One eye bird

The whole night wasn't peaceful, even though, those entities never tried to broke in, the were like confused, as John, lifted his head to monitor outside, Stephan open the door, and came out, this action frightened John as the later stood prepare to give his last fight.

"Don't worry, the have gone, it's rare to see them during the day, let's go grab some stuffs, we may lack what to eat" said Stephan.

John walked down the mucus snow with alot if efforts, he started cursing his small height, he wasn't alone, alot of people came out too, and headed down town, the military were there, with food package, and were handing each package to a person.

"Hmm, there's something strange..." John fell uncomfortable, as he had the impression of being observed, he soon realised that, everybody was staring at him, the arrived Infront of a military car, as the soldier looked at me from head to toe.

"Is that your son?" He asked Stephan, the later refused and responded "my small brother" he said, and John was shocked, the came back with two backs of provisions.

The next day, something unexpected caught their attention, the snow had disappeared, which sign those this mean, was it good or bad, asked John.

No matter what, places could be seen clearly without all the white stuff, he looked at Stephan who was preparing breakfast, and stayed quiet on the sofa near the door, he turn his head towards the window and could see the morning sun rising up, at this moment a thought passed in his head, as he stood up and came closer to the window.

"Breakfast is ready" "I would be leaving" "Huh?" Stephan, who had just finished preparing breakfast was surprised by the announcement, he wasn't surprised, he knew that, John could not stay here forever, especially, where he was treated inhumanly, he was just surprised that it was fast, "I see, what's your destination" asked Stephan, "I don't know, I would scavenge here and there" said John, strangely he was smiling, and this surprised Stephan, who had never seen this person smiling, "if that's the case, can you stay for atleast a day or two, the time to prepare" requested Stephan, as John looked at him.

The following days were busy, John's preparation stuffs were complicated to find, he needed weapons like a short knife, cloths, shoes, food and necessities, at the end, his bag was two time his small size, he was just six, how was he going to carry this stuff.

John turn and looked at Stephan "Don't look at me like that, following the list, you need everything inside, and with your abnormal body, that did not grow, you can't" Stephan tried defending himself as he brought out another bag, who had first aide equipments.

"Haaaa... Shit!" John cursed as he kicked on an iron spot, "Huh?" Stephan stared at the spot, shocked, he turn and faced John "try and lift it up" he requested, John looked at him, turn and look at the bag, his hand gradually came closer to the handle of the bag, as he grabbed it, both him and Stephan were shocked seeing the result.

An air blast swept the area, lifting up a cloud of dust, as John was send flying, he broke into a building glass, amidst the chaos, John was calmed, as he rolled down towards the floor and hide on a blind spot.

A large feather cleared the dust, as a large head could be seen, it's characteristics similar to that of bird, this was definitely not to be classified bird.

Modified Rapass.......

A modified beast, it's origins are still to be determined, if not of it's similarity with the eagle birds, it would look like an entity coming out from an apocalyptic otherworld.

The bird had one eye, but it kept vibrating from left to right, scanning the area, nothing could escape the gaze of the bird, broken glasses, open doors, flying paper, everything was in slow motion, as the bird pounced in a building.

John took a look out, the bird did not pay attention to him, and was busy digging into another building, and it did not take the bird long, for him to fetch out something.

Haaaaa help, boss, help!" The man with the piercing all over his face was the unfortunate, as he was turn into mince meat and swallowed, the bird did not stop there and continued Searching for prey.

"****" John cursed as he saw the beast coming his way, he turn and looked around to find out if he had nothing useful, his bag was taken, and his only weapons which were the lighter and the perfume spray were taken as well, what was left was his fruit knife, he could not believe that, this knife had always been with him in all situation, from bad to worst.

At the other end of the street, Morgan, the handsome criminal stood near the window and observe the scene, he had no sense of sympathy to his subordinate who passed out miserable, beside him stood Angela, the muscular woman and the last, Dom, the tattoo guy, their stealthiness was remarkable, as none had done any noise since then.

This situation could be explained, as the bird and this group had a special relationship, as hunters and preys.

Two weeks ago, Morgan had huge banned of criminals under his order, he was strong and powerful, as the recent crises enabled him to take over the prison walls, building a large base, where he stood at the top,but reality of the situation occuring came slapping him, as in one night, strange birds encircled them and trapped them in walls, each time the were hungry, a prisoner would be gone.

Despair and misery fell upon them, as the were no hope, but one morning, a man who was tired of this situation ran out, the bird did not catch up to him, and left him, the prisoners were startled, but nobody had the courage to run out.

As the days were short and the nights were long, the next morning, a prisoner fell on the floor as he was terrified, he pointed up and everybody, including Morgan look at the direction of his finger, it's at that moment, Morgan understood the birds trick.

"The are playing the hunt game" said Morgan, as he stared at the half eaten body if the prisoner who escaped the previous day.
