Chapter 4

Sarah has been drawing for hours now and finally she had the sketch half done

"Great! only the shading and coloring left....I'll do those after a while....I'll go read some manga now ig"

Sarah went to read some manga, and checked for new messages while she was at it

...hmm....he didn't text yet...

A few hours later, she's completed sketching and goes to sleep. In the morning after Sarah wakes up, she checks for new texts, only to find none

......Why don't I ever get texts from people....even if they day they're my friends they never text me.........

She picks up her sketchbook and starts to shade the drawing. Since Sarah does not own a wide variety of colored pencils so she usually just shades with a 2B lead pencil and colors on top of it. After shading, Sarah noticed that the hair of the character which she was drawing at the moment looked quite off.

"f*** his hairline....should be more to the right...WHY DO I NEVER NOTICE THIS STUFF WHEN I CAN STILL FIX IT? WHY DO I ALWAYS NOTICE THE MISTAKES AFTER ITS TOO LATE TO FIX THEM?" Sarah burst out. She was tremendously pissed off at herself.

...F***ing useless. Stupid. Idiot. F***ing dumb. Well it's not like you can erase everything now, better to just do whatever you can to salvage it and make it look s lil bit more presentable....

She continued shading his hair, tinkering with the places she would have needed to shade. Eventually she completed shading and took out her pencil colors to try and match the colors. After spending about 15 minutes in picking out the right shades of yellow, brown and any other colors she might need, she set to work again. While coloring in her drawing, thoughts of Mark kept popping in her head. She was wondering what he was up to and if he was doing ok.

...Well since I've completed the drawing….let me show it to Mark!...

Sarah goes online and sends the pic of her recently finished artwork to Mark.

"Mark!! I want to show you something!" Sarah exclaimed.

Sarah proceeds to send a picture of her drawing to Mark.

"Aww, it's nice. I'm proud of you."

"The hairline should be a bit more to the left tho 🤧"

"I'm still happy with you, you did well. You'll improve slowly. You know your flaws."

"I really messed up his hair tho....but it's still better than when the whole face would be ruined."

"cheer up na baccha", Mark says while patting Sarah's head virtually.

"...btw what's your name? Is your actual name Mark too or is that just a username?"

"You can call me Mark. What's your real name?"

"Sarah, it's the same as my username."

"I'll call you Sara....if you don't mind"

"Okie! I'll call you Mark", Sarah said with her heart fluttering. It was the first time anyone had ever given her a nickname so she was exceptionally happy.

"My Saraaaaaaa!" Mark replied being full of excitement, "btw did you think we will ever be friends?"

"Not really…." Sarah replied hesitantly, she had suddenly been reminded of the way their first meeting went.

"Why?", Mark asked while laughing.

"Well you were very rude." Sarah said, full of insecurities.

"I still am," Mark told her proudly.

...Is that really something to be proud of….?...

"....not as much as before tho"

"It's just that, I don't know why, I started caring about you. I don't even know why I care about such a dumb brat. Such a cry baby".

...He's being mean again….but it's nice knowing that he cares....

"Aww that's nice to know, I'll take those as compliments", she was grateful for the care she was receiving.

"Don't aww me," Mark said upbraidingly, "or else I'll spank you"

...S-spank…he's saying it for the second time…aren't we supposed to be just friends?...
