New Discovery

Morning, 9:45 am

Everyone was gathered in the Dining hall, sitting upon their seats in silence. Food was served but the room was filled with complete silence. "Captain, maybe she has her reason to not come here, she was injured badly yester-" one of the men tried to speak but Jay silenced him. "SHUT UP! DO I LOOK LIKE I CARE IF SHE HAVE A REASON OR NOT!?" He shouted which made everyone flinch, including his girlfriend who was sitting next to him.

"REBECCA! REBECCA!" he shouted and Rebecca shakingly came in his presence. "Y-yes Captain!"

Jay glared at her. "Did you not inform that girl about the weekly breakfast!?" He demanded angrily. "I did Sir! just yesterday and even before i sent her to her room!" She explained.

Jay rubbed his fingers against his forehead. "Go get her" He sighed and looked at her.

"NOW!" The maid flinched and rushed outside the hall to get Amy. Travis, who was sitting right next to Jimmy, gently tucked his sleeve. "What is it?" Jimmy asked gently. "Is the captain talking about my sister? If yes, then why isnt she here yet?" He asked innocently. " Dont worry, she will be here soon....you, eat up" Jimmy comforted him while smiling gently.  "Okay... as long as she is okay...." Travis faked a smile.

"Babe, lets just stop waiting for that, peasant girl or whoever she is... Right? Who even cares!?" Jay's girlfriend spoke up. "I know that Kellen, but this is none of your business" Jay replied, trying not to be more angry.

Kellen rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "That damned of a girl. She is probably from a poor district where they teach no manners to broke people" She complained. Travis finally broke his silence. "HEY! YOU CANT TALK LIKE THAT ABOUT MY SISTER!" He stood up. Kellen was about to scold him but then, Rebbeca rushed back inside.

She was breathing heavily and her legs were shaking. Jay immediately noticed that something is wrong. "What happened, where is that girl?" he asked. "CA-CAPTAIN!!!" Rebecca panted as her face color started turning pale. "SPEAK UP!" Jay shouted. "MISS AMY, SHE!-" Jay's eyes widened as he got up from his seat. He rushed outside in the speed of light, leaving everyone behind in shock.

"huh!? what happened to my sister!? is she not okay!?" Travis asked Jimmy in a worry. "No No! she is fine! Don't worry okay!?" he assured, but deep inside he was as worried as Travis was.

"Hope she dies though...." Kellen whispered to herself and started eating like nothing happened at the first place.

Jay rushed towards Amy's room, with Rebecca leading the way. When he finally reached the door, he flung it open and got inside. His froze upon seeing Amy, lying unconscious on the floor, with her face all pale. Jay rushed to her side and gently picked her head up. He checked her pulse to see that it was barely working.

"QUICK! GET THE NURSE!" He ordered. Rebecca nodded and rushed outside. Jay looked at Amy's helpless, unconscious body. He has always had fun and a great pleasure seeing people suffer. But this time it was different. He wasnt sad, but not happy either. His expressions were blank. He gently lifted Amy's chin and stared at her face. She was actually pretty, it was the first time that he had seen her closely.

Just then, Rebecca came rushing inside the room with an old nurse. "Captain! the nurse is here!"

"Lady Maria is here!" She gestured towards the old nurse. The nurse took a look at Amy and patted her wrist gently. "What is it!? is she okay??" Jay asked. "Captain, does she have like..... a power within her...!?" Lady Maria asked. Jay Raised his brow in confusion. "Did you not know this earlier? everyone here knows that she possesses some healing powers" He replied. Lady Maria shook her head. "Her pulse is telling me something else" Rebecca looked at Lady Maria with a worried face.

She sighed and then handed Amy's pale hand into Jay's hand. "What are you doing!?" He asked in annoyance. "Check her pulse" She adviced. "I just checked it a few minutes ago! it was working slow but it was work-" He stopped. His hands froze into one place when he realized that she didnt had a pulse no more. Nothing at all. "Sh-She is... Not alive!?" He gasped. Lady Maria shook her head. "She is breathing"

Jay's suspicion now turned into reality. She sure had something inside of her. Well, obviously a power. But something even stranger then that. "Lady Maria....." He said, in a shallow voice. She looked at his blank, yet shocked face. "What did you mean earlier when you said she have something inside her??"

"Captain, not something like power. Something like the Utobian Crystal. Its like that is fitted inside of her" Jay's eyes widened as he looked at the old lady with shock. "No... this couldnt be..... that crystal is-" He was interrupted soon by Jimmy, who walked inside the room calmly.

"the most rare crystal to ever exist on Earth, it holds magnificent powers. Either can it be used for peace or either for the evil its up to the person who has it" He completed. "When did you get here??" Jay asked. "Its not relevant right now" Jimmy looked at Amy. "Let me see" He came up to her pulse-less, yet breathing body and sat down beside her. He put his right hand on her heart and closed his eyes.

After a minute, he opened his eyes. "What is it? does she have the-" Jimmy looked at him with blank eyes. "She have that crystal" Everyone in the room was stunned, including Jay. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN!?" jay yelled.

"Its in her heart"

"HOW DID IT EVEN GET IN THERE!?" he gasped. "it actually developed there" Jimmy continued. He got up and picked out a book from the nearby bookshelf.

"There is an urban legend that says: Inside the heart shall it begin, that magna-holic ubtobian stone. And outside the heart shall it come, when one pass the redemption" He finished reading and put the book back in the shelf.

"According to the legends, it develops in the heart of 1 person after every century. And when that person finally gives in to something, or sacrifice something dear to him...."  Jimmy stopped and looked at Amy. "Or her".

"It comes out of the heart, as a reward for the sacrifice" He finished. "So it means, she...." Jay tried to speak but couldn't finish.

"She is the person the crescent's need the most right now. The crystal in her heart can grant her every wish, on a specific period of time if used wisely. The ship can be protected of any attack whilst she, or that crystal is in here"

Jimmy answered. Jay leaned forward to Amy and checked her pulse again.

"But...." His voice felt lighter then usual. "Is she okay?" He asked. His question made Jimmy and the others stunned. "You are asking if she is okay?? since when do you care?" he asked. Jay had no answer to that. "Look, if that care and all is because of the crystal, you dont need to do that. This will only break her heart." Jimmy advised. "Dont give her the wrong idea, everyone knows you are a player" He continued.

"And another thing.... if her heart breaks way too much. The crystal breaks too. And then she is gonna die." He warned.

Jay kept silent. Cough Cough Everyone's attention diverted towards Amy, who finally atleast coughed after a long time of silence. "Amy!?" Jimmy rushed towards her. She slowly opened her eyes. "W-what happened??" Rebecca helped her up.

"You fainted in your room! are you okay!?" She asked worriedly. Amy held her head. "Well my head does feel lighter.... but iam... fine i guess" She assured.

Jay silently stood up. "Get some rest" he glanced one last time at her and left the room. This was when Amy realized that he was with her too. (He!? what was he doing here!?) she thought.

Jay walked out of Amy's room and headed towards the dining hall he had left half an hour ago. He stopped in his tracks when he saw a wave of people rushing outside the dining hall, in an undisciplined manner.

Jay boiled up in anger and ran inside the hall. There stood Kellen, gulping a glass of water while sitting peacefully on the edge of the table.

"Kellen!? did you do this!?" he snapped at her. "Did what babe?" she asked.

"You told everyone to dismiss, didn't you?"

"Uh yes i did" She replied.

Jay sighed and closed his eyes. Kellen looked at him, then slightly hugged him. "Awww! dont be mad! you know i just can't cut the habit of handling the ship work. Iam just practicing for when we get married and then i get to give orders, just like you!" She stated. Jay shook her hands off him slightly. "Don't ever do this again, understand?" He asked. Kellen nodded in a yes.

Jay stared at Kellen, who blushed by the intense gaze he was passing her. "Am i looking pretty?? why are you staring at me?" She asked.

"No, didn't i tell you that before? NO SITTING ON TABLES LIKE THAT. This is against the ship manners." He crossed his arms and his face went blank. Kellen hurriedly got off the table and put the water glass aside. "Sorry" She appologized.

"It better not happen again" Jay looked at her with a deadly glare. "Is that girl dead yet?" She replied. Jay shook his head in a no.

"Aww too bad. i would've loved to attend her funeral" She laughed but jay shushed her.

"Next time, try not to get yourself into something related to me" He warned and headed outside.

"WHAT!? NOW THAT BROKE GIRL IS SOMEONE RELATED TO YOU!? HUH!?" she shouted in anger, while Jay left the hall.

Amy was lying on her bed, with Rebbecca by her side. "Miss, take this medicine.... it will help with the headache" Rebecca poured a glass of water for her. Amy looked up at the ceiling and sighed. "I dont need any medicine" She stated. "But how will you recover if you wont?" Rebecca asked, while taking out the pill from a small bottle.

"Iam already ruined. Do you think medicine will help?" Rebecca went silent. "By the way..." Amy continued. Rebecca looked at her. "have you seen a silver necklace around here somewhere??? it has a blue stone on it" She asked. "No miss, i havent. Is your necklace lost??" Rebecca asked. Amy took a deep breath and nodded. "I lost it last night"

"It is something special to me." She said with a saddened tone. "What kind of special miss? oh, i get it. Someone special must have given it to you" Rebecca assumed. Amy shook her head.

"It has a whole lot a story behind it, iam too weak to explain right now" She replied.

"its okay, just take some rest. i wont force you for the medicine" Rebecca smiled and adjusted the blanket over Amy.

She carefully put the medicine bottle on the table and when she made sure that Amy was asleep, she left the room.

"Sir!"

"Come in, Rebecca"

Jimmy was sitting on the chair, with his feet up on the table. "She is asleep?" Rebecca replied in a Yes. Jimmy smiled and got up from the chair.

"You gave her the medicine before she slept, did you?" He asked. Rebecca who did the exact opposite, gulped. "Sir i..."

Jimmy glared at her. "You had one job and you couldn't even do it smoothly??" He demanded.

"Iam sorry Sir! But she insited on not taking the medicine! i couldn't just force it!" She explained.

Jimmy's facial expressions changed as he walked towards Rebecca. "Do you not know what happens when a person chose to disobey my orders?" He asked. "Yes sir but i-" Even before she could finish Jimmy pushed her so hard that she fell on the floor. "AHHHH!" she grunted in pain.

"Get out, before i kill you"
