Episode 6

Alice's body was still trembling. Half an hour ago, Noah had just transferred fifty million to her account.

An amount of money she had never owned before. Noah had not even blinked when sending it.

Now, after the young man said he would leave to finish his business, Alice was left there, standing still with her own thoughts.

"I have to meet him," she decided.

Alice stood and prepared to go. At this moment, she determined to find the person her father had once trusted deeply.

As she was getting ready, Alice thought of Noah again. She shook her head and smiled.

"Alright, young man. Don't regret it, since you asked for it," she muttered.

Noah returned to his campus. On his way, after trying to transfer money to Alice with his phone, he tried to access all the banks he knew, to check his accounts.

What shocked him again was that in whatever bank he accessed, there he found an endless supply of money.

"How is this possible, are all these banks linked to one main account, mine?" he wondered to himself.

After a while, Noah didn't think much of it anymore. He only studied the financial authority laws of his country.

It turned out, there was no problem if he chose to transfer his money anywhere. The only issue would arise if he started buying things haphazardly.

Apart from being too conspicuous, it would disrupt the economic order. Moreover, it would be dangerous for himself.

Noah realized that with his current wealth, he wasn't strong enough to protect himself from those with malicious intent towards him.

"Ah, I must quickly build up my strength so I can move towards the pinnacle."

When Noah looked back at his Status Bar, there was no significant change. Only, his MBB was now decreased, but his PS had not increased.

One thing Noah was sure about was that Points would be added if he spent money on something that became immediately his. Conversely, if he only sent money to someone, it would not increase his System Points.

"Miss Alice better start using that money fast," he muttered again.

Upon arriving on campus, as Noah had expected earlier, many looked down on him. After all, the news had definitely spread. Those who now gazed at him and whispered were probably mocking him.

However, Noah just smiled in response to it all. In his mind, these people were just ignorant fools who knew nothing.

"You'd vomit blood if you knew how rich I am now," mocked Noah internally.

Noah turned around; he saw three people he recognized approaching him. One of them who addressed him was Henry, and with him were Liam and Noel.

The trio were close friends of Noah at the campus and roommates back when Noah still lived in the dormitory.

"Oh, you guys. I was just looking for a place to stay, and now I've found one."

"Noah, are you alright?"

"As you see, I'm fine. Why ask?"

"No, I mean... Didn't you just break up with Lucy? We thought... You..."

Henry and the other two were a bit taken aback. They believed Noah shouldn't be okay right now.

The video that had circulated showed how crushed Noah was when Lucy, his beloved girlfriend, broke up with him so brutally.

In addition, Noah had witnessed firsthand what Greg did with Lucy. But Noah they saw now was far from what they had imagined.

Henry showed Noah a letter. Upon seeing it, Noah just smiled. Even without opening it, he knew its contents.

Noah snatched the letter from Henry's hand. "Alright, thank you."

"Hey Noah, where are you going? Shouldn't we discuss this first? We could help you," called out Henry as Noah walked away after taking the letter from him.

"No need, I'll handle it. After that, I'll meet up with you guys, okay?"

Noah turned and walked towards the Faculty Dean's office, while his friends watched his retreating back with confusion.

"Henry, what's with him?"

"Yeah. I find him a bit strange."

Henry, feeling the same, just shrugged. "Who knows, let's just wait for him."

Earlier, the three intended to help Noah settle his overdue semester fees.

However, seeing Noah's demeanor, it seemed their friend felt like there was no issue he couldn't handle now.

Noah walked to the Dean's office, but as he got closer to the door, he saw Lucy just coming out from there.

A wave of awkwardness immediately took hold of his mood. Noah wanted to greet her, but was reluctant.

"Noah, why are you following me? I already told you, didn't I? Don't contact me anymore."

"Lucy, I'm not—"

"Yo, Noah. Looks like you're quite stubborn. Do I need to do something to you, to make it clearer?"

Noah's expression changed instantly when, once again, Greg appeared.

"I'm not following Lucy; I just want to see the Dean. I have something to settle."

Greg and Lucy saw the letter in Noah's hand. At that, Lucy rolled her eyes, while Greg, gave a disparaging smile.

"Hahaha. You can't even pay for your study fees? Would you stop bothering Lucy if I pay it for you? Consider it compensation from me for having been my girlfriend's keeper all this while, how about it?"

Lucy was taken aback by Greg's words. Him saying that made her feel like she was just an object to the young man.

"No Greg, you can take Lucy. Besides, I'm not thinking about her anymore. Do whatever you want. If you want to do it here, go ahead. I won't care. Now, I need to go in."

Truthfully, Noah's heart was seething. But at this time, he didn't yet have the strength to show how rich he was now.

In his heart, he swore to repay Greg at least tenfold in the future.

"Mr. Edmuns, just tell me how much I owe and how much more I need to pay for my college? ... Or, how about this. I'll transfer a million dollars, keep the rest for yourself, consider it compensation from me for being overdue."
