Ch 4

The 4 flinched for a second and froze eventually. Though they were not alone as their coach, Ukai Keishin did the same. All others looked in the 4 idiots direction and were quite confused as to why they were frozen. Tsukkishima, gave out a cheeky smirk in between all of this and said “ Ara ara, looks like there is something that even the grand king can’t do”

Kagayama glared at him for a minute but then froze again. Meanwhile Tanaka and Nishinoya started racing out in an attempt to escape reality, in other words their exams. Daichi immediately noticed them and shouted “ Tanaka, Nishinoya there is nowhere to run! Ennoshita, catch them”

Ennoshita skilfully can in front them and successfully blocked the 2 second years from running away.

The chaos was no less with the first years tho. Yamaguchi went to check on Kagayama since he was in the same position for a while then shouted “Kagayama is not breathing!!!”

Daichi yelled once again “Kagayama, breathe! If you want to go to the nationals, clear your exams first! So start studying before that breathe!!!”

Hinata was looking lifeless so Suga went to check on him. “Hinata you will pass and so will the others so don’t worry about it after all you guys did clear the entrance exams right?”

Hinata’s face was bright and he was filled with hope. Then suddenly a lightning- sort- of- question struck him.

“Suga-san! I will be alright right? What counts as a passing mark? Will I get it? Suga- san?”

Suga was stuck by a lightning and also froze. “That is your question now?”

Then chaos finally came to an soon after and Daichi, with full motivation, clapped his hands and said “ there is no way Karasuno can win without these idiots. We will show them that these idiots can pass and go to the training camp!!”

Tanaka, after hearing this, said “ I don’t know if we are getting complimented or insulted. I am speechless” Nishinoya agreeing by his side.

Hinata was shaking Kagayama in an attempt to bring him to start breathing while listening to Daichi.

“Yes we will do our best” said everyone except the 4 idiots.

“Yes! We will go to the training camp” said Hinata. Daichi, gave him a glare.

“And what about the exams?” Daichi interrogated like a typical Asian parent.

Hinata flinched and ran towards the coach.

“Help me study coach!!!” Hinata pleaded.

“Hinata, I don’t really want to say this but......... do I look like someone who is good at studying? Ukai asked with a serious expression.

Hinata received a huge shock. He had to get someone to teach him. Kagayama joined Hinata.

After practice, Hinata and Kagayama came to an agreement somehow ( or the other) and were planning on asking Tsukkishima to tutor and help them prepare for the exam. After changing, they went to the cycle stand to take out Hinata’s bike and were walking side by side with Hinata dragging his bike along with him.

They somehow managed to catch up with Tsukkishima and Yamaguchi in front of Ukai, their coach’s store.

Hinata called out to Tsukkishima and asked him to help him and Kagayama with exam preparations.

Tsukkishima had a evil grin and said “ I need to tutor the king too right? It’s not right for the tangerine to do all the begging is it ‘king of the court’?”

Kagayama was annoyed by the mention of ‘king of the court’ but he had no other option so he muttered something is a very low voice. Tsukkishima who wasn’t able to hear it properly then said “ be a little louder and more respectful if you are begging will you?”

Kagayama was quite annoyed at this point of time but soon he took a deep breath and shouted “ please help me study” while doing a bow which was an approximately 120 degree bend. Tsukkishima and Yamaguchi were taken aback since the ‘once proud king of the court’ is asking them to help him with passing the exams.

The door of the store suddenly opened and the blonde yankee coach of theirs shouted “ it’s night time now. Go home, eat your dinner and sleep! Hinata Kagayama Tsukkishima Yamaguchi!Stop shouting in the middle of the road! Don’t disturb the neighbours !”

Tsukkishima replied with a grunt. “ it was them who shouted not us!” In a quite low voice.

“What was that?” The coach retorted back. “Nothing!” Tsukkishima replied.

Hinata was at least happy that he got someone to coach him through the exam period and help him pass. So, he won’t miss the practice matches between Fukurōdani Academy, Nekoma High, Shinzen High, and Ubugawa High. Especially the Nekoma’s Neko sort of captain with his creepy look pasted all over his face and that smug yet handsome look on his face.

‘we have to utterly destroy him this time!’ Hinata thought frowning. Everyone quickly parted ways and reached their respective homes.

At Hitoka’s place

“Did you guys miss me? Did you? Did you?” She was continuously asking the same question while squeezing her 2 dogs one after the other. Both the dogs were wagging their tail like anything.

She ran inside, took a quick shower and came out with a towel wrapped around her body and a comparatively smaller one around her head.

She fed the dogs first and sat down to have her dinner first before changing out from her towels and taking her dogs out for a walk. She was now deep in thought about what she overheard from the conversation between the teacher and the coach before returning home.

“We don’t have enough funds to take the entire team to Tokyo. I don’t know what we are going to do now.” Takeda said.

Ukai just nodded in response. “ the school is not giving us any more than this for the trip” he said.

“worst case scenario, I will take money from my savings to take them out!” Takeda shouted in a small voice trying his best to stay optimistic.

‘I like the team already and want to help them go’ thought Hitoka.

End of flashback \~

“So what am I going to do now to help them? They were all really good to me” she mumbled.

(By ‘wanting to do something for everyone’ she meant ‘for Shimizu Kiyoko’)

With her thoughts running all over the place one of her dogs suddenly came to her with a pamphlet in its mouth.

Hitoka took the pamphlet and read through it before an idea struck her pretty quickly

Notes: Kagayama was called the king of the court because he was pretty much a huge tyrant during his middle school period. So he hates people calling him that cause he feels that he is belittled by them or insulted by the others calling him that. Sometimes people who hear this nickname thinks that i5 must mean he is that good in volleyball that his opponents gave him that name.
