As soon as they entered what seemed to be an immense hall, a gleaming golden shell was exposed.
Class 1A was amazed at what they saw.
"That shell looks nice" Emily said
"Yes, sis" Natalie agreed
"Sir, what is that shell?" Fred asked
Professor Raymundo did not hesitate to talk about the golden shell.
"What you see is said to be Kaptan's Legendary Golden Shell. This relic was discovered inside this hall. According to legend, this shell is capable of fulfilling whatever the wish of whoever touches it."
"Moreover it also has the ability of transformation and is said to be the most powerful relic in the world."
"Woah" the students awed
"In a Visayan story, it is one of the most powerful items that can be trace in our myths. Unfortunately, this item was used for ill gotten gains and not for the greater good of all. The golden shell was supposedly for the god of the sea, Maguayan, as a gift from the sky god Kaptan."
"Sinogo, one of the three messengers of Kaptan, was so enticed by the power of transformation through the golden shell that he stole it and fled away. Tragically, the servant was caught by Kaptan and up until now Sinogo is imprisoned in the form of giant Buwaya (crocodile) and still trying to free himself from the narrow strait that is used to hold him. The tale really shows us that great power must be held by someone who is responsible enough to wield it for a greater cause." Prof. Raymundo continued
"Sir, if we touched that thing now, will our wishes be fulfilled?" Chris asked
"I would love you to touch the shell but the National Museum forbids it. They will take this relic after we look at it."
The students were saddened.
"You don't have to be sad besides those legends aren't true and haven't been proven yet. Let's just eat when we come out from this place, I'll pay for you all" Prof. Raymundo stated
"Come on guys, the 30 minutes they gave us are over. This is where our quick tour ends" he continued
And they began to walk out of the hall
"Do you believe what was said about the shell Fred?" Elric asked as he approached his friend
"Elric, who else believes in legends today?" he replied
"In fact you are right but isn't it amazing that you can fulfill everything you want in your life?"Elric said
"It's never good to get everything you want so easily. It would be pointless to live like that" Wilkins butts the conversation
"Who is asking for your opinion Wil? hmmf" an irritated Elric answered.
"Hey El, don't answer Wilkins like that. That's always the case with you, everything is a big deal." Emily also joins the conversation
"Don't worry sis I'm not looking for a fight. Just tell Mister Popular not to butt in." Elric said
"Hey bro just chill, just ignore it" Fred told his friend
"Yes, sorry for that" Elric said to Wilkins
"tsss" Wilkins shrugs
As Class 1A was leaving, a part of the hall suddenly exploded
BAAAAAANNNNNNNGGGGG!!!!!
The students quickly ran out except for Fred, Elric, Emily, Natalie, Wilkins, Suzanne, Cyril who were still confronting each other and Professor Raymundo who was helping the students who were still coming out.
The guards outside are also coming in but were easily taken out by someone behind the smoke.
"Hey! Come out of here too students" Professor shouts at them who were still standing and stunned by the sudden explosion.
In the middle of the dust of the explosion there are two men in black heading to the location of the golden shell
Fred's POV
The Golden Shell is their target. Are the legends true then?
"Sir! The Golden Shell! I think they're here for the shell!" Fred shouted at the Professor.
