Their past

Gianna held Evelyn's hands, they were cold but little warmth could be still felt from the touch.She looked at her pale face and saw how peacefully she was sleeping.She thought of those past days...

Flashback...

"Anna get up... how long are you going to sleep...you lazy cat.."

" Eve...please let me sleep a little longer" the girl sleeping under the blanket said lazily.

"Oh come on Anna... everyday this is your same routine...why don’t you sleep early when you can’t get up early in the morning...Dad is waiting fir you at the breakfast table...come on... get up". She held the blanket tightly and gave a hard pull.

Ouch!..a girl cried out. Anna fell from the bed bundled up in the blanket.She was furious .

"Eve... I'll kill you..." She got up and chased behind her. Eve had alredy fled from the room after hering her curse..

Both ran down the stairs with Anna chasing after Eve. Evelyn quickly ran towards the dining room and hid behind Austin's chair.

"You stop right there..." Anna stoped in her track after hearing Austin's angry voice and sheepishly looked at him

"Uncle..it was all her fault...she pushed me from the bed.. " She began to complain..

"Dad she was not getting up.." Eve complained back.

"No it was your fault. why did you pull my blanket so hard"... Anna growled..

"Both of you enough.".angry Austin shouted at them he was fet up with these two quarreling every morning..

"No one would say you two have grown up..you still behave like kids...when will you start behaving like adults...and Evelyn you are older than her...why are you being childish. "

Austin was angry today.. he seemed a bit tensed too.Though these two know sometimes they are very annoying but he never scolds them... but today it seemed different.

Anna slowly came forward and hugged his neck and said lovingly " Uncle what is the matter...is anything troubling you...??? you can tell us.."

"Yes Dad what is the matter.? You look tenses."

Evelyn added after Anna.

He left a long breath and smiled" I can never hide anything from you two. How do you both understand me so well.

"Cause you are our everything... you have raised us from small and taken care of us and we have seen you struggle to tend to all our needs and keep us happy...how can we not understand you." both said together.

Tears filled his eyes as he hugged them both and stroke their heads.

"Now tell us what is the matter?" Anna spoke up."Yes dad what is it?"

Mr Austin hesitated for a second and then said

"You know Mr Wilson my friend and business partner .He has a son and they want you to marry him.Infact they have seen you and like you very much and want to make you their daughter in law. I couldn’t refuse them and have agreed to it. "

Dad..Evelyn said softly.

"Uncle how could you agree so easily...They don’t even know each other." Anna shouted. She was annoyed and angry after hearing the news.

"Anna shut up.." Eve tried to quiet her down she could see that Anna was furious.

"How can i... you have not yet met him..we don’t even know what type of a person he is...how can you just marry a random guy.....i don’t beleive it.."

"Anna please can you keep quiet for a second...let me talk to dad first.." she said softly

Fine..she turned around and left angrily to her room

Evelyn sat beside Austin and asked" Dad tell me what you want?"

Austin looked sad.. he couldn’t answer her.

Evelyn held his hand and asked softly.

"Dad i know you love us very much and whatever you will decide It'll be for our best. We both trust you.So don’t be sad. And you know Anna she reacts to everything.. let her calm down... actually she is just afraid to stay apart from me."

Austin looked at his daughter and smiled.. he then added.."Leon is a good boy, he is a successful Business man and is curently looking after his fathers business..he is also a good person and i know he will take care of you well....My dear Eve... you will be happy with him."

Eve could see happiness and assurances in her fathers eyes and she has never doubted his judgement so she agreed to this marriage.

"What about Anna.?".Austin asked somewhat worried. " Don't worry about her...I'll talk to her..I'm sure she will understand and will agree too." She said with confidence but deep in her heart she knew how much dependent and attached Anna was to her.Staying apart from her was like a nightmare to her.After her parents death she is too attached to her and can't even think about leaving her. She had also rejected her studies abroad when she got a call from the best medical College only because she had to stay apart from her sister. Now convincing her was really a tough job.. but Evelyn had to do it...for her fathers sake.She has to do this marriage.

Eve took a try of breakfast and went up. She knocked on the closed door which was locked from inside.

"Anna open the door..I've brought breakfast? but there was no response.She again called out but this time in a sweet voice.

"Anna please open the door.. see i have brought your favourite food. lets eat together.....i know you are hungry...even I'm hungry.... dear Sis plese Won't you open the door for your Eve."

Click...the sound of door opening was heard. Eve pushed opened the door and came inside. She saw Anna sitting on the disheveled bed and crying silently.

Her heart ached to see the person she adored the most in tears...it has been so long since she has seen her cry.
