When Your Best Friend Introduces You To Her Brothers Best Friend
You were waken up by the sound of sentimental sobs. You quickly knew it was your best friend and roommate of 2 years, Sulji. You jumped out of bed shivering from the cold room and threw on your slippers. As you made your way to Sulji’s room the sobs got louder. You knocked. “Sulji? Can I come in?” You continued to knock but there was no answer. You opened the door to see your best friend at the end of her bed with her face tucked in her knees. “What happened? Talk to me love” You sympathize with her. She lifts her face and looks at you. Her puffy, red soaked face catches your eye. “My- my-“ she stammers and starts sobbing again. You come close to her and put your arms around her caressing her soft hair. She puts her arm on top of yours and manages to catch her breath. “My mom pa-passed away earlier this morning” She rests her head on your shoulder and continues to speak. “My dad said he got up to use the bathroom and when he came back he noticed she wasn’t breathing” “I’m so sorry” You hug her tighter.
“What am I gonna do” She says letting silent tears roll down her inflamed cheeks. As you continued to hold her in your warm embrace you rack back and forth trying to comfort her the best way you knew how.

Your sitting on the sofa next your mourning friend “hey love, what time to we have to be out of here” she lifts up her head and you grab her soft, warm hand. “Funeral starts at 9:00 then the after that is the reception, but you don’t have to go” You look at her in the eyes in awe kinda sad by the fact she thought you might not even go. “Sulji, you are my best friend and I love you, no one deserves to go through something like this alone.” She softly hugs you and says “thank you y/n you don’t know how much that means to me”
You guys made it to the funeral. Stepping out of the car the cold morning wind hit you so hard it gave you chills. You wondered why the sky was so gloomy on
the day of the funeral. Why the one day that was picked couldn’t have any sun? Sulji grabs your hand tightly and you look at her with kind eyes. “Are you ready?” You ask being there as a hand to hold through her grieving “yes” with that you guys made your way in, upon your arrival the service room had gotten significantly more quiet. You guys made your way down the aisle to the front of the room to see Suljis mom with her delicately made up face, she looked so peaceful. It gave you and Sulji as well a piece of mind that she didn’t have a painful death. Sulji looked at you indicating that she want time and that you could walk away. You walked away to see a familiar face; Joon, Sulji’s older brother. He always had a special place in your heart. Joon was like a brother to you as well, always sticking up for you, helping with your collage assignments, he would even grocery shop for you and Sulji at times. You walk up to him and greet him “hey I’m so sorry for your loss” while hugging him you whisper “I know it’s hard. It’s okay to cry, don’t hold it in, I’m always here for you” Joon had not forgotten the fact that you had recently lost you grandmother to old age. “Thank you…it was just really unexpected” he replied stifling his tears. All of the sudden a drop dead handsome man walks up to Joon. “Hey man sorry I’m late, I’m sorry about your mom” The mysterious man puts a caring hand on Joon’s shoulder. Joon looks at you “right, I don’t believe you guys have met. Y/n this is Seokjin, Seokjin, Y/n” He introduces you guys to each other and you take your seats in the service room. Time skip\~
The service ends at 12:00 and everyone heads to the building where the reception is being held. You and Sulji make your plates then sit down next to Joon and Seokjin. Since everyone left the service the tension between everyone had almost completely died down. Everyone was chill, laughing, eating, and having a good time in their mother’s memory. Sulji shoves a piece of bread in her mouth, without
finishing she starts to speak “oh- Seokjin
and- mmm” she starts chewing again choking on her words. You laugh “don’t talk with your mouth full” you playfully say. She swallows her food “oh please, everyone here is family, no one cares” she lets out and obnoxious laugh catching the attention of some guests. “Anyways let me finish…. Seokjin and Y/n haven’t met yet right? You know he’s single” Sulji looks at you and raises a devilish eyebrow. “ooOoOh Y/n and Seokjin sitting in a tree, K I S S I N G” Joon continues to sing but gets cut off by a rough tap on the shoulder by Seokjin. “Do you always do this with strangers?” Seokjin was the sarcastic type of person, always joking around and having a good time.
