Leave.

I kept rubbing my nails as I continued… "I am coming in a bit…" I tried to make up a believable situation in the short amount of time given. "He must have not tidied himself up properly…"

"Huh?" My throat dried up as he raised his suspicions. I am not a good liar, it was already difficult for me to lie but I don't know what will happen when my lie comes out. I was terrified by this thought but I remained calm, not to get found out.

"My mate…" I walked away to avoid his eyes and continued, "He works in…"

"I understand… He must be a Factory Worker…" he replied, cutting me off.

"Yeah… I need to get him to freshen up" I nodded two times and left hurriedly. I closed the door quickly and huffed. Aden, without understanding, continuously whispered to ask what happened to me.

"Your… smell" I said while huffing. He understood it within a minute as he went out secretly with the emergency door. It must be strange to have an emergency door in a small house. It was needed as we lived inside the deep forest where both animals and rouge could attack anytime. The emergency door was our assurance. Sometimes, we would use it for other purposes too. I waited for him in the room till he charged himself up. Normally, it takes a lot of time but I wished it was rather hurried up and he would return before Derek would be knocking on the door. As expected, it didn't go as I wished.

"Dere…k… Wait… a minute… I am dressing up…" I didn't have any other choices except trying this. No gentleman would bother when a female is dressing up. It was unexpected that the knock still continued. I was afraid now, I didn't know the reason for his continuous knocking, nor could I open the door now. I was afraid as no voice spoke but only the rhythmic sound could be heard. I was trapped.

"I…"

As I felt Aden's aroma, which I specially made for him to hide his origin, I slowly opened the door.

"What took you…"

I expected his question but I didn't expect a stop in between. I tilt my head without understanding what was going on.

"Leia… I am… still in towel…" Aden spoke from behind.

In a Towel? N@ked? Dirty thoughts kept roaming inside my mind while my embarrassment grew.

"If you… I can…" he stopped midway awkwardly, maybe he didn't know what would be appropriate to say. It's not only him but it was also me who felt the same but I needed to say something to get out of this awkward situation!

I racked my brains out to no avail. There was nothing I could think of fulfilling and so, the awkwardness continued for minutes. Aden must be the only one who didn't feel any embarrassment. The silence broke when, "You can try out this perfume recipe!" I shrieked as I couldn't understand what he was doing. "This is made by Leia… It helps to wash away the odors of crude oil and sweat. It's really helpful…" I turned my gaze towards him, understanding that he was planning something. "Leia was helping me put on the perfume and gave me a massage, you can try it out too…"

"Oh! I see…" he said out awkwardly and murmured himself a curse. He avoided our eyes so as not to get embarrassed. It was funny, I could barely hold my laughter. Thinking about his past behaviour, gave me shrieks. He isn't just a simple wolf. I gulped.

"Since, it's already late… let's sleep now" We all agreed to sleep together but Derek kept hesitating. I knew why he was hesitating, so I made a separation on the bed. I didn't know what happened after that as I was in a deep slumber. The last thing I remember was Derek continuously turning over and over the bed. It's already morning, and I didn't find Aden beside me. I tried to search for Derek but no one was beside me. My fear kept increasing when I found the soft texture of the four-leaf clover. It was already drying up. My thoughts roamed about what happened yesterday and I clenched on the leaf tightly. It gave me the belief. I found my way to the living room. Cluttering sounds could be heard from the kitchen. I stumbled on an object as I tried to venture into the room. I was going to fall but a hand grasped me. It was no one other than Derek.

"It's the third time since yesterday… I told you to be careful! Can't you take proper care of yourself?" I blink my eyes.

He let out a breath and made me sit on the chair.

"Sit here… I will give you breakfast in a minute… till then, clean yourself up…" Is he crazy? How can I freshen myself up if I sit here? I rolled my eyes and made my way to the washroom. He was already in the kitchen, preparing breakfast. If he had seen it, he would have lectured me till my ears bled.

"Breakfast is ready!" He shouted. I quickly walked, making sure that I don't stumble another time.

"Where is Aden…?" I haven't seen him since I woke up. Normally, he would wait for me to wake and freshen up.

"Oh! He said he had some work to do, so he needed to leave early in the morning. It is really unbelievable that you both trust me so much!"

Trust? I never trust anyone, it's just that we know how to protect ourselves from others and we are prepared for any misfortunes. So, it's not trust on you, it's trust on ourselves.

"Okay… I see, I guess he will return late then…"

"Well, you are going to be alone?"

I flinched and focused on my surroundings. There was no sound of Breeze, tip-tap of rains nor the smell of the weather. It was a bright sunny day and it was also time for his leave.
