At the grand venue, the city's elite mingled, sipping their champagne as they eagerly awaited the arrival of the Young Madam of the Bo Family. The Bo Family, one of the wealthiest and most extravagant families in the nation, had always been the center of attention. The current Young Master, Bo Beichen, had elevated Bo Industries to great heights in the international market, significantly boosting the corporation’s revenue.
While many were admiring the Bo Family’s power and influence, one scene stood out—a striking young man stood near the grand staircase. Bo Beichen, the mighty Young Master himself, leaned casually against the bar, a champagne flute in hand. Beside him stood a woman with platinum-blonde hair, adorned with a delicate flower tiara, wearing a stunning off-shoulder white gown. She rested a hand on her waist, exuding confidence as she engaged in conversation with the elite.
Jiang Feng, one of Beichen’s closest friends, smirked teasingly and asked, "Big Brother Bo, where is your wife? I’ve been waiting to meet her."
The moment those words left his mouth, the air around Bo Beichen grew icy. His gaze turned sharp, and he scoffed coldly, "Fuck off."
Jiang Feng immediately raised his hands in surrender. "Brother, relax! I was just asking. Your grandfather looks like he’s about to explode with rage, seeing you here with Sister Ning."
Bo Beichen merely sneered and continued his conversation, but his eyes involuntarily flickered toward the grand staircase every now and then—waiting for someone.
Meanwhile, on the Other Side of the Party…
A young woman paced furiously, barking orders at her subordinates. The ladies surrounding her tried to calm her down, but to no avail.
"What the hell! I want to beat that bastard Bo Beichen until his bones shatter and feed them to my baby sharks!" she raged. "How dare he cheat on my little Third?! That crackhead is shamelessly flaunting his mistress at his own wedding reception!"
"Big Five, bring me my sniper rifle! I swear, I’ll kill him right here!"
Another beauty sighed, rubbing his temples. "Second, calm down. We can’t just kill him."
"Why not?!" she snapped.
"Because if we do, Third will become a widow."
She scoffed. "Hah! Don’t worry about that. My Third is so stunning and charming that even women would line up to marry her."
"But—"
"No buts! Tonight, it’s either him or me!"
Suddenly, Little Four rushed over, breathless. "S-O-S!"
Hearing this, Second and Big Five exchanged glances before bursting into laughter.
Just then, Butler Gong approached them, bowing respectfully. "Second Miss Su, where is Young Madam? The Old Master is waiting for her."
Second Miss Su smirked mischievously. "Tell him to wait for the show, Butler Gong."
A chill ran down Butler Gong’s spine at her words, and he hurriedly left to inform the Old Master.
The Bo Family's VIP Lounge – A Storm Brewing
On the first floor, overlooking the ballroom, Old Master Bo sat with his close friends, his face dark with anger. He clenched his cane, his knuckles turning white.
"This brat! I swear, I’m going to beat some sense into him! How dare he bring that Qin girl here and humiliate his wife like this?!"
An old friend, Master Jiang, chuckled. "Calm down, Old Bo. You’re too old to be getting worked up like this. It’s not good for your health."
Old Bo slammed his cane on the floor. "I don’t care! How will I face my granddaughter-in-law when she sees this disgraceful scene?! I’m regretting this marriage more and more. If this ruins that girl’s life, I will never forgive myself!"
Cough! Cough!
A worried voice cut through the tense atmosphere. "Dad! How many times do I have to tell you to take care of yourself? You can’t ignore your health like this," scolded Qu Jining, his daughter-in-law.
"Jining is right, Dad," agreed Bo Boxin, his eldest son. "You need to calm down."
But Old Bo’s eyes gleamed with determination. "If that brat doesn’t take care of Lu Anna, I will kick him out of the family registry and adopt her as my own daughter! I’ll make her the heiress of the Bo Family!"
Bo Boxin stared at his father in astonishment, while Qu Jining chuckled softly.
"Ha! Ha! I’m so smart!" Old Bo boasted, pleased with his own decision.
Bo Boxin sighed, shaking his head at his father’s shamelessness. Meanwhile, Qu Jining leaned closer to her husband, whispering, "Thank you, Hubby. You helped calm the situation."
Bo Boxin smiled and kissed her forehead gently. "Anytime, my love."
The ballroom was filled with excitement. Everyone had been waiting for Young Madam Lu Anna’s grand entrance. But what no one expected was that tonight, history would not repeat itself.
Lu Anna was no longer the naïve girl she once was. This time, she was ready.
