Episode 19

Upon entering the room, Larissa was still asleep, her father and Doruk at her bedside, dumbstruck by what had occurred. How could a young woman who might have been dead now lie there as if nothing had happened?

Seeing Demir enter, Doruk rushed to his side and grabbed his arm.

"Come look!" Doruk, pointing at Larissa's head. "See that scar?" Demir nods. "That's the blow she took. With that hit, she should have died, but here she is. It hasn't even healed yet." Doruk

"They've hurt her badly," Demir said, tears in his eyes.

"Yes, cousin, but now she’s here and we must protect her from everything and everyone." Doruk.

"I've spoken with her friend, and she just confessed to me that Larissa was convinced that the police had harmed her." Demir.

"She told you that?" Doruk.

"Of course, and I know she's not lying. But beyond that, it means she remembers and might even know who they were." Demir.

"Cousin, I know it was a mystery to you what happened, but we can't torment her. We need to understand how all of this affects her." Doruk.

"You’re right, son. Your sister has to recover first, and then we'll find out who was responsible. Now let’s enjoy this blessing." Demir’s father.

"You're right, dad, I'm sorry." Demir turned his gaze towards Larissa - "She's so beautiful! How she's grown! She's a woman now, dad, have you seen her properly?" Demir.

"Yes, son. I don’t want her profession to be an impediment to having a relationship. Now we need to ensure she feels well and try to be that family that was torn apart a few years ago." Demir’s father.

"Yes, dad!" Demir.

The next day, Larissa opened her eyes to find her cousin Doruk by her side.

"Good morning, Larissa! How are you? How do you feel?" Doruk, with a smile on his face.

Larissa tried to sit up in bed.

"I'm okay, doctor. What am I doing here?" Larissa, touching her head which still felt painful.

"With the commotion yesterday, you fainted, and we brought you here." Doruk.

"Commotion? So, it wasn’t a dream?" Larissa, somewhat confused.

"No, Larissa, it wasn’t a dream. Your family is outside the room waiting for you to be ready to talk with them. I will only let them in when you feel ready and are willing to understand your life and know who you are. I know it's hard, so you must take your time, okay?" Doruk.

"I would like to meet them now. Are you sure they are my family?" Larissa.

"Of course, they are! Do you want me to let your parents in?" Doruk.

"Yes, please, it's what I wish for more than anything in the world." Larissa excitedly.

Her parents entered the room, unable to hide their joy at seeing the eyes of their little girl again. As they approached, Larissa started to cry, the connection between them palpably strong. They reached for her hands, and without a word, she pulled them into a strong embrace, causing everyone to start crying.
