Lesson 3: Love can Gave All

"Ah, you're Zen, right? So that's why you're familiar..."

Jai walked-in at the right moment. Staring at the two of us, holding his laugh. That bastard was my older brother.

"pffthaha. hey, Zen. How's Jade as your teacher?", he asked kiddingly.

Why did I thought they won't be close enough after not meeting in a five years. So naive. They could always talk to each other through emails or social media. Sigh. But surprisingly, they don't change how they talk to each other at all. Is that how best of friends they are?

"S-Sir Dan teaches well", I automatically answered.

"Sir Dan? I can't get used to hear you saying that haha. You used to call him Ugly back then"

what the...

Why did my brother bring that up?!

"geez. You're the only StuPidly UGLY here!!", I said out of anger.

"Haha, see that? She must be scared that you're going to give her low grades for how she treated you when she was a kid. Look how you respect him now", brother added. "When did you learn sucking at other people, Zen."

I can't help but to feel the annoyance that my brother keeps emitting. I want to keep his mouth shut for good.

"Don't worry, Zen. I don't keep grudges", Jade Dan said with a straight face.

"THERE'S NOTHING LIKE THAT!!"

Nothing changed. Jai is still childish as what he is used to be. Only the good thing about him is that his money he is earning from his coffee shop. And Jade Dan was still the same also but I learned to respect him more now since he became my English teacher. I can't bring myself to bother him now like a playful child.

I think, I'm the only one who really changed.

We ate dinner this time together with Jade Dan. Everything went smoothly. Smooth as how I swallowed the food to my stomach.

But they still didn't drop the topic about me being one of the students of Jade Dan from now on. It's annoying that my ear almost got molds. They keep snickering and teasing me in our whole meal.

It's tiring.

I guess that's the main topic of our conversation besides asking Jade Dan 'how are they'.

I remembered when my brother ask Jade Dan why did they came back and he started telling this story about why they moved out 5 years ago.

He told us that his father built a branch of their little brewery business in a province to expand it. They make and sells beers. That's why their whole family moved out in the city. But then, two years after, their business went bankrupt because one of his father's business partner corrupting the money from the brewery.

Because of the bankruptcy, the workers of their brewery didn't get payed by the right amount of their wages and decided to fired the few of them. Many of them protested for what happened, until one of the workers in their despair plotted to kill his parents. The culprit of their parent's death was captured not long after.

Jade Dan is still in his 2nd year of college at that time and his brother is in first year of highschool. Left with the money from their parent's savings, He decided to finish studying college in the province taking an education course. After he graduated after 3 years, he immediately looked for a job in the City and bring his little brother, Lou, with him.

And he ended up teaching on my school and became my English teacher.

I never knew this before but this is not a secret they want to kept in the dark.

Honestly, I was moved after hearing this story. It is really admirable how Jade Dan became independent at a young age, losing their parents and acting as the head of the family at the same time. If I were on his position at that time, I'm not sure if I could still stand on my two feet just like he did.

I think he can gave all for someone special to him. I guess, he is someone reliable.

I'm no match to him.
