Today is a day where I absolutely have to talk to Lisa and decide right away what we will do about my birthday party. I want her to come, those gatherings are always so boring and the only entertainment is getting rid of the various interested women who are looking for a millionaire husband to live like queens for the rest of their lives.
I want to see her dressed elegantly so that everyone can see the woman she is and that idiot who hurt her can see the beautiful lady he lost. Although I am more concerned about her emotional well-being and I don't know if attending at this moment is a good idea.
The days are passing by and the date is approaching, so after dinner when we go to bed will be the time to talk because thankfully all the staff is here and can't occupy the guest room.
I am nervous, I have been thinking about this all day long. How can I make everything go wonderfully and, most importantly, make sure she is safe.
We have dinner and come to the room. She goes to the bathroom, puts on a pajama with shorts in white, and comes to bed. She gets in, covers herself, and turns her back to me. I'm not invisible but I am to her. I clear my throat, thinking that will make her turn around, but she doesn't.
I place my hand on her shoulder over the covers and apply pressure, but she doesn't even flinch. Does she fall asleep that quickly? I gently turn her around and her eyes are closed, her face so relaxed that I could watch her like this for hours.
"Lisa, we need to talk," I say softly.
"Mmmm."
"Lisa, we must talk," I repeat louder and touch her face.
"Yes, tell me. I'm - yawns - sleepy."
"Do you know that my birthday is in two days and the party will be held at the company?" She nods and yawns. "I wanted to know if you will come as my guest."
"I'm not up to that and there are so many damn people there."
"People shouldn't matter to you, I will take care of you and you won't be alone either."
"Maximo, I don't even know what to do in those places or what to wear either. I don't want to embarrass you."
"You would never embarrass me, you are beautiful and I know all eyes would be on you. Let me take care of everything." I lay down in front of her, looking into her eyes and very close.
I thought, "If her gaze goes to my lips, I will kiss her," but unfortunately, that never happened. She only looked into my eyes and then they closed due to sleep. I sighed, watching her sleep just five centimeters away from me. I pulled her closer to my body and hugged her. I slept deeply and better than ever.
I woke up with her embracing my body, her leg on mine, her head on my chest, and her arm around my waist. I didn't get a kiss, but I got a genuine hug.
I had to get up, but that's why I'm the boss. I wouldn't go to the office today and would stay at home, besides, the party preparations are at the company.
She is truly beautiful, and my abstinence doesn't help. I have to use all my self-control to not get an erection with her so close.
She stirs a bit in bed and opens her eyes. Seeing how she is sleeping, she moves away so quickly that she almost falls off the bed, but I catch her just in time, and now it's me who embraces her.
"Good morning, are you scared to sleep with me?"
"Good morning. No, but I got scared."
"Am I that ugly?" I joked.
"It's not that, but I was practically lying on top of you and I'm not used to being so close to anyone."
"You can use me as a pillow whenever you want, now hug me and let's sleep a little longer because I won't go to work."
Slowly, her arm went around my waist and I caressed her back. We fell asleep again for two more hours. I woke up again and sent a message to my driver to go to the boutique and buy an exclusive and luxurious red dress for the company party. I will convince her to attend, and when she makes her appearance, I will make sure she is safe.
