Chapter Two Part Two

|| Pov: Marcus ||

'Who was that girl this morning... her aura was... sad, and broken. His words of what he said about her keep replaying in my thoughts...', I thought leaning back on the couch.

I sighed and looked around amazed at how spotless the place was. I glanced around looking for Alpha Aidan but he was nowhere to be seen.

'Hmm... might as well explore until he gets back from where ever he may be...', I thought as I stood up, and put my hands in my pants pocket.

I walk around the house, getting bored a bit. I start for the door while lost in thought not paying any attention when I feel something bump into me and fall back with a thump.

"Hm..?", I glance down seeing it was that girl from earlier... only she had changed. I give a hushed smile and kneel down holding out my hand.

"Hey.. are you alright? Sorry, I was lost in thought and didn't see you walking. Heh\~." I looked into her Beautiful blue eyes feeling like I've seen them somewhere.

She stared at me, completely dazed like she was confused as to why I was speaking to her.

Her bottom lip quivered a little, and I noticed her look down fast and bite her lip to stop it.

She bared her neck to me and got up, quickly walking out the door. I wanted to follow her but I didn't because I heard Alpha Aidan's voice coming from the hall. I stood up and looked behind me, my eyes meeting his. Their eyes looked exactly the same.

'...Hm... I have a bad feeling.. and its usually a sign...', I thought as my brows frowned looking back towards the door after looking at him.

"Alpha Aidan, I am going out to get fresh air if thats alright. Ill be back soon for us to continue our little conversation of why I came here.", I say looking back at him with a stern look.

He looked at me with a long pause before replying.

"Alright, I have to make a trip down to my office, so I may be back around seven. Its urgent news from my company, and my Beta is having troubles settling an argument.", he replied grabbing his coat and exiting the house,  getting into a black car.

I watched the car until I no longer could see it, before making my way out of the door. I looked around trying to find the girl.

"I wonder why she didn't respond to me... she looked scared...", I mumbled to myself as I looked around spotting a trail.

"Hm...", I shrugged and started walking down towards the trail.

I walked down the trail admiring the lovely nature around. I noticed flowers were on the sides of the trail, that weren't natural to grow there.

"Strange... were they planted...", I kneeled down lifting one of the lovely flowers and taking in its luxurious scent.

As I admired the scent of the flower, I noticed something else that caught my eye. The girl was by the trail planting some beautiful roses, and she had such an innocent look on her face, that it made me smile without noticing.

I stood up and slowly walked over to her and leaning down next to her ear.

"Such a beautiful sight for this trail, hm..?", I smiled as she quickly looked me in the eyes startled.

She stared at me confused and shocked at the same time, she couldn't keep her eye contact and from her body language I could tell she was slightly scared.

"Ah... sorry if I scared you miss...", I slightly leaned closer getting a better look into her eyes.

'I knew it... she has his eyes, but... why did he say such horrible things about his own daughter.', I thought, getting a sickening feeling in my gut towards him.

She quickly moved her hand away from the rose bush, a thorn catching her hand and making a small cut on her finger.

I seen her wince in pain but no words, or sounds came from her mouth. I started to think and one thing popped into my head.

"Are... you a mute...?", I asked her head turning away fast and drooping. 'I knew it... but why is she a mute.. I wonder..', I thought.

Her finger started bleeding, and the scent of her blood caught me off guard from how it smelled so sweet.

I turned her to face me, grabbing her wrist with the cut, and licking the blood off. The warmth from her hand gave me a sense if happiness but I wasn't too sure.

"Hey... don't let it get dirty, lets go put a bandaid on it to keep it from bleeding.", I said, staring into her eyes with a reassuring smile.

Her soft looking cheeks had grown a small blush on them and she bit her lip and looked away. I smiled and swiftly picked her up from the ground and carrying her back up towards the pack house.

Once we got up to the pack house I set her on a stool in the kitchen and went to search for the med-kit.

'Her taste... was... fascinating wasn't it Marcus..', my wolf said.

'Yes... it was... the smell was so.. alluring I thought I was going to do something a little... erm.. never mind..', I replied to him.

'I want to get a little closer to her, try and understand who she is. I feel like... I could grow a bond with her.', I smile finding the med-kit, and looking into a mirror, seeing my wolf in my reflection.

'Yes, it would be nice to have some company while our stay Marcus.', my wolf replied before my reflection went to myself.

I headed back to her in the kitchen and kneeled down holding my hand out. She hesitated before handing me her hand with the cut. I cleaned it off and put the bandaid on it, I could feel my heart slightly beating faster.

'What is this feeling in my chest...', I looked up at her meeting her eyes, her cheeks were a soft rosy pink.

My heart beat picked up a bit, I wanted to inch closer, but I stopped myself.

She pulled her hand away, and looked at the floor gripping her jeans a bit. I grit my teeth, I wanted to know why she was a little afraid.

I stood up and cleared my throat a bit, and she glanced up.

"Im a little tired, could you show me to the guest room so I can lie down until your father arrives home..?", I looked at her to watch her reaction.

Her body trembled from me mentioning him. She gulped and got up and started walking to the stairs showing me to the guest room. I could tell something was wrong from her reaction to me mentioning him.

She opened a door and held out her arm and bared her neck with head down. I was hesitant on entering, and leaving it like this but I went inside and sat on the bed. She closed the door and I heard her footsteps fading down the stairs.

Soon I heard the front door opening then close and everything went quiet.

"I knew something was off, the mention of her father made her tremble.. I need to know why she is so afraid of him.", I sighed and laid on the bed and stared at my hand..
