The mansion of the Martin Family was fully decorated for the special occasion.

A wry smile appeared on Daniel's face. Everyone in the family knew the real intention of this wedding. Word of the crippled eldest son of the Martin Family getting married was nothing more than a ruse.

For the past few days, Daniel had asked Luis to look into the accident that happened three months ago. The one who drugged him was an up-and-coming supermodel who wanted to use Daniel to boost her popularity. Naturally, the model had already been taken care of by Luis in the dark.

However, no matter how hard they investigated, nothing could be found about the woman Daniel slept with.

"Daniel," a familiar voice suddenly called out from behind.

Daniel turned around and saw Lucas in his wheelchair, already changed into an expensive suit. Even though they had almost the same facial features, Lucas had more of a refined and modest look while Daniel was more wild and unruly.

The two brothers were unique in many aspects.

Daniel frowned as he threw the wedding invitation into Lucas's lap. "Did you and grandfather come up with this?"

"Yes and no. Daniel, I know you've never had a girlfriend in your life, but grandfather is getting weaker and weaker every day," Lucas explained. "The wedding today is the only thing we can do to calm grandfather down."

The Martin Family had told the public that the wedding was between the oldest son of their family and the daughter of the Moreno family, but that was actually a plot by the said oldest son and Old Mr. Martin.

"You are an arrogant person, and we know that you aren't interested in women who are after our money and fame. That's why we have no choice but to come up with this plan..." Lucas paused. "But, seeing how the daughter of the Moreno family is willing to marry a cripple like me, she should be a kind lady."

Another reason Lucas agreed to the plan was so that Daniel could have a family of his own and give the Martin Family their next heir.

"Brother, how can you be sure that the daughter of the Moreno family isn't after our money?" Daniel scoffed. "Maybe she agreed to the marriage so that she could get the money and enjoy the fame."

"Impossible! I'm sorry, but you really have to marry this lady."

"To be honest, I already have someone I like," Daniel said suddenly, throwing Lucas off his guard.

Whenever Daniel thought of that night at the hotel, he could clearly recall the sweet aroma from the woman he had slept with. The memory of that softened his expression instantly.

He had promised her that he would take responsibility, that was why he could never agree to this marriage.

Daniel said goodbye to his older brother and was about to leave when his world began to spin.

His expression immediately turned sour. "D-did you drug me?"

"I'm really sorry, Daniel, but this is the only way we can get an heir..." Lucas apologized. He wanted to shoulder the responsibility, but as a cripple, not only in his legs but also in his libido, there was nothing he could do.

Lucas watched as his little brother collapsed before calling in two servants to carry Daniel to the bridal chamber.

He kept apologizing to Daniel silently. He was a little brother that was good at everything but was too soft when it came to family.

Luis had been looking into the matter for months and still got nothing.

It was as if the woman from that night never existed.

On the other hand, Elena was still worried that Renata would take her revenge.

It was by coincidence that she noticed Luis in the hotel lobby. As the senior assistant of the Martin Group, Luis was kind of well known to other people as well.

Elena quickly greeted him. From their conversation, she learned of what happened that night.

Oh my God! The man Renata slept with that night is...

"Ms. Garcia, are you sure you can help us?" Luis asked when Elena offered her help. As the daughter of the Garcia family, there was no denying that she had a lot of connections in Acre City.

That was why Luis decided to share this detail with her.

There was no way Elena was going to let the chance slip by. It was her only way to get close to Daniel, the man of many ladies' dreams.

Elena quickly faked her tears and sobbed, "A-actually, I know who the woman from that night is..."
