Fidgeting his fingers in nervousness, the young omega obediently followed the man.

If it wasn't for that nurse who mentioned this man was an alpha, Li Haoyu wouldn't have realized it up until now. There's just no scent of pheromone coming from this man at all.

a noble one who could hide his scent completely.

The alpha dropped a casual glance at me. Under his cold eyes, I could only lower my head and uttered a word.

"Sorry"

Yeah.... I could finally say short words or phrases like 'sorry' at least, thanks to all the treatment this alpha had been arranging for me.

It's been almost a week since I'm here. My days here were pretty boring with no one to talk to except for the nurse.

So I asked her for some books to read. Unexpectedly, she told me that there's an old library in this mansion which her alpha young master didn't use anymore and that it should be okay for me to pick up some books there.

After leaving me in the library, the nurse didn't come back any time soon. The night was getting darker. And, since I felt scared to stay in such a deserted room alone, I decided to go back to my room by myself. Albeit unfortunately, I only ended up losing my way there.

But, now that I finally got to see this alpha, I guess it's all worth after all. This should be a blessing in disguise.

In fact, as my injuries have already recovered, I'm already considering about leaving since yesterday.

But, before I leave, I still wanna say some words of thanks to this alpha.

To show my gratitude was not the only reason  I wanted to see him. I just have so many questions to ask him..... like how did he save me? What happened to those kidnappers? Did they escape? And what about......my father's corpse...

But, right now, I'm not sure if I should even ask those questions anymore. This alpha didn't seem like he would even bother to answer at all. It's unbelievable how such a cold alpha bothered to save me though.

"Don't let it happen again. "

The old nurse apologized again and again. This made me wonder if I should also follow her actions and apologize as well.

At that moment, the alpha turned around to leave. Almost immediately, I reached out to grab the corner of his coat with my right hand.

The alpha's cold eyes landed on me.

I took out a pen, quickly wrote some words down on a small note book and showed it to the alpha.

[ Can I talk with you for a moment? ]

He didn't respond immediately that I almost thought he was going to reject me. But then, he said those words.

"Have you already had dinner? "
