Boy from the bar

Next day I woke up and encourage myself for another hellish day dealing with that pervert head and the bitchy secretary, just for the sake of my living. But sometimes I wonder, is this even living a life? Sometimes the thoughts of ending this suffering comes to my mind but I stop myself by remembering some faces, which i may never be able to see again but its definite that they are continuously watching over me and they surely doesn't wanna see my face above in their place and they may make my after death time even more terrible than life.

I laugh by myself imagining them kicking my ass if I ever choose any wrong path and it somehow gives me strength.

On my way to the office I bought a small box of chocolates and put a note inside it.

I reached the office and did my daily work until lunch. In the evening I served everyone coffee but this time being careful with riana and ignoring her bullshit she blabber as always. Lastly i came to erica's desk and as she doesn't like coffee she without looking up while writing some noted said,

"No, thank you"

I silently put the chocolate box on her desk and slid it in front of her eyes.

When her sight falls on the chocolates her eyes twinkled as if a kid saw her favorite toy.

"Oh"

She gets excited and looks up to me and just to keep the image of her being a poker face she changes her expression back to the poker one and asked,

"This?"

I ignored her and left before she could ask any further.

Erica tries to stop me but fails so she just looks back at the chocolate box a s finds a small note inside it saying

"Thank you"

She picks up a chocolate ball and eats it. She again starts working and mumbles

"Yum…"

I go back to my desk with a smile on my face just then I notice an unexpected notification on my mobile screen, which suddenly brings back so many painful memories that I always try to run from. My hands start to shiver and I instantly block that notification and sit while breathing heavily. Few tears found their way as some unbearable wounds opened just now. I tried to calm myself down and just left the office.

On my way back , I don't feel like going back home. I just remembered a new bar opened nearby. I change my way and go to the bar.

Though it's newly opened this bar has lots of customers already as its spacious and soothing music playing in the background is making me feel relaxed. I slowly start drinking a chilled beer. Yeah its stupid to drink beer in this cold weather but i need something to refresh my mind and forget that notification.

In a few moments I start to drink stronger drinks and without worrying about anything I get drunk and all goes blank.

RANDOM GUY'S POV

I really don't like coming to bars but can't be helped because it's my buddy this party animal's bday. I rolled my eyes and sat in the corner while holding a glass of wine though I didn't even take a sip.

All are having fun and enjoying the party though it feels like a totally different world for me. I guess I should just go out for a smoke. Just when i stand up someone grabs my wrist and ask,

"Dude its my bday u cant leave before we all get wasted"

I sighs and reply him while showing him a cigarette box,

" Shawn, I'm just going for a cigarette. And u dont drink too much too"

He giggles a bit, let go of my hand and say,

" hehe ok "

I need to cross the main hall to go outside. Just when I entered the main hall I saw an angelic face which felt a little familiar but still unknown. She was sitting on the bar counter, putting her head on the counter. Her face was pretty red, guess she drank too much and her eyes were teary as if something bad happened which is the cause of her current state.

I as a stranger shouldn't get too involved with her but somehow i really wanna go help her.

I snap back to reality in a moment and ask myself while ruffling my hair,

"What's wrong with me?! I don't even know her"

I started leaving but stopped when I saw 2 guys approaching her. I again shook my head as I don't wanna get in trouble but I heard her voice.

"Le.leave me alo...alone uu…..baassstaaa."

She was too drunk to even utter a few words properly.

I sigh a bit and takes a few steps closer and i heard q guy saying

"Dude lets just take her to the back alley and leave her after we have some fun.what u think?"

Another guy replies

"Though she looks average her figure is fab lets go"

His words made me angry. The girl who I find really angelic and pure. And they are thinking such things for her.

I rushed towards her and pulled her hand which made her embrace me. I put my hand on her shoulder cover her and says with a little smile which was obviously not a real one as i really wanna beat these two bast@rds up,

"Excuse me, my girlfriend got a lil drunk."

One guy tried to say something but backed out when he saw my angry glare at them and understood that he got busted and should leave now.

I helped her walk, and took her out of the bar. I ask her while shaking her a bit,

" Miss hiiiii where do you live?"

She kept mumbling something but it was hardly understandable. After a few minutes she finally told me her address and fell asleep. I call a taxi and open the door.

Just when I try to make her sit she starts to shout

"WAAAH😭KINDNAPING! SOMEONE BABE ME😭KINDNAPING!!"

😐the driver and I both got startled and he glares at me suspiciously.

I laughs nervously and says,

"Haha😅wh..what are you saying dear?"

I first need to shut her up. I put on hand on my her mouth and tells,

"Sorry my ….w…wife😅 she is too drunk to think straight."

Driver still looked at me suspiciously and started driving.

I sigh as finally she is quiet and soon I will drop her.
