The purple bandana

Jolien and I went straight to the playground after our adventure; we used to play there when we were in in our first middle school year yet we come here every now and then with Macy.

"Sapphire... sapphire!" Jolien shouted as if I am not sitting right next to here.

"What?!"

"You seem unusually silent, what happened?"

"I-I don't know I am just a bit light headed"

"Why? Did Adrien the psycho get inside?" She asked with a grin.

"No! I was just feeling that there's something about him that is different but I don't know what"

"Just like you girl you both are so intimidating"

"Hey I am not!"

"You are remember the first day me and Macy met you?"

Then both of us looked at Jolien's arm that had a little dark scare that both of us know very well.

"You didn't want to even smile at me or macy no matter how much we tried" Jolien laughed.

"That's because you were so annoying"

"Yet, when SHE came to bully us you stood up for us, why though?"

"Cause she bullied literally everyone but it was the first time she used physical attacking"

"Ha and you did the same the moment she scared my hand and broke Macy's old glasses you acted like a soldier in a battlefield"

"Yeah it was kinda fun"

"Until she cried and got YOU to go to the principal office"

"Yeah middle school wasn't the best years of my life"

"But at least we became friends thanks to her"

"Yeah... it's literally the only good impact she ever got on us" I laughed but still with a sad sigh.

"Anyway we need to go home now, it's getting late" Jolien said.

We started to walk back to our houses she didn't live near me but we walk in the same road for about 3 blocks.

"After all that happened do you think this will be the last time we meet him?" Jolien asked.

"I think so in the end you didn't give a first impression that gets him to invite us to have dinner together" I said laughing half joking feeling a bit disappointed and at the same time lucky.

"Anyway see you tomorrow in school, girl don't forget that we have to tell Macy everything or she will cry like a baby as usual" Jolien said squeezing me a bear hug even though she knows how I hate hugs, and she left taking the road that leads to her house in the south side of numbsville.

When I reached my house I wanted to go straight to my room that's when mom stopped me "honey, aren't you having dinner tonight?" My mom asked with a caring smile.

"No mom I am not hungry"

"There's no such a thing like not hungry in the dinner time missy, besides we barely see you"

"Fine!"

We went to the dinning table that looks nothing different then the way it was when I was a toddler the same colours stains that mom left after drewing on the table even though she always scolded me when ever I put anything but food on it.

As we sat down my mom shouted in her usual energetic voice "boys food is on the table!"

"One minute darling I am almost beating him!" My father said as he try to win over B.B.W like every night in some video game.

After few seconds dad came to the dinning table with a big grumpy face that clearly shows that he is a sore loser like every single night.

"Jeff won again?" mom asked with a grin on her face.

"I taught him very well" my dad said defending.

B.B.W came right after him "someone just got destroyed!"

"No, I let you take the good controller" my dad said.

"What ever you say grandpa" B.B.W said

Like father like son both of them are sore but one is a sore loser and the other is a sore winner.

"Boys no talking about battles on the dining table" my mom said as the four of us sat down my mom hat me with "so sapphi how was your day?"

"Like every day"I answered

"Really no new friends, no funny moments no nothing?"

I knew if I told her about my day I won't get up from this table even after eating the whole thing plus the plate ”yeah nothing especial"

"Okay... what about you Jeffrey?" mom asked as she tried to get us to interact more.

"Today was great until a creepy old woman came to shop, I thought she would steal anything but turned out she just came to buy a pair of gloves" B.B.W said as if it's okay to judge people.

It felt annoying hearing about all this.

"I am full I am going to my room" I said as I stood up.

"But honey you barley touched your food" my mom said.

"I am not that hungry, goodnight" I said and gone upstairs and towards the door that has a sign written in black "I am already disturbed just come in".

Finally my comfort zone

I opened the first drawer and took out a muffin to eat then I layed down on my bed trying to get all today's Events filtered, usually after I lay down I look out of the window to see my friend the moon.

And I noticed that the moment I looked something was blocking the view; I raised up and looked and saw something got me to wonder if my eyes are deceiving me.

It was a familiar purple bandana folded in shape of a bat.

I opened my window fast and tried to catch it before the wind take it away.

"Is this some weird coincidence?" I wondered out loud.

I unfolded the bandana and found a piece of paper inside.

"I guess it's not a coincidence after all"

And in the paper in an elegant handwriting I found:

"I can't believe the boldness that he got, looks like the first impression was enough to get me invited to have dinner with him after all".

Suddenly I heard knocks on the door "sapph, who are you talking to" my dad said from the other side of my room's door

"Oh-uh it's macy on the phone" I lied

Then my dad came in as I hided the bandana and the Letter behind my back and held my mobile really fast "well then Enough with the phone girly girl you can talk to her in the school tomorrow, now put your phone away before I take it!"

"Yes dad" I said annoyed cause it's obvious that mom is the one who told him to come say this

And as he went out he came back real quick and whispered "and tell macy I say hi, such a good girl she is"

Well now that is dad that I know and still hate.

"I will" and said as I tried to get him to leave my room and locked the door immediately.

That's when Macy called for real and I thank God cause if she called one second earlier I would have been in a really big trouble for lying.
