Meeting Leon's parents

Gianna reached the Hospital heads office and entered in. She took a seat while Mr Miller welcomed her with a warm heart. "Dr.Adams we are very happy to have you in our hospital. " "It's my pleasure Sir,I'm thankful for giving me this opportunity."She said with a smile.Mr Miller then handed her her joining letter and discussed other terms with her.

After completing all the formalities Gianna asked Mr Miller." Sir about the case i discussed with you..." Oh! Yes i have kept all the files and reports ready..." He then took out some files from the drawer and handed it over to her.She took those files and began to go though them eagerly.

She was immersed in reading and going through the reports when Mr Miller asked her "Dr Adams, can i ask you what is your relation with this patient ? You said she is close to you.?..She looked up at him and said "Yes she is the most dear person to me....She is my sister." Mr Miller was surprised to hear it and added " That means you are Mr Austin's Daughter? " He furrowed his eyebrows and asked "But as far as i know, he has only one daughter. " Gianna smiled amd said " Yes you are right... He is my Uncle...and she is my cousin... " she paused for a moment then said "But she is more than a sister to me...we have grown up together and she has taken care of me like a mother."

Mr Miller could see how heartbroken she was.

"I can understand your situation and concern and i promise to help you in this matter. We have also been trying hard to cure her but as you know she got hurt on her head and the injury is very severe...and difficult to operate.It is very risky too.It has been five years since she is in coma and it is difficult to say when she will wake up.We have tried hard but it seems Only a miracle can bring her back."

Gianna listed to Mr Miller quietly and then said " I know it is a difficult situation but trust me I'll try my level best to bring her back. All my medical degree is useless if I'm incapable to cure my sister." She then requested Mr Miller to allow her to handle her sisters case from now on she will be responsible for her treatment.

Mr Miller agreed to her request but added " Dr Adams, I don’t have any problem and i think Mr Austin would agree too but"...He paused. She asked him "But what Mr Miller?" He hesitated and said "But we need to ask Mr William..afterall he is her husband and her guardian. So we need his permission too. But i think he will agree too."

Gianna was quiet after hearing this, she smiled, thanked him and left the office.

In Evelyn's room a middle aged man and woman were standing near her bed. Mr Austin was talking to them.They were Leon's parents Mr Rowan William and Mrs Eliana William. Mr Austin and Mr William knew each other through business dealing and had become good friends. It was because of this friendship they arranged the marriage of Leon and Evelyn.Though it was an arranged marriage but they believed both would get along and live a happy life.But that terrible accident not only shattered Leon but it also shattered everyones dreams too.

As Gianna approached towards Evelyn's room she began to feel nervous. She was afraid how she would react after seeing her...Will she be able to control her emotions. She burried her emotions in her heart and then entered.

Inside the room Mr and Mrs Willam and Mr Austin were busy talking when Gianna entered the room. " Uncle Austin..." she called out to him.

Everyone present there looked up toward the voice.Austin smiled at her and said " Anna you are here come here sweetheart. " The other two people were looking at her curiously. Gianna came forward and greeted them politely. " Hello uncle, Hello aunty." Both Mr and Mrs William were happy and pleased by her polite behaviour and greeted her with a smile. Mrs William asked Austin who is this young lady? Gianna smiled and answered " Aunt Eliana I'm Gianna, nice to meet you both after so long" Both the people were surprised after knowing who she was. "Gianna! It is so nice to see you dear after so long. You have grown up... and that too so beautiful... " Mrs William said excitedly."Yes She has grown into a beautiful young lady." Mr William added.

She smiled shyly on hering them praise her when Austin added "Not only a beautiful lady but the most famous doctor. And she will take charge of Evelyn's treatment from now on." Both were surprised as well as happy to hear about it.

Gianna interrupted them and said " Actually uncle i need to talk to you about that." " What is it Anna?" Gianna hesitated and then continued..."Uncle Austin i talked to the hospital head they said they need Mr Leon Williams permission before they can hand over Evelyn's case to me."

On hearing it Mr William said "Don't worry Gianna I'll talk to him and I'm sure he will agree."

Gianna thanked him and came near Evelyn's bed.Tears prickled her eyes and she felt a sharp pain in her heart after seeing the person lying on the bed peacefully.

The other three person present there could feel her pain because they knew both the sisters were very close to eachother and loved eachother very much. "Lets leave them alone,"Mr Austin said. "You are right let her spend some time with her alone afterall they are meeting after soo long." Mrs William said to then. They left her alone in the room and went out.

Gianna sat on the chair next to the bed and couldn’t hold her tears in any more and eventually burst into tears.
