Zerobrine The Legend Of Herobrine
...-The Beginning-...
Our world Ardonia is a vast land home to many diverse people and full of strength and deathly creatures within the darkness of the dense forest, beneath the sand of the treacherous desert and frozen with the ancient mountain of the north. Among all these, there was a mysterious man called The Herobrine. Nobody ever knew what this man actually was. Many people believe that he was just a spirit that scared people by making his appearance in the mist and stole their belongings, while some believed he was an evil blood thirsty worrier and some believed him to be a hero.
As time passed by Herobrine was nowhere to be seen. Although he was nowhere to be seen. He became a Legend of mystery. Beside all these there one thing nobody had ever thought or heard about, his son Zerobrine.
My name is Zerobrine. I am 15 years old. I’ve lived with my mother for as long as I can remember. She is my only family—my teacher, my protector, my guide. I don’t know who my father is… and honestly, I never cared.
Until now.
(somewhere in a mining village of Ardonia)
“Get up, you must stand and fight!” my mother’s voice rang out.

Rose—my mother—was a fierce woman. She had long, dark brown hair, her bangs covering one eye, and she wore a crown of black roses that gave her a strange elegance. Behind her strictness was a heart that cared for me, but she rarely showed it.
“Mom, can’t we rest a little?” I panted, dropping my wooden practice blade.
“Brine, how many times do I have to tall you? Ardonia is all about survival. If you wish to live, you must fight and never give up.”
“I know that,” I muttered, collapsing onto the grass. “But I can’t fight anymore…”
Rose sighed, finally lowering her weapon. “Fine. Rest, but don’t forget why I train you.” With that, she walked away, leaving me to catch my breath.
(Zerobrine pushed back his messy blonde hair, sweat dripping down his forehead from the harsh training. His pale white eyes—void of pupils—stood in sharp contrast, making him look unlike anyone else in the village)
I sat back, staring at my pale hands. My eyes reflected faintly in the water nearby—white, empty, without pupils. Why am I different? Why do people fear me? Who am I really?
Suddenly I heard a voice calling me from behind.
“Hey, Brine!”
I instantly recognized the voice. I turned to see Zack walking toward me.
Zack had always been by my side, ever since childhood. Where the villagers avoided me for my strange eyes, Zack stayed. He was my only true friend. He had dark hair, a sharp grin, and wore his favorite orange-and-black hoodie and a black leather jecket with orange cross designs on black on both shoulders and a pair of goggle on his forehead. Since he was working as miner, he always had that goggle on his forehead. He's also same aged as me.
“Hey Zack, what’s up?” I asked, standing up.

“Nothing much, bro. You free right now?”
“Not really. Mom’s been making me train all morning—”
Before I could finish, Rose appeared again, her sharp gaze softening when she saw Zack.

“Oh, my Brine. Is that your friend Zack?” she asked warmly.
“Hi, Aunt Rose!” Zack greeted, waving.
“Hello, Zack. Thank you for always looking out for my son.”
“You’re welcome, Aunt Rose. Brine’s my best friend, after all.”
Rose smiled faintly. “Well then, go talk with him. You’ve earned a break.”
“Thanks, Mom,” I said, relieved.
As we walked away, Zack leaned closer and put his arm on my shoulder and said “Brine, I found something in the library.”
“What is it?” I asked.
“The legend of a man called Herobrine?”
The name struck me. “That… sounds familiar.”
“Yeah. The villagers use it as a mockery, don’t they? Calling you ‘Zerobrine’ because of your eyes.”
I frowned. Those cursed eyes again…
“It said Herobrine had death-white eyes. No pupils, just like yours,” Zack continued.
I froze. My chest tightened. “What else did it say?”
“Not much. Only about the eyes. But I thought you should know. Maybe it explains something about your eyes.”
I didn’t know what to say. My thoughts swirled with fear and hope. Could it be true? Could this Herobrine—this legend—be connected to me?
As I was lost in my thoughts.
Suddenly, a roar shook the air. The ground trembled beneath our feet.
A massive stone golem burst into the village, smashing houses apart with its fists. Villagers screamed and scattered in terror.
Zack and I rushed ahead.
My heart was pounding. Together, we tried to stop the monster. Zack hurled stones, shouting to distract it. I charged in, swinging a pick axe I found on the ground.
But the golem’s fist struck me once—and I was sent flying, crashing into a wall. Pain seared through my body.
Zack tried to hold it back, but the creature grabbed him in its stone grip. He screamed in agony.
“Zack!!” My vision blurred with rage. Something inside me… broke free.
I surged forward, faster than before. My hands—my bare hands—crushed through the golem’s chest. With one final blow, it shattered into rubble.
The village fell silent.
Everyone stared at in shock. Even Zack, crawling up from the dirt, looked at me in shock.
“Brine… are you alright?” he asked, his voice trembling.
I stood frozen, staring at my hands. What did I just do? Was that really me?
The whispers of the villagers swirled in my head. Fear. Doubt. Suspicion.
Unable to face them, I ran. I locked myself in my room, heart racing.
