Chapter 11

As soon as I finished my monologue, I took my bag and left, ignoring my mother who was trying to stop me.

The moment I left my unit, I gave Kevin a call and asked where he was.

He told me that he was at his office but asked to meet at the cafe right next to the office building.

I hailed a taxi and headed straight to the cafe that Kevin mentioned. I ordered a coffee and did not wait long before the man arrived.

He smiled the moment he saw me and asked, "What brings you to me today?"

My grip around the coffee mug tightened. I replied, "Kevin, did you know that Mollie is pregnant?"

Kevin froze for a second before shaking his head.

"She has been pregnant for a month now. It's clear they've been cheating on us far longer than we've thought. They've played us as if we are monkeys."

The more I said, the more furious I got. I was so pissed off that I almost had trouble holding myself back from wanting to kill Jeremy and Mollie.

Compared to me, Kevin was much calmer when he heard the news.

There were times where I had to admit that I admired his ability to control his emotions. It was as if nothing in the world mattered much to him.

Before Kevin could say anything, I grabbed his hand and said, "Kevin, there's no way I'm letting this slide."

"What do you plan to do?" Kevin raised his head and asked.

"Even if it's a divorce, I'm going to make sure I strip Jeremy from everything he has," I replied with a stern expression.

"Do you have an idea of how you're going to do that?"

I nodded and explained, "I'm going to buy a hidden camera to record them having sex. That'll be proof that Jeremy is cheating on me. I'm going to use that to bring them to court."

As I continued to elaborate on my plan, Kevin listened quietly.

In the end, Kevin was the one who helped buy the cameras for me. From the outside, they looked like amazing decor items placed on the walls of stylish homes. No one would ever expect that there was a camera hidden inside it.

When I returned home, Jeremy had already left for work, leaving my mother there alone. She was sighing uncontrollably.

When she saw me coming back, I could see that she forced herself to smile. "Are you hungry? I'll make something for you."

I stopped my mother by grabbing her hand, telling her that she did not have to worry about it. I also asked where my mother-in-law had gone.

My mother hesitated and finally told me that my mother-in-law had taken Mollie to the hospital to do a pregnancy test.

I simply responded with a grunt and started to hang up the camera that Kevin had prepared for me.

In the end, I placed one in the guestroom that Mollie was staying in and two more in the living room.

After hanging the cameras up, my mother approached me and said, "I'm heading back today. Since that woman is staying in the guestroom, there's no place for me to sleep anymore."

I did not even bother to ask my mother to stay. It was not because there was no place for her to sleep, but because my mother had left a scar in my heart from all the things she did to me in the past few days.

I thought that at the very least, she would be on my side. That she would at least consider my feelings. However, in the end, she betrayed all my expectations.

The most important person to my mother has always been my younger brother, and she also did not want to lose a son-in-law who had a bright future ahead of him.

After helping my mother pack her suitcase, I took her to the train station by cab and returned home.

When I got back, I saw that my mother-in-law had bought a lot of nutritious food suitable for a pregnant woman and was running around in the kitchen.

I sat on the couch, across from where Mollie was sitting, and asked, "How is it? Is my man useful?"

"He's pretty decent," Mollie replied with a smile and pretended that she was subconsciously rubbing her belly.

I was so furious that I almost threw the TV remote control at her.

However, I noticed that my mother-in-law would check in on us from time to time and decided to suppress my anger. "Maybe it's because another woman's man tastes better," I said with a forced smile.

At that moment, I could not help but compare Kevin to Jeremy. In terms of technique, endurance, size, and texture, Kevin was much better than Jeremy in all aspects.
