THE DEATH PART-2

Ruby was unconscious, lying on her comfy bed, with her hands folded near her stomach, her complexion was poor and pale.

The emperor was holding Ruby's hand and was very worried.

"Oh my poor child, what happened to you?" He said and was feeling really sad as he lowered his head.

Seeing him like that Lilliana was surprised as she was standing near the bed, watching the emperor, grieving for someone who was not his blood.

...Something is strange....

She thought to herself and was silent as she kept on watching.

"Your majesty, the Royal physician is out of the town" The butler, who was in charge of the inner palace said with a shivering voice as he fears the Emperor.

Hearing him, The Emperor stood up in rage and removed his swords, he pointed his sword towards his neck as he glared while the butler trembled in fear.

"If she doesn't wake up, you all will die here!" He said with a murderous aura.

"Your majesty, please calm down, I've summoned the wizard and he shall be here at any time" The crown prince, Jared stepped forward as he said with a calm tone.

The Emperor held his hand and was thankful.

Lilliana was worried too, she sat beside Ruby and held her hand.

"Ruby...please wake up soon, my lil sis, everyone is worried for you" Lilliana said with a sad face and worried tone.

"What the hell do you think you are doing!! You are the one who did this to my lady, if not for you..." A woman started yelling at Lilliana, attracting the emperor's attention, everyone became surprised even Lilliana.

Lilliana stood up in confusion and asked, "What are you trying to say?"

"What the hell do you mean!?" The Emperor glared at that woman, it was dangerous as he was in a really bad mood.

The woman kneeled down and said as she started weeping, "Your majesty..huhu... I'm lady Ruby's nanny, Princess Lilliana, she gave poison to our precious lady. Huhu..your majesty please save our poor lady"

The atmosphere became chilled, people glared at Lilliana while she was confused.

"What nonsense are you spouting!?" Lilliana said as she raised her voice, as she was about to say something, the emperor came forward and slapped her hard, which was quite shocking for Lilliana.

While the nanny and some other servants present in the room, smirked slowly.

On the other hand, the crown prince was astonished as well.

...Poison? This timid lady, who can't even think of approaching anyone, poisoned her own sister....

He thought in his mind as he frowned.

Meanwhile, Lilliana looked at the emperor who was showing hatred to her as he clenched his teeth whereas Lilliana was speechless.

"How can you be blinded by status, just because i cancelled your marriage with the crown prince and let Ruby marry him instead, you poisoned her, I'm so ashamed of you, Lilliana!!" His bitter words pierced Lilliana's heart, even though she didn't receive any affection from her father but she still loved and respected him and never expected to get treated like this once in her life.

A drop of tear fell from her eyes as she tried to speak but couldn't as the corner of her lip got bruised.

...But just recently i came to know about the cancellation of the marriage...why in the world is he suspecting me?...

Lilliana pondered.

"How despicable, lady Ruby treated her like her own elder sister and she tried to harm her!"

"Comes out she is a villainess, a monstrous villainess who tried to kill her own sister!!"

The servants and few nobles were murmuring but Lilliana could hear them clearly, she was dumbfounded as they talked ill about her, no one was on her side, she was alone all by herself.

"I.. I didn't do it father..." Lilliana said with all her courage as she couldn't stop crying.

"Oh my, look at the nerve, she is even denying it, how brazen!!" The nanny spoke.

"No father, please believe me" Lilliana held her father's hand but he pushed her and fell on the floor.

"Pft" The servants slowly were snickering at her.

...How in the world...i can't even imagine Ruby getting hurt..how can they say...that i-...

Lilliana said in her mind and was helpless.

Nobody believed her, everything turned upside down for her, her peaceful days were shattered.

As Lilliana was still on the ground, no one helped her, the wizard came and people started giving attention to the unconscious lady, they were worried sick for her yet they showed resentment towards the princess.

Soon after Ruby regained her consciousness as the wizard used his magic, the people were delighted and so was Lilliana, she smiled brightly and tried to get up.

"Oh my poor child, thank god you are safe" The emperor hugged Ruby as he was relieved.

While Ruby sat up and looked at Lilliana who looked at Ruby as well, Lilliana smiled while Ruby was silent, showing hatred to Lilliana from her eyes.

"Goodness, lie down sweetie, don't stress yourself" The emperor said with a worried tone.

Suddenly Ruby started crying, shocking everyone.

"What happened, my child, does it hurt somewhere?" The emperor got worried after seeing Ruby's tears.

"Why? Why did you do this to me, sister?" She said as she cried, while Lilliana was thunderstruck.

Everyone again looked at Lilliana with hatred in their eyes, the emperor clenched his fist and asked Ruby with a gloomy face.

"Tell me what happened?"

Ruby then held the emperor's hand and said with a worried tone, "No father emperor, please calm your anger, even if my sister did poison me, i do not resent her...so don't be angry please."

Shocked Lilliana was speechless as she looked at Ruby while the Emperor stood up again and walked towards Lilliana angrily.

"Oh no...did i just blurted out the truth! how stupid of me" Ruby said as she facepalms herself and glanced at Lilliana with a smirk on her face.

.......Ru..Ruby?? Did she.... why......

Lilliana who was confused as hell as she couldn't utter a single word.

The emperor grabbed Lilliana's arms tightly and asked in a bold voice, "Did you really do such a thing, Lilliana!?"

Lilliana looked at her father with a timid and scared face and then said with a low pitched voice, "No, i didn't do it"

The emperor gripped his hands more tightly and said, "How can you still lie, you disappoint me, you unworthy wench!!" He said and pushed her. Lilliana on the other hand went blank, she never in her life did she imagine that something like this could happen.

She was too stunned while Ruby and her people were snickering at her pitiful face.

...Hmph finally! Oh this is so satisfying, i feel like now I'm the only sole heir, everything will be mine now!!...

Ruby thought in her mind and was overjoyed.

As the emperor turned around, Ruby shifted her expressions to a weak and timid girl.

"Listen! The Princess Lilliana...shall be punished for poisoning Lady Ruby by execution, She will be executed right after one week, till then throw the criminal in the dungeon!!" The emperor ordered, some were satisfied so some were shocked while Lilliana felt lifeless.
