Money Issue

Six days have already passed since I got fired and I was drying up; the money I had left wasn't enough for me and to talk about my father's condition, it was getting worse, but still that old man continue to act like a spoilt brat.

He looks really strong, but this old geezer is really weak. I spent most of my time with him and use the other time to try to find a job.

" Jennie? " My father called me.

" Yes dad, do you need anything? " I asked him.

He shook his head and looked at me. " I have realized that you have become quite down recently. What's wrong? "

" Nothing daddy, as I told you, I'm on leave and I need a little sleep but, I gotta take care of you. "

" You on leave? "

" Yes, have you forgotten again. " I pinched the bridge between my nose. " I told you that I needed to take care of you. "

" Oh yeah, now I remember, old age is sure not nice. " He chuckled.

The door of my dad's room opened, and behind it was my dad's doctor smiling at as.

" Good afternoon Mr. Fernandez. " He looked at my father, then at me. " Good afternoon Jennie." his tone sounded more sweeter than the one he used to talk to my dad.

" Good Afternoon doc. "I smiled back at me.

He walked towards his bed and stood beside the bed he laid on.

" So, Mr. Fernandez, how do you feel today?. "He asked whiles checking the IV drip and the machine that are on him.

" With my beautiful daughter beside me to keep me company. I'm alright. " Dad said with admiration present in his tone.

"Oh I see then, she is really taking care of you. " The doctor smiled at me.

After he was done with his business on checking on my father, he motioned for me to come outside and I did.

" I hope there is nothing wrong. " I said when I closed the door.

He slipped his hands into his pocket and heaved a heavy sign.

" Your father, I mean Mr. Fernandez, his condition is getting worse. He needs to do this operation very soon, before it becomes critical. "

I knew this situation might pop up any time, my fingers runned through my hair as I try to think of something.

" How much will it cost? " I asked him.

" Let say, about 420,000 dollars." He told me.

" Wow, " I suck in a sharp breath.

That money, how in the world will I get that huge amount of money in such a short time, my money in the bank is around 23,090 dollars, and with that I use it for my father's medication, but it is not enough.

I leaned on the well and slid down to ground.

" You know," sniff " You know very well that I don't have that kind of money with me. " I said through my tears.

" Ohh Jennie. " He squatted beside me and placed a hand on my shoulder. " Can't you ask your boss to give some money?"

I looked up at him and shook my head while wiping my tears.

" I'm jobless Aaron. " I erupted into another cry. " I have no money, no job and I-I-I need to pay my rent anytime soon " sniff " plus my father's operation fee. "

" I am sorry Jennie. " He sounded concerned.

" Sorry won't get me money, Aaron." I leaned my head back. " Only God knows where I'm gonna get such kind of money. I looked at Aaron and my eyes widen.

" You can help me Aaron, " I hiccuped. " Please Aaron you gotta help me." I knealt infront of him and cupped my hands together. " Please Aaron, you have to help, I promise to pay you back, " tears started to stream down my face again. " I'd do anything you ask of me, please you gotta help me. I beg of you. "

Aaron held my hands and pushed it down. " Okay, I'll see what I can do, after all, I will do anything you ask of me. " He smiled sweetly at me and pulled me close for a hug.

MYSTERIOUS MAN POV

' That doctor, sure is getting on my nervous' My fist clenched really tight that cracks were heard from it.

' How dare he touch her. ' I turned around and walked away from them before I did something stupid. I walked down a part to a doctor's office and planked down on one of the two seats in front of him.

" Sir..." He looked at me quite confused his tone sounded a bit shaky but I ignored it. " I-I hope I didn't do something wrong." He sounded scared.

I just looked at him with a blank expression.

" Sir -"

" Who is that doctor who is taking care of him? " I cutted him short.

" F-f-for Mr. Fernandez, that is doctor Aaron Wilde." He starmmered.

" Aaron Wilde; " my eyes narrowed. " What do you know about him?"

" Well, he comes from a very rich family and he is not married b-but everyone in the hospital knows that he is interested in Miss. Fernandez. T-t-t-that is all I know s-sir. "

" Hmm..." I signed " So he is interested with her, huh " I felt my lips curl into a smile, and is not a good smile as my how body itch for destruction to that fool.

" I got a job for, " I looked him straight in the eyes and saw his pupils shake. " Don't worry, you'll be back paid handsomely."

After the small chat with the doctor I left the room heading towards her room. When I got there, I peeped through the rectangular open and saw her talking happily to her.

My eyes soften by the sight of her NOT her father, looking at that man surely makes my blood boil as the memories of what he did to us came in my mind.

I looked away and shut my eyes trying to control my breathing. I looked back at her again and smiled.

She has indeed become more beautiful this past few years, few, it felt like eternity. I walked out of the hospital building into a black Jaguar car.

" Where to sir?" My chauffeur asked.

" For now, let's go to the office. " I told him.

JENNIE'S POV

All my tears finally stopped coming after a long minute of crying and soaking Aaron's shirt. He asked and if I was alright and I nodded my head.

" Okay, if you want my help.. you have to cook for me. " He grinned at me.

I looked at him in confusion then smiled after getting it. " Okay then, Doctor Aaron"

" Aye, I told you to stop adding the doctor to my name. " He said with a chuckle.

" Sure thing, " I hugged him again with a smile. " Thank you so much Aaron. "

" Anything for you." He hugged me back.

" You two look perfect together. " My father said without a care.

" Dad don't start. ' I folded my arms across my chest.

" What, I'm old and sick, and I might die anytime soon. I need to see my grand kids before that happens. " He said stubbornly said.

" And that won't happen, " I sat down on the chair close to him. " Besides me and Doctor Aaron are just friends. "

" Right... just friends." I dotted his eyes from me and to him. " I see it clearly. " he emphersized on the clearly.

" Dad stop talking nonsense. " I started to get annoyed.

" What, let me speak Jennie, after all you have grown into a fine young lady. You want stay young forever, that is why you have to get married. And luckily Doctor Aaron is that right man for you, after all he has money and well paid job and very supportive person. I would be happy if the both of you got married. "

I rolled my eyes at him. " Dad I am not ready to get married and he if I want to, I wouldn't to do that because he has money. I want a respectful man who supports me, faithful to me, and does not abuse woman. "

" What your daughter is saying, is right," Aaron supported me. " there are some woman out there that wants to be with because of money but not because of you. And woman like you daughter are hard to find during this time and if it was possible I would like to marry a woman just like her.

" Then marry her, I would be willing to give her to you. Just say the words and she is yours." Dad said shameful.

" Dad! " I stumped my foot.

" Well Mr. Fernandez. " he rubbed the back of his neck shyly and his face was turning red. " I-I-I can't force your daughter to marry me.....she.... I mean she has the right to be with who ever wants to be with."

" And I have the right to decide if that man is good for her. " Dad said in a serious tone. " And I say you are goid for her. "

" Okay that is enough," I started to rub my head with my palm. " If we continue with this......thing I might die before you dad. And please leave you have other patients to take care of, don't you. "

" Of course, then I would be taking my leave. "
