I went back to my old place in a taxi. It was still raining. When I got out of the car, I looked around to see whether Emilie's car was there.

Luckily, it wasn't there and I hadn't given back the key to Emilie yet. I thought, "D-George will only stay for one night. If Emilie doesn't come home tonight, problems can be well solved even without being noticed."

I ran back to the place and put my stuff back into the room. Then I made the bed. After everything was settled, I ran to the bus station to welcome D-George.

I stood there for 15 minutes before the bus came over. Then I saw D-George getting off with a briefcase.

I waved at him and shouted, "D-George, over here."

D-George came over in surprise and said, "I thought you were having dinner with your co-workers."

"It's no biggie, but you are. I know the trade-off here." I then took over his briefcase.

D-George didn't say anything. We then walked to the estate.

I said, "D-George, can't you just take a taxi here? Your company will pay the bill."

"No matter who's paying, we don't need to spend unnecessary money." D-George sounded serious.

"They have billions of dollars in the company. You don't need to worry about your taxi bill."

D-George didn't say anything, because he had zero interest in arguing with me when it came to the matter of values. D-George did what he thought was right and didn't want to explain as if he lived in a cloistered world.

...

When we got back to the place, D-George took about a lunch box from his bag. "I went fishing and your mom grilled the fish for you. Heat it when you want to eat it. Or maybe you don't need to heat it."

"Let's eat it tonight."

D-George looked at me with confusion. "I thought you just had dinner with your co-workers."

"But you are here. I left halfway." Then I went on, "D-George, have you brought wine mom made?"

D-George nodded and took out a bottle of wine. The bottle was for orange juice before it contained wine.

D-George and I each drank a glass of wine. We also had grilled fish, pasta, and some peanuts as we chatted.

I was a little absent-minded. I was afraid that Emilie would suddenly come back. It wouldn't bother me if Emilie got scared, but I would be screwed if D-George found out I was lying.

I heard footsteps as I drank the wine. Then I heard the sound of a key unlocking the door. I was a bit nervous. I glanced at the door and then at D-George.

The door opened. It was Emilie who was dumbfounded by what she had seen. Yet D-George seemed quite calm. D-George only saw her as my roommate or my girlfriend.

Before Emilie said anything, I held her arm and asked with concerns, "Are you drunk? Let me help you get back to your room. Don't be a stranger to me. We are roommates after all."

I said so, yet I covered her mouth in a way D-George wouldn't notice. I pushed her into her room as fast as I could.

"You bastard! Let go of me!" Emilie protested in a mumble.

"Shut up!" I whispered.

Emilie took her phone out. Anyone could tell she was calling the police. I did commit a crime.

I snatched her phone and pushed her against her bed. I rode on her in case she went on struggling. I didn't care how rude I was being.

I lowered my voice and said nervously, "Stop yelling. I would be screwed if my dad heard you."

Emilie ignored me. She looked so scared that she grabbed my hair hard.

I was in great pain, yet I had to hold it to myself. "Easy! You are pulling off my hair!"

"Bastard!" Emilie shouted.

I said angrily, "I am a bastard."

I then lowered my voice, "But not to my dad. My dad has high blood pressure. If he knows I'm both penniless and homeless, he will faint. Please, have some mercy on me. Just one night. He's on a business trip. He will leave tomorrow morning. I promise that I will never bother you anymore."

Emilie stopped struggling and let go of my hair. But she was still staring at me with her gorgeous eyes.

I moved my hands away. Emilie didn't yell again.

I was so relieved. And I just realized that I was still on top of Emilie. When I was about to stand up and apologize, Emilie twisted her body and pushed me off. I fell to the floor.
