CALISTA'S POV

I was walking thinking of how to solve the situation that I was in as the rent was do in less then three days

Father was the one that used to pay rent since , until he got arrhythmia it was a horrible time for us but I have a steady for now and little savings in my account

I was walking across the street when i saw my favorite cafe was open and i decided to go there as it has been a long time since I visited

I was distracted in my thought I didn't think about looking out for cars , when a car came in speed almost hitting me

I saw my life flash before my eyes and as I closed thinking is this how I die before i even start my dream job am going to die , I wasn't even ready to die

I still had more things i want to do , experience after a few minutes without feeling anything or pain I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar person asking if I was okay and not hurt

am still alive

"Are you alright, miss?

I was angry at myself for not looking where i am going

"Are you alright,miss?''

The unfamiliar figure asked this time with an impatient tone as if he didn't want to even stand there

"Do I look like I am alright , I almost died for god's sake , spare my precious life "

I answered looking annoyed

" Look ,Miss, take my business card and got to the hospital and tend to your wounds and call the number if it's something critical i will take responsibility "

He said handing me a card that stated his name, business name and a phone number and leaving right after leaving utterly speechless

"The least he could've done was act like he cared instead of annoyed "

I said to myself and went inside the cafe , I placed the card in my purse
