Ch 3

Hearing the captain call them baldie and shortie, a walking human tangerine popped out and shouted

“Captain, you are so cool even when you are annoyed and upset!!”

Daichi frowned and said “what do you want now Hinata? Nothing right now got it?”

The tangerine pouted and said in a low voice “but captain, I don’t want anything why do you come to such a conclusion this fast?”

Daichi then turned around pointing his finger at the tangerine and a creepy yet a cool and handsome looking guy behind him.

“Oh really? Then why is Kagayama looking so pumped up? Why are you suddenly praising me huh? Explain. You have a minute to so so.”

The tangerine was shook and so was the guy behind him.

“Captain you are so.. creepy. Suga- san help us plwase “ Hinata tried his best to act cute and make Suga agree and convince Daichi.

Suga just giggled. “Now now, let’s stop now shall we?”

Hinata stood up straight and shouted “yes sir!” saluting at Suga.

Hitoka who was watching at the not so scary group as they were trying to cute but all in all we’re just being playful was just giving out a small giggle unknowingly.

Daichi then interrupted them and continued what he was doing.

“That guy is Hinata and the guy behind him is Kagayama” he said continuing “the tall blonde over there is Tsukkishima Kei and the guy beside him is Yamaguchi Tadashi”

All the 4 first years bowed and greeted her. She was a bit overwhelmed but she greeted them back by bowing.

He then started introducing the substitute players one by one.

“This is Ennoshita Chikara and the other one is Kazuhiro Narita....” he paused for a second searching for someone.

“Ah! Found him! This is Kinnoshita”

They all smiled and greeted her politely. She did the same.

‘The last 3 guys were neither too intimidating nor too..um... not so intimidating... just like Suga sempai’ Hitoka thought.

Hitoka helped out with the practice by collecting balls and refilling the water bottles and handing out the towels for half an hour or so. Since she didn’t tell her neighbors about the club she had to rush home since her phone was also out of charge and she doesn’t know her neighbors numbers by heart.

She went to Kiyoko and excused herself to go home. While walking she was wandering some stuffs and suddenly stopped.

“I stood next to Kiyoko sempai for a long time! I would have looked like some kind of ugly thing next to her right?” She stopped breaking down into cold sweat.

“I won’t be killed by her fans right?” She shrieked internally then suddenly started walking consciously like a thief trying not to get caught.

“What are you doing?” A voice coming from behind her asked her. She slowly turned her head and started sweating profusely and she srieked a bit with her voice not coming out.

‘He’s a fan of Kiyoko-sempai! He must be here to kill me!,!’

“Please don’t kill me!!!” She yelled while running away.

The yankee- like blonde was left confused. “Why would I kill you?” He mumbled

“Ah coach you are here” came a voice from behind the yankee- like blonde. It was Yamaguchi. “Oi Yamaguchi, what are you doing instead of practising huh?” He yelled. Yamaguchi flinched and answered slowly but steadily and said “the captain paused the practice for a bit to introduce our manager in training and our potential manager next year.”

“That smol girl is ur potential manager next year?” He asked by using quite a bit of a delinquent sort of speech.

“Ah it seems that you have already met her! That small girl with blonde hair and big (well not so big) round brown eyes is Yachi Hitoka! She’s a first year and will be joining the practice from tomorrow onwards” he wrapped up excitedly.

The coach was a bit spooked out by the way Yamaguchi was talking. He thought

‘she did not have any big round eyes, if anything those eyes added to her manly aura. If she cross dresses, people would believe that she’s a guy for sure. But the thing is... it looks like she already made a guy have a crush on her with just meeting with her for a couple of minutes! God! Save Yamaguchi! Don’t let this end as an unrequited love. He better not get distracted tho cuz if he does, I am gonna kick him real bad.’ with a serious expression on his face.

He sighed a bit before muttering “ young, teen love. Hope it succeeds “

Yamaguchi blushed a little on hearing this.

They went inside to continue the practice and before they could the coach, the captain and vice captain had a lot of work to do. Such as separating the human tangerine, Hinata, from the setter Kagayama and separating the short hot stuffs, Nishinoya from clinging onto Tsukkishima and hitting him.

After the practice ended the teacher came inside to have a little meeting regarding the Tokyo camp with other schools (Fukurōdani Academy, Nekoma High, Shinzen High, and Ubugawa High).

“ we will be having our training camp with other schools this time. You all should be thankful that coach Nekomata (Nekoma’s coach) spoke with other coaches to let us join them. It would be a very helpful one” he paused a bit and continued on “you guys have training camp but before that is your annual exams. If you don’t pass in that, you will have to take supplementary classes and you won’t be able to attend the trading camp. You know that, don’t you?”

The background inspirational music, the imagination of the players suddenly stopped when the teacher looked at a certain 4-person group. She all froze by the mention of the annual exam.

“You know that don’t you?” He again said staring at Hinata, Kagayama, Tanaka and Nishinoya. The coach, who was sitting beside the teacher also froze, just like the group of 4.
