The sports car slowed down as it approached the Martin Family's mansion and stopped in front of the door.

Renata gripped her fists tightly as she was guided by the servants to the bridal chamber.

"Mrs. Martin, the young master is waiting for you inside."

"Won't there be a wedding ceremony?" Renata asked in a weak voice.

Since she was in an unfamiliar place, she was completely defensive.

She couldn't help but wonder why the Martin Family wasn't holding a normal wedding ceremony.

One of the servants shot Renata a look of disdain and replied, "This is something we servants have no right to know. We are only here to guide you. Please head inside."

"W-wait!" Renate exclaimed in surprise as she was pushed into the room.

As she stumbled forward, she heard the door lock behind her.

"Hey! Why are you locking the door?" Without any hesitation, Renata turned around and banged at the door.

"Mrs. Martin, please enjoy your day," the servant replied from outside.

The new bride tried to twist the doorknob, but no matter how hard she tried, it wouldn't budge.

'What are they trying to do to me?' she thought.

After a few minutes of trying, she finally gave up and walked into the bedroom.

Faint sunlight penetrated the curtains so she could see the overall decoration of the room. It was a room that was bigger and more majestic than any house she had ever seen.

Red ribbons hung from the ceiling and the bed was covered in a red tester.

She carefully sat down on the bed and studied the room, thinking to herself that it would be her new home from that day onwards.

Suddenly, Renata noticed something move on the bed and quickly jumped out of it. "W-who are you? What are you doing here?"

She was shocked because she was in the bridal chamber, there should be no one in here other than her.

However, after waiting for a few seconds, she got no response. All she heard was the steady breathing of a man.

Renata held her breath and stepped forward slowly.

With the help of the faint sunlight, she saw the face of a handsome man sleeping on the bed. It was as if his facial features were carved out by God itself.

For a short while, Renata thought she was looking at a man that only appeared in epics.

"I-isn't this?"

After taking a good look at the man's face, she finally recognized him.

He was none other than the same Mr. Martin she'd run into at the hotel three months ago.

Seeing him only confused Renata even more. After pondering for a short while, she decided to head into the bathroom to fetch a bucket of water and splashed it over the man's face.

"Cough..." the man was woken up abruptly by it.

"Are you awake?" Renata quickly put the bucket down and asked the man on the bed worriedly. "I'm Renata. Do you still remember me? We met at the Grand International Hotel a few months back."

Believing that Daniel was in trouble, she decided to help him to return the favor.

"Mister, this is supposed to be the bridal chamber of the oldest young master. I didn't know you were here... I think it's best if you leave, or else they might punish you for breaking in here..."

Renata reached for the man's arm and tried to pull him up but failed to do so.

Daniel shot the woman an angry glare. He could not believe she actually had the guts to pour water on his face.

He pushed the woman away, but she quickly ran back to him. "Mr. Martin, are you still confused? If they find out you're in here, both of us will be in trouble!"

"Oh? Is that so?" Daniel raised a brow.

He scratched his chin and began to study the lady in front of him.

She was dressed in a clean white wedding dress and had a worried expression all over her pretty face as if she was about to cry.

The sight of her miraculously made his heart itch.

"W-wait. Don't tell me you're here to kidnap the bride or something..." Renata thought that Daniel had fallen in love with her after their previous encounter. "I know I should be thankful to you for saving my life back then. You can have my body, but bride kidnapping is..."

"What the heck are you even talking about?" Daniel scolded with a sour expression as he rolled out of bed.

It was only then he recalled encountering Renata once back at the Grand International Hotel where she had been chased by someone else.

He couldn't believe that his grandfather would want a lady like her, who had even sold her body to a disgusting old man, to be his wife.

Daniel stomped towards the door and tried to open it but realized that it was locked from the outside.

"Um... Mister. The door is locked from the other side. How about...you leave through the window?" the lady asked from behind.

The lady was shocked by how well-built the man was when she looked at him from behind.

Daniel suddenly turned around and stared intensely at Renata. "There are electric wires over the windows. If I leave through there, I'm going to get electrocuted."
