EP - 04. I AM FEELING TIRED

...Enjoy the night out..

The next day, at school....Jia's mother also went with her. At principal's office, both of them were waiting outside sitting on a bench as there was a meeting going on inside. After the meeting ended, the principal called them inside.....

"Good morning, sir"!, Jia and her mum wished the principal .....

And Ms Judy continued to say,

"Sir, Thank you very much for selecting my daughter for the Scholarship. This means a lot for us. We are really very thankful for this"!!, while joining both her hands.

"Oh ,no no ma'am, your daughter deserves this, that's why we gave this opportunity to her. Well, that means, you granted her the permission to go to that school. That's a good decision, I must say"!!, Principal said while sitting on this chair.

"Why are you both standing, please sit down".. said the principal while pointing towards the couch..

Both the mother and the daughter sat down and the principal offered them a glass of water. They had a little conversation about the school where Jia will be going. Like, That school have 2 dormitories ,one for girls and the other for boys and Jia will stay there with the other girls and the dorm have about 3 laundry rooms and the other important things like clean bathrooms and washrooms. The canteen will provide clean and hygienic food to students. The principal showed them some pictures of the school. Both Jia and Ms Judy were impressed by that.

After discussing about the school with the principal, both of them left. Jia went inside her classroom and Ms Judy went to her office...

"Hey, Jia!! You look happy today, so that means your mother is letting you go to that school"?? Shaun asked while expecting a good answer from Jia.....

"Yess, mum said that I can go. 'It doesn't matter' , she said...... I am really veryyyy happy"!!!!!!! Jia said while sitting down on her bench....

"Look, I told you, her mother would say yes"!!! Era did while raising her eyebrows....

"Yeah yeah, So Jia, if you are not busy today evening. I was thinking about going out and enjoy because after some days, you will go and we will be left alone"!?!? Shaun said while looking at Jia.

"Of course, we can go out today but what about the library"?? Jia asked while looking a little bit puzzled......

"Oh God, Jia!! Can you stop worrying about the library. And uh, we already took permission from the librarian for all of us so, don't think about it now"!! Era said while playfully backhugging Jia........

"What!! But how did you guys convinced him. I think I have already taken so many days off in the past few days"??!! Asked Jia and her expression was full of questions......

Then ,Shaun said, "Oh no Jia, You didn't. Even the librarian got ready to give you a day off but when we asked the same for us, it took , like 15 minutes for us to convince him for that, hehe"!! And it was clear that Shaun was trying to make Jia feel comfortable.

"OK, no problem then. We can go out today but where will we go. Did you guys select a good spot"?? asked Jia...

"Well yes, we have selected a good spot. We will go to the amusement park"!! Era said while smiling widely.....

"Oh wooooow!!!!!!! That will be great. We'll have fun"!!! Jia said while she clapped her hands once..

At Ms Judy's office, She was at the cafeteria ordering coffee. Neena was also there waiting for the coffee while sitting on the bench. After Judy came back, Both started talking while drinking their coffee. And Judy told her about Jia's scholarship and that Jia will be going to other school for which she has to leave this state.

"Oh!! That's good to know. Well, Jia is actually a deserving child"!! Neena said while sipping her coffee.....

"hmm, I think I will take 1 week off from work and go with Jia till she mixes up with the other students there. After 1 week, I'll come back"!! Judy said while looking a bit tensed......

"Oh Judy, Don't worry! Jia is very intelligent, she knows how to take care of herself. So, don't think about it too much"!! Neena assured Judy while patting Judy's back......

"Yes you are right, but we live in a small town and suddenly Jia will go to some strange place. And you know that higher class children and how they behave"!! Judy said and she was sounding very tensed.....

"No Judy, it's your misunderstanding. I mean yes, at some limit you are right but not all high class people behave that way"!! Neena was trying her best to assure her friend.....

Judy smiled at Neena and nodded her head......to tell her that she understood......

On the other hand, After the school was over, Jia and her friends first went to Jia's house to leave a note for her mother that she will get late today. As Jia and her friends don't have their personal phones ,she had to go to her house first to make sure that her mother gets to know that she will get late. Era and Shaun already took permission from their parents as they made the plan to go out before telling this to Jia...........and then, they went to a restaurant .....

At the restaurant, they ordered their food and were waiting for it. Then Era asked Jia,

"Umm Jia, I wanted to ask you something, when you asked your mother for permission regarding the Scholarship, did she directly gave you the permission ,without any questions"??

"Well, yes, I mean , I feel like my mother is THE BEST!! Whenever I ask her for permission regarding anything, she never said no to anything"!!! Jia said while she was smiling brightly and was feeling if she was the happiest person alive on earth at that moment.........

"Yes, that's what I meant. Don't you guys think it's weird. Your mother never questioned you for anything like our mothers do or any other mother would do"??!! Era said while she was feeling like she made the situation a little bit awkward......

Neither Shaun nor Jia said anything so Era continued,

"Shaun, Do you remember when we all decided to do part-time jobs, Our parents were not giving us permission to do that and it took about 1 week to convince them...... but Jia's mother gave her permission just after she asked her. Don't you think it's kinda of weird"!!

Then Shaun said,

"But Era ,I think Jia's mother gave her permission quickly because she trusts her daughter and Jia is actually a trustworthy person. So, I don't think that there is anything weird in this"......

During all this time, Jia was silent. She didn't say anything. And then, their order also got ready. After some time they were already eating their food. And Shaun was talking non stop so that situation doesn't stay awkward ......... And it actually worked. They were talking, laughing, teasing each other..... Having fun.........

After eating, they left for amusement park but sadly, it was it's closing time. So they had to go to their houses.......

Jia came inside her house,

"Mum, I am ho-

Jia heard her mother talking with someone on phone call. She was not able to hear clearly so she went closer and heard her mother say,

"What did you say??!! Shut up!! I know what I am doing to her. I am her mother and she trusts me more than anyone else in this world. She will do whatever I'll ask her to do. If I'll tell her not to go to that state, she'll not go"!!!!!!!!!!

Jia overheard this much and one sentence was echoing in her ears,

"I know what I am doing to her".........

She went closer to her mother and tapped on her shoulder. Ms Judy got startled and turned back. After seeing her daughter behind, she directly hung up the call. But Jia acted like she didn't hear anything and asked her mother if she got the note or not......

"Oh, yes!! I got it bu-but why are you home---so early"?? Ms Judy asked and her expression was like if she wanted to ask her daughter if she heard anything while she was on phone but was not able to ask.......

"Yes, I will tell you what happened but first let me wash myself. I am feeling tired"!! Jia said and she was in a deep ocean of confusion as she went to her room......

After taking bath, she went to the kitchen where her mother was already waiting for her so that they could have dinner together.

They started having their dinner and Jia told her mother why she came home early. As they were eating their dinner, Ms Judy gathered the courage to ask her daughter if she overheard something when she was talking on phone.....and to that Jia replied,

"No, mum. Why ?? Was it something that I should not be hearing. Well, then don't worry, I didn't hear anything"!! Jia lied to her mother ...... and After hearing her daughter's reply, Ms Judy was not fully assured that Jia really didn't hear anything.....

"Mum, I want to ask something"??

"Yes, What is it"?

"Do you really want me to go"??
