Noah didn't linger in his friends' dormitory. The looks from some of the other students there, as if still judging him for his absence from campus, made him feel ashamed.
Nevertheless, his absence from class after his recent breakup with Lucy, his girlfriend, was a humiliating ordeal.
Only after he convinced his three friends that he had paid his tuition fees did they allow him to leave.
They assumed Noah would go back to his usual part-time job and so, they decided not to detain him any longer.
By then, it was night. Noah intended to wait for a taxi at the university's bus stop, but upon arriving, he saw a girl with two large bags and many other items, sitting alone.
The spot being relatively deserted, Noah hesitated to approach the bus stop, fearful that the girl would think he was trying to flirt or, worse, accuse him of an attempt at assault.
Remembering the words of Silvia, Robert's girlfriend, Noah opted to keep walking. Unexpectedly, the girl called out to him.
"Hey, friend. Can you help me?"
Noah was a bit startled, but since the girl had initiated contact, he approached her cautiously.
"What can I do for you?"
"I've just arrived and have a lot of stuff. Could you help me carry it?"
"Are you a new student here?"
"Yes. I'm Jade. What's your name?"
Noah returned Jade's greeting, introducing himself, "I'm Noah."
"Nice name. Noah, would you mind helping me take this to the women's dormitory?"
"Okay, sure."
"Thank you."
"Don't mention it."
Noah's university was quite large. It was no surprise that someone new could get lost there.
Jade confessed she had just transferred to this university and would start attending classes the next day. Noah walked her to the women's dormitory.
"Noah, thank you. Someday I'll repay your kindness."
"Don't worry about it. It's no big deal. Well, Jade, welcome to the university, I should get going."
Jade watched Noah leave. It was a new experience for her; typically, men were captivated by her looks and would devise numerous schemes simply to extend their conversation.
But Noah, the young man didn't linger at all and simply left.
"He's an interesting guy," Jade smiled as she watched Noah disappear into the night.

People were now at crossroads; they could either stay and compete or join and become part of the network of the new corporation.

DevilHill wasn't just for entertainment. It also represented the primary business circuit in Silverstone.
Now, Alice, Antonius, and Alex became formidable figures behind the new Investment Company, known as World Order.
What caused further concern among many was their secrecy about who their major boss was.
Speculation was rife that it was a wealthy family providing them with massive financial support.
Because of the sudden emergence and their concerted effort to maintain secrecy, it seemed likely that was indeed the case.
Hence, people refrained from prying further to avoid trouble, until the facts surfaced.
That night, as Noah was about to sleep, he heard a tinkling sound in his head.

As soon as Noah uttered the word, a MBB and Point panel appeared in front of him.

Noah was puzzled. With twenty thousand points, it meant that Antonius and Alex had each spent five hundred million dollars, while Alice had spent a billion.
Though he had augmented Alice's account with a larger sum, he had not anticipated they would spend the entire amount to acquire various ventures.

At present, Noah wasn't overly concerned about what kind of businesses his company had taken over.

As he previously knew, one level cost 100 points. His Sense level increased by one, but the cost to elevate it further had changed; he now needed 200 points for the next increment, which also applied to the Intuition level.

After raising both once more, he realized that each subsequent level would cost an additional hundred points. He improved each one more time, expending a total of five hundred points.
"Now, let's try the others."

While the Vitality level was comparatively inexpensive, requiring only a thousand points to increase, both the Experience and Mentality levels came as a shock.
One level of Experience cost ten thousand points, and Mentality was priced at five thousand points.
After pondering, Noah understood the rationale; Experience and Mentality could not be attained by chance alone.
Possibly, having a high foundational level was due to his expansive work experience before encountering the System.
Similarly, a resilient mentality likely stemmed from his tough upbringing, confronting challenges since childhood.
Deciding it best to continue, Noah elevated both his Intuition and Sense by another two levels each, investing the remainder in Vitality.

There, he discovered that his pores were exuding a pungent waste. Following the purge, Noah cleansed himself thoroughly.
After it was over, he felt remarkably invigorated that night.
"Hmm... I bet I could land Greg in the hospital with just a flick of my finger."
