I already told all of u that in this chapter Anjali's college life's is going to start .

**Anjali arrived just in time for the first day of college. She is a new student. Because she is a new student she does not know- in the college where is the classes, libraries or even the professors staff room. She does not know any place or anything that is in the college.

Today senior students are ready to Rag new students. They again do not Rag all the new students, they picked some of the new students according to their liking for ragging. Anjali was also among the few new students who the seniors picked for ragging.

At first Anjali stood outside the college gate and started looking at the college carefully. The college is very large. It is given a peach colour and Golden border. It's size will be approximately equal to 5 houses like Anjali's house. There are 4 gates around the college for entrance and exit. The gates will be about 20 to 22 feet wide. The medical college was surrounded by 9 feet high wall and inside of the college there is a very large area .

For 5 minutes she was standing outside of the gate and watching all of this. Then when Anjali was entering the college through the gate, she saw that from the gate to inside the college the walkway was paved with tiles . In the rest of the place there are large field of green grass and some places have flower gardens**.

As she was walking towards the college building, some boys and girls on the right side called Anjali to come near them. There is a big tree. Anjali saw that there were 5 to 6 seats made of cement are placed under that big tree. There are 10 to 12 boys and girls students are sitting and in front of them 4 to 5 girls are standing.

The students that are sitting are seniors and the girls who were standing in front of them are the news students.

For ragging the seniors gave cigarettes packets to the girls including Anjali.

The seniors said that ,

"No students will be able to go to their classes until the whole box of cigarettes is finished by them ( **the girls including Anjali ) ."

Anjali held the cigarette in her hand but she did not put the cigarette in her mouth. She through the cigarette down into the field. And seeing that , the senior got angry and got off from their seats . Because of fear of the seniors the other five girls started smoking cigarettes. Some of them could not bear it and set down by coughing.

Without saying a single word to them( the senior students) Anjali started singing national anthem.

Her voice is so beautiful and she sings the song so beautifully that the rest of the girls drop the cigarettes from their hands and also almost all the college students started gathering in that place. Some professors also startled and stood** there.

Then when the national anthem was over, Anjali talk to the professor. She asked the professors where is her class and then go to her class.

Today is the first day of the new students in the college so there was no study, there are five classes in the whole day and in this 5 classes the professors came and got acquainted with everyone.

But as soon as they or the professor saw Anjali in the class, each of the five professors in the class did not ask her name.

Instead they on their own called Anjali by her name and asked her about her family, and they also ask her which school she attended before she was admitted to this college. They also asked her from whom she had learned to sing so beautifully the songs.

But they only just ask the name of the rest of the students.

After the college ends at 4 in afternoon she saw the seniors in the same place again.

But as soon as the seniors saw her ,they lowered their heads .After seeing this she smiled a little and then went out through the gate of the college.

This is how, Anjali's first day of college ended. After a short walk she got on the bus and reached the bus stand which is at the corner of the road in front of her house. Then when Anjali reached her house after a short walk, it was 5 o'clock in the afternoon.She enter through the gate of the house and stood in front of the door. When she went to ring the calling bell her mother open the door and stand in front of her before she can ring the calling bell or doorbell.

Anjali's mother saw Anjali and said to her ,

"I have been waiting for you for a long time."

She also said that ,

" At that time I heard the sound of the gate I understand that you have come back home. "

Her mother asked her anxiously,

"*H**ow was your first day at college and what you did all the day*?"

Anjali hugged her mother and said that,

"Let me enter the house first and then close the door Mum ."

and also said that,

" Let me get a little fresh and then I will sit next to you and tell you all the things that happened to me .

Mum don't get so busy I am very hungry please let me give something to eat first then we will talk about this matter ."

**Then Anjali's mother prepared food for her and sit down in the dining table beside her. Her mother then put fried rice and chili chicken and passed a spoon towards her .Anjali took the spoon in her hand and started to eat and also she is telling her mother all the incident that took place in the college today .

Anjali's mother known that Anjali sings better than her. Her mother is very happy to hear that Anjali has sung songs for everyone in college today.

Then Anjali at home did things as usual she does like tiding up her house ,help her mother with cooking and to study .

She does not like to watch TV but love to listen music. So Anjali has a music box in her room. By that music box she listens to song in her spare time and in it she records some of her mother's song.

Anjali's father returned home from work between 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Then he freshened up and ate dinner with her daughter and wife. After dinner, the three of them go to the rooftop together and spend an hour by talking to each other,by singing and they are having fun. After one hour they came down from the roof and then Anjali go to her own room and her parents went to sleep in their own room.
