Ch 5

She took the pamphlet from her bigger dog’s mouth and petted him for a bit before finishing her dinner and running of to wear her clothes. She quickly changed and then ran to get to her computer but stopped before entering the room. She went to the fridge pretty quickly and got some packed coffee and some straws from the kitchen counter then walked into her room and went ahead to sit on her gaming chair, wore her gaming headset.

She quickly went ahead to play her favourite song then started searching for some references from google and then proceeded to do a rough design of her idea. By the time she finished doing these, she already went ahead with finishing 5 cold coffees with some whipped cream, some chocolate drizzle and some chocolate chips, her favourite and usual which was stocked in the fridge.

“Huh? It’s already 11? I guess it’s bedtime now but let me just check it with my dad before going to bed” she wasted no time in sending a pic of wha5 she has done and explaining as to why she was doing it through a text.

She quickly went to bed but her dogs followed her inside the blankets. “Not again!.....” but just smirked and hugged them to sleep.

Time skip (the next morning)

She went to get some dog food by 6:30 am after putting on her usual no-lace sports shoe, her shorts and a hoodie to go with it. She did notice her bed head but didn’t do much about it. She walked out, picking her wallet on the way and putting her dogs on leash to take them for a morning walk.

“Stop right now! We need to go!” She said while running behind the bigger dog.

‘Now I have to use the ultimate means then’ she thought. “You won’t get any treats if you don’t stop running now!” She shouted, resulting in the running dog to come and get the leash on properly. She smirked and took her dogs out of ther apartment while taking the lift with them.

A red head man suddenly came running towards her shouting “stop! I need to get on too!” Hitoka, panicked, suddenly froze but was still able to put her foot in between to stop the lift from closing.

“Thanks!” He said. The air around them was awkward for exactly a minute before he broke the silence.

“You must be the new neighbor of mine! The one who moved about a month back I guess!” He said. Hitoka was shocked since he was right on the mark. “Are those dogs yours? They look so cute! Can I pet them?” He asked Hitoka with a creepy smile leaning closer to her, his forehead almost touching hers before she put her hands with leash latched onto her hands between them to create some space between them. She succeeded before he again leaned in ask permission to pet her dog for which she nodded.

He was pretty tall and intimidating and looked even more taller and intimidating with his red hair properly styled like that of a porcupine. With his eyes being a little weird and his position being one of the sloppiest when resting, that Hitoka has ever seen.

He was petting her dog while starting a conversation with Hitoka. “You are pretty short you know. So what are you in? Middle school?” He questioned with no ill intentions but the last sentence offended her and she pouted. “Just so you know, I am in my 1st year of high school” she said. His eyes widened with shock and then he started bursting into laughter for a couple of seconds. “So why is a high schooler living alone?” He questioned genuinely concerned about her safety. “Well..... my parents are both oversees working and I don’t have any relatives here. Also I am not really lacking any money so yeah... all of that resulted in this.” She said.

She felt a little comfortable around him in spite of his intimidating look without any doubts about him being a shady gaudy and being so tall. “Mmm....” he replied being deep in thought.

“I saw you first when you moved here when I came to collect some stuffs for my dorm room. But then I did not see anyone else even tho I saw you almost every time I come back home to get some stuffs.” He paused. “Btw. I live right next door to you. So anyways, it’s pretty dangerous you know. For you to be living that’s is”

She just blinked confused in response to his concern and then just smiled brightly. “Ik. Well can’t do anything about it now can I?” She said with a lonely smile. “Well I am going to meet my friend now since I was late for my practice the morning and I am still missing my practice while talking to you. Also my coach is really scary. He’s one hell of a monster even tho he’s old. So not acting his age” he said while getting up whole giving the dogs their last petting then making a weird action.

“I can totally get you. You know.. my coach does the same with me and my team” she said smiling and giving a look of pity to him. “Ah I forgot to ask your name. I am Hitoka, Yachi Hitoka. You can call me Hitoka” she said. “I am Tendō. Satori Tendō. Feel free to call me as you wish.” He said. “Then Tendō-san it is!” She said brightly. He just smiled and then looked up to check which floor they were on.

The door opened soon after and Tendō ran to the entrance shouting “Wakatoshi- kun! Sorry I am late! Ah wait!” He turned to the door of the apartment complex to see Hitoka walking out with her dogs.

“Hitoka- chan see you later!” He waved and she waved back.

He suddenly ran to her. “I forgot to give you this! Call me if you need anything. I will try to help you as much as I can” he said handing out his phone for her to get her phone to exchange contacts between the.

“Ah! Wait a minute please “ she said rushing to grab her phone out of her hoodie’s pocket.

“I will do that for sure! Thank you Tendō san” she said after they exchange contacts.

“Hitoka chan! Feel free to call me if anything’s up k? Also that’s my friend and the team leader Wakatoshi Ushijima” he said pointing at the olive coloured - haired guy.

Wakatoshi, noticing this, nodded and she nodded back before all of them walked their separate ways.

Notes:

I since Tendō lives in a dorm with ushijima, I decided to go ahead with making his place right next to Hitoka’s. It’s interesting uk..... anyways stay tuned for the next chapter.
