with the shield that I held. Then the bomb explode. It's fortunate that the shield is wide and strong enough to protect us.

The barriers reduce the explosion alot, it cause the Window to break and fire to start. Fortunately, the bomb defuser squad protective clothing is thick enough to let them survive without a scratch, only some of them is unconscious, that include kenji hagiwara as he didn't wear any.

I look around for fire extinguisher. Found it in the corner. The bomb was handled, that only leaves for the fire.

' I understand why kenji hagiwara doesn't want to wear this. It's too stuffy.'

I leave my shield to pick up the fire extinguisher in the other corner of the room. Then run to fire and start using it. The fire haven't gotten that big yet, thus using just one barely enough. While the rest of the small fire, I took of my protective gear and trow it to the fire. `As expected of the bomb squad protective gear, it's fire proof. `
