Fired

When I got inside the building and to my apartment, I quickly entered the shower after I finished undressing.

My mind drifted to the man that left me dumbfounded, his perfect face started to hunt me with his smile. Thinking of that is even making my body shiver, and..... I kinda like it.

He looked so friendly and nice, but the aura that surrounds him is telling me something else.

His aura felt dark, cold and mysterious, despite that and the other warning signs around him. It's just makes me want to get closer to him.

I turned off the tap and got out of the shower with a towel wrapped around me. After drying myself, I wore my pajamas and slide into the blankets of my bed, the soft mattress felt so comfortable and so is the heavy blanket that covered me.

Who doesn't like the rain at night, the cold atomospher plus air condition, is enough for me to go to lala land.

As I drifted of to sleep, the stranger's handsome face appeared.

I was confused, because normally his face is the one that appears, not this stranger.

But at least for the first nights in a long time, I get to see someone that is not him. And somehow is making me feel uneasy all of a sudden.

What can I say, my heart only belongs to him, no matter how many deadly handsome men I see, he is the only man meant for me.

My heart was at easy when his face came to replace the hot one.

Goodnight Noah, wherever you are? I said then finally slept.

Some annoying buzz was heard in my room and it was really loud, the buzzing was so annoying to the extent that I almost hit it with my metal bat that laid beside my bed, and the reason I have it is for self-defense, just in case there is trouble.

The buzzing stopped after afew second and I felt really relieved, but that did not last for long and that annoying buzzing sound came again.

I grumpily covered my ears with the pillow, but that didn't stop the sound. I got up from the bed and took the bat ready to hit that alarm clock.

My hands stop midway when I saw the time, it read 7:45am. There was something in my mind that seemed really important, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

I shrugged my shoulders and laid back on the bed. When I laid there, my boss angry face came to mind.

" ****, I'm Late!!! " I jumped off the bed and sprinted towards my bathroom,then out of the bathroom, wore my suit, combed my hair, wore my 2 inch heels, took my bag from the chair and headed out of my apartment like it is on fire. When I reached the elevator, the projects files that I left in my apartment came in mind.

" Damn it. " I cursed and rush back to my apartment to grab the project files.

I rash back to the elevator and waited for it to open before I entered.

In the elevator, I saw that I haven't done makeup. I cursed under my breath and quickly did a simple and natural makeup, when I was done, the elevator dinged and I got off.

A man was getting into a taxi and I quickly runned towards him, then pushed him out of it, making him land on his butt.

" Sorry. " I apologized to him and entered the taxi.

" Starlight Company; step on it. " I said in a commanding tone.

I got to the the company at 9:11am, I didn't waste anymore time and runned towards the elevator which was almost occupied.

It soon stopped at the fifteenth floor and I dashed out, heading towards the conference room. I didn't understand what was going on but when I got there some of the employees were at the entrance.

" Finally, the princess have arrived. " Belinda said sarcastically.

I just ignored her and walked straight to Janelle.

" What happened Jennie, the meeting has already started and you are..... "

" I know Jane, " I gave her my bag. " I overslept. "

" Ohhh, Jennie. " She sighed. " Here, take this before you forget. " She gave me the files that contains the presentation..

" How do I look, okay? " I nervously asked.

" Yeah you do, now go in there. " She turned me around and pushed me into the room.

I stumbled into the room, cold invisible sweat started to roll done my face as my female boss glared at me with so much anger and irritating. Sure she will tear me into pieces.

My boss got up and cleared her throat

" Sorry again for the delay, the one we are waiting for is finally here. " She bowed to a man who sat at the far end of the conference table.

I calmly walked around the table to give each and everyone the file, when I reached the man sitting at the end, my skeleton almost jumped out of my body.

' What.... what... is he doing here? ' I said in my head as I handed him the files.

He looked at me with those once friendly eyes, but, it now has nothing in it, no emotions, no anything, it looked blank. He took the files without looking at me.

" And....." My boss was in the middle of explaining the project but stop when the man got up.

" No deal, " He got up and was about to leave but was stopped by my lady boss.

Before she could say anything he glared at her.

His frightening glare, was enough to keep my lady boss shut.

She moved aside and he left with some men.

Now in the office of my boss, my ears were literally bleeding from her yelling she was throwing things around.

" You overslept?!." She roared at me.

" I lost a good deal because of you. "

" I am sorry, I am so sorry. " I continued to begging the stone hearted woman.

" Please give me another chance. I promise I won't let this happen again. "

" Of course it won't," she said through gritted teeth. " I don't want to ever see you in this company, ever again. "

Once those words left her lips, my knees felt weak and my eyes started to tear up.

" Please, Miss West, don't fire me, I need this job, please Miss West, give me another chance- "

" I said YOU ARE FIRED GET OUT BEFORE I CALL SECURITY!!! " She shouted at me and turned her back.

I slowly got off the floor with tears rolling down my cheeks, I bowed slightly and left her office to my desk.

On the way, I was thinking on what to do, my father is sick in the hospital and I got fired from my job, I hardly pay his medication and now,this, what should I do.

I also have to pay for my apartment in the next two months.

" Jennie, is okay, this will pass- " Jenelle said trying to comfort me.

" I got fired. " I told her before she continued.

" What?! " She exclaimed. " I-I-I know u did wrong b-b-but she can't fire you like that. Jennie don't worry I'll go talk to her. "

" It's okay, " I sniffed, and smiled at her.

" No is not, Jennie " She held my hand. " What you gonna do, your farher's surgery is around the corner - "

" Jane, I said it is okay. " I said and took a brown box that contained my items.

" Jennie..."

" It's okay. " I said and left.
