Chapter 3: The Mystery

Continuation...

The arrow made the sword back to its initial form... a common stone. Sushie heeds that the ability doesn't seem to be from the Dark Castle of Ornaphendreul. The bolt inflicted an explosion that made Sushie diverse from the stone. Sushie got maimed and she's deliberately losing her intuition. She still feels dizzy, yet she tried to reach the stone near her but the girl in a mask came closer to it first. The stone reacted and it establishes a strong light that made her stop.

"You won't be able to touch it. Anyone who has a strong desire in its power won't be able to touch the stone"

The girl just smiled as she stand up and bring up her hand. The sky gets darker and a powerful latch continuously strikes Sushie which made her struggle in anguish.

"It's like seizing my soul away", Sushie said in her mind.

The bolt is trying to suck her energy and it's making her vulnerable yet she managed to attain the stone and swivel it into a sword again then attempting to strike the girl. She got wounded in her neck for trying not to take off the mask. As she got nudged away she created a strong force behind Sushie and it becomes a vortex that shortly yank Sushie.

The whirlpool deliberately vanishes.

" Where will that whirlpool take her?", asked Arnoux.

"To a different dimension where the powerful stone will become useless and can be taken away easily", the girl responded.

" What do you mean? Where is this place anyway?"

"You don't need to know more." Then the girl spread her wings and flew.

"Such an impudent! ", Arnoux reacted. " Well, enjoy getting used by the Dark Lord... you'll be dead meat later on"

Mortal World...

Sushie slowly opens her eyes. She feels so weak and still dizzy. She looks around but the area is unfamiliar.

"Where could this be?", Sushie murmured. She's in front of a small bridge. She just crouched down and observe the environment.

" Everything is unfamiliar ~ the ground, the lights are different and those things that move back and forth in that passage... four circles are...moving"

"This is driving me crazy!!"

Then she got reminded of what happened a while back. She tried to alter the stone but it doesn't respond.

"Did I become so weak?", Sushie mumbled.

Her elf ears are slowly turning into fatal ones and her wings.......it's gone.

" That girl...what have you done to me?", Sushie mumbled furiously. She started to feel cold and helpless.

"She will look after the stone. I need to do something. I can't be able to insure it in my situation."

Sushie saw an old lady gradually strolling down the bridge then she crouched down. She looks so weak.

"Her life will be at peace anytime now", Sushie concluded.

Something stopped by on the bridge after glimpsing at the old woman then shortly two people took off to check her. They look baffled then another one ceases by and hauls the body. Sushie was just watching them. After some hours... it's already getting shady. Sushie saw someone walking from a distance... it's a girl. She's pursuing a firefly.

" A pure-hearted one can only hold the stone.", Sushie concluded then she smiled.

Dark Castle...

"Ornaphendreul."

"Did you complete what you need to do?", Asked Ornaphendreul.

" Yes... as what I said...I will follow her in that world so I could handily take the stone. Sushie will slowly relinquish her powers there.", the girl responded. " I need your help to fill my absence in the Eri Castle"

"I will take care of that...just make sure to bring me what I need", Ornaphendreul responded. " Everyone will not be accepting you again if they figure out what you did so your life is in my hands."

"I don't mind it... I don't belong there anyway. I want power that they will notice. I want the Eri Castle and the Queen shouldn't be the Queen. She doesn't deserve it. She only follows her advisor...she's useless!", said the girl as she looks straight into his eyes.

" Shiya...Shiya is her name", Sushie whispered. " I'm counting on you...please live to protect the stone until I figure out how to get back to my world."

Sushie began to walk away slowly then an insignificant glow is approaching. It gets bigger and bigger. Sushie tried to just glance at it for she is confident that she can dodge it easily yet it is too late to realize that her wings are already gone a while back.

"Oh my gosh! Aimee... I told you to slow down! look what happens", Romelyne screamed then began to feel frightened.

" Did I...hit someone?", Asked Aimee nervously.

"I...I'm not sure. Let's get out of the car", Romelyne indicated. Then both went out to check. Sushie pretended to lose consciousness for help.

" It's...a girl Aimee.", Romelyne concluded then she hurriedly check her vibration. "She's breathing fine... I think she's just shocked"

"Let's carry her inside the car", Aimee suggested.

" Yes, please. Get me out of this place as fast as possible before they arrive.", Sushie said in her mind.

The two brought Sushie to the near hospital. Romelyne waited for Aimee then she finally gets inside the room.

"How is she doing?", Aimee asked.

" Still asleep. So, what did the doctor say?"

" She's fine. Nothing's serious damage and she can be discharged anytime", Aimee responded as she look at Sushie up and down.

"What's wrong?", asked Romelyne.

" Don't you think it's weird?"

"Weird? what do you mean?"

"Her clothing is weird.", Aimee said as she walk closer to Sushie. " Look closely... her clothes~ it's full of diamonds and this thing on her wrist... it has gems in it", Aimee concluded.

"Right..but...how'd you figure that out? I thought it was all fake.", Romelyne responded with astonishment.

" Oh come on Romelyne have you forgotten?... my father buys and sells precious stones. I learned something from him"

"Oh okay. So, what are you planning to do?"

"Hmm, nothing. I just thought we should keep her for now coz it is dangerous for her outside in that ", Aimee responded. " I'm not an opportunist and you know that."

"Of course!", Romelyne agreed. Then both smiled.
