Rain and Thunder

Alden was still standing inside the house like a statue. He couldn't believe what he heard.

(flashback)* Ella- "You better sing these papers. Otherwise see you at the court." He saw her eyes full of furry. With each word he felt a weight in his heart. He saw her leaving the house but he couldn't stop her. (flashback ends)*

With that she was just gone. He looked at the papers in his hand. When he saw it was divorce papers he felt a little uncomfortable and his eyes darkened. He couldn't describe what it was. But it was surely unpleasant.

Ella's pov-

The rain was still pouring ('patter...patter'). The sunny sky disappeared and everywhere black clouds can be seen. The dark sky was lit up by lightning with 'rumbling' sounds of thunder. We were at Ana's house. I was looking outside of the window blankly. Rebecca offered me a cup of hot coffee. Taking the coffee in my hands i asked...

Ella- "Since when.....you guys know about it?" I didn't looked at them. Ana spoke first after sometime.

Ana- "Last month. After confirming our suspicions. I know it took long. But it was matter of 4lifes. You, Theo, Liya, Alden. We didn't want to falsely accuse someone. But"... she looked at Rebecca and Theo and said- "we didn't know your mom also known about this."

I closed my eyes hearing that. My mom? I still can't believe what she told me today. But hearing what she said it felt like she knew all of these things from the beginning. So why didn't she stopped them. Why didn't she told me. Why now when i found out about it?

Theo- "We all don't know why your mom is also involved in this. But we heard what she said to you. And i think she knew about it all along."

Rebecca- "I just can't understand a thing. She is also Ella's mom then why the hell she did that?"

Ella's phone rang. It was Mr. Davis. Ella's didn't picked up the phone. Mr. Davis called her again. Ana and Rebecca looked at eachother. They know how much Mr. Davis adored his elder daughter. So they told Ella to pickup the phone or at least leave him a message so that he won't be worried about her.

I listened to them and leaved a message for father, saying 'I'm occupied with something now and I'll call him later.' I didn't want my father to worry. I knows that how much my father loves me. He's is in a business trip in other city and I'll tell everything to him ones he come home. But not before that, as he'll surely try to comeback as soon as possible not taking his health in mind.

That night i couldn't sleep at all. I cried all night. Even with heavy rain and thunderstorms i wasn't afraid. I could only think off what I saw in the morning...what my mom told me... the evidence..the photos.

After crying so much i felt my throat dry. So I thought to get some water from kitchen. I was going downstairs when i saw a someone on the balcony standing.

Theo's pov-

The sky was fully covered with black clouds. It was thundering heavily also. We all were staying at Ana's house. Rebecca and Ana stopped me here by saying driving in this heavy rain can be dangerous. So i stayed back. But i couldn't sleep so came to the balcony. The balcony was covered with glass so the rain couldn't wet the area. It was beautiful and spacious as the night sky can be seen clearly. With sudden light in the room I looked back from the balcony to see Ella standing near the stairs. Seeing me standing there she turned off the lights and went to kitchen. I also again stared at the midnight sky where not a single star can be seen. Whenever the sky lit up by thunder it looked so magnificent. Ella came from the kitchen with two glass and a bottle of wine. I looked at her with a face like 'whats she's doing?' She just handed me a glass and poured me some wine. I also didn't say anything. We were enjoying the silence while seeping the wine.

Breaking the silence Ella questioned - "when you get to know......that Liya is cheating behind your back why didn't you confront them? Did you not get angry? Did you not feel betrayed?"

I looked at her tearful eyes. She was in the verge of crying again. I could tell from her face and red eyes that she also did slept a wink. She was drunk so I took the glass from her. But she grabbed the glass saying...."don't...i need it now." I understood she was deeply hurt as I'm. I let go of the glass. Seeping the wine i answered her.

Theo- "When i was investigating them,..... when each time i saw them together....i...i didn't confront her as i was very afraid of the outcome. I didn't want to believe. I thought even if she for one time...if she'd say that there's nothing like these going on between them. These are all misunderstanding.... if she'd ask for forgiveness..... I'd tear apart all the photos..all...all evidences. I'd belive in her. I'd forgive her."

Tears swelled up on my eyes but I didn't cry... I didn't want to. Ella put her hand on my back and said it will not make you weak. Cry.... vent all of the anger....vent all your emotion. It will make you feel comfortable. Listening this i couldn't stop the tears. Ella patting my back i cried my heart out.

(flashback)*... Liya standing with a small cake in her hand- "Happy birthday Theo...i made this cake myself. Do you like it?

(flashback ends)*

His heart was pounding so loudly. He felt so happy that his girlfriend made a cake for him. He always know Liya like this sweet, kind hearted girl. But when he remembers her betrayal all of her being a sweet, kind-hearted image, all his love shattered. He hated her for cheating him like this. If she wasn't happy with the relationship she could have told her. why did she do that. Why betrayed him. My mind also was clouded and there's also thunderstorms going inside my mind and heart like the outside sky.
