EP - 05. WILL SHE GO THERE ALL ALONE

...Want me to go..

After hearing the question, Ms Judy became nervous.... but after some seconds of silence she answered to Jia,

"Yes of course, sweetie. I want you to go. I really want yo-

"Umm and if I'll ask you, WHY do you want me to go or .... WHY are you letting me go,then ..."?? Jia suddenly asked another question with a blank face without letting her mother complete her sentence.....

Ms Judy was stunned by Jia's sudden questions.......

"Jia, why are you asking me these stupid questions??OK forget it. I was about to tell you something"!! ........ Ms Judy changed the topic as fast as possible, as if she didn't want to hear any more questions and also as if she didn't want to answer anything else......

She didn't even look at Jia, not even once. She was not able to look up at her. This whole scene was like as if Ms Judy was caught red handed while attempting a crime........ and then, Ms Judy just continued to say,

"Umm I was saying, that your.....school principal called me today. He was saying that the students who are selected for the scholarship from our town will be going to 'M' state this Friday. So, we don't have much time. We need to pack your bags ummmmmmmm OUR bags. I will come with you"!!

After hearing that her mother would also go with her, Jia just looked at her and said, "OK" ...... and there was no other reaction from her side.........

Ms Judy was clearly not very satisfied with that reaction of her daughter........ but just kept sitting on the chair..

"OK mum. I am sleepy. I think I will directly sleep now. Good night, mum". Jia said while going to her room......

"Jia".... Ms Judy wanted to call her daughter loudly but was not able to do it but just watched her daughter going inside her room and closing the door......

Inside her bedroom, Jia was lying on her bed thinking about the questions she asked her mother before. Then she realized that they have to leave for M state on Friday which she almost ignored before......

"I think....................I don't want to go now"....... Jia said slowly, but then she remembered about her dreams and goals which she wanted to achieve at any cost. She thought that if she'll not sleep now, she will think these wrong thoughts the whole night. Then she covered herself with blanket and slept.......

On the other side, Her mother was in her room after doing the dishes. She was also not able to sleep. She was thinking about Jia and her weird questions that were definitely suspicious for her....

After some minutes of being up, she also drifted off to sleep......

In the morning, Jia and her mother woke up and as the situation was already awkward from last night so, both of them tried to talk normally with each other as if nothing happened. After having their breakfast, both of them went for work and school.......

The walk was full of silence making the situation awkward again. So, Ms Judy started talking first.

"Jia look, I guess that's a new cafe. We'll go there today or maybe tomorrow", Ms Judy said while pointing towards that cafe.....

"Umm. No, mum. I think this cafe is here since 3 months now but yeah, we can go there", Jia said while correcting her mother.....

"Oh OK, I thought it was new.Umhm I think I never noticed it before" , Ms Judy said while slightly smiling at Jia ...... And then, both of them started talking after that, the way they used to talk......

After reaching to school, Jia went inside her classroom and saw no-one there. So she went outside and heard some noises from the school library........

"Umm, Is there someone inside"? Jia asked while knocking at the door......

And then, the students of her class came out of the library. Era and Shaun were there too....

"Oh!! What's going on guys"? Jia asked Era and Shaun.

"Yeah, nothing much Jia. We got a science project and we were discussing about it here. God! So much work we have "!!!!! Era replied while putting her fingers on her temple......

"But, no-one told me about any project"!! Jia said .

"Oh that, Jia actually you are about to leave this school and if the teacher had told you to join the project and maybe after leaving ....... Umm your project might not be completed. So, that's why teacher didn't tell you to join the project"!!! Era replied while walking towards their classroom..

"Hmm OK, no problem".. Jia said ......

In the Ms Judy office, she was sitting on her desk, doing some file work. Then,

"Ms Judy, boss is calling you so, are you free right now"?? A peon asked her..

"Oh yeah sure, I am coming. Wait a minute"..... Ms Judy replied to the peon... Then the peon left.

After doing her work, Ms Judy went to the boss's cabin.

"Sir, you called me"?

"Yes,Judy please come inside".. the boss replied.

After Ms Judy sat down on the chair, her boss continued to speak,

"So, I won't waste your time. I know that you requested for 1 week off earlier. But, Mrs. Eugenie came across an accident yesterday and is very badly injured. So, I gave her 1 month off from work which is too much for this office and Mr. Williams also went to his hometown for some days for his sister's marriage. So, I am sorry but we can't grant you any off days now..... As the burden of work is too much. So, I want you and Mr. Lynn to work in pair from now on"!!

"But, sir. My daughter is leaving for M state the day after tomorrow and she is only 15 yrs old. How will she go there all alone, I need to go with her"!! Ms Judy replied to her boss...

"I am sorry Judy but the higher authorities are not allowing us to give anybody else any off days. So I cannot do anything now, I am sorry"... the boss apologized.....

Then, Ms Judy requested for just 1 day off,

"Sir, At least you can give me an off day tomorrow, only tomorrow sir, please"!!

Then, her boss thought that only 1 day will not affect them. So, he granted her 1 day off...

After coming home from work, Ms Judy saw Jia walking out of her room. So, she went to her and asked her that there is no need to go to school tomorrow...Jia asked why. To that, Ms Judy said she'll tell her while having dinner.....
