Fight Or Flee
WAKE UP!!!
Hailey groaned as she turned off her weird alarm and slowly got up from her bed. Her hair was a mess again alright. She could feel it.
She looked around her room, which she shared with her sister, samantha. She reluctantly got up and unfolded the blinds of her window.
The sun ahead was just rising, making the sky look beautiful. Her town, Augya was just awakening and the houses nearby were just turning on their lights. Another normal day, she sighed.

Her father's lousy old car finally came to a stop in front of the sebuk high school. Due to the delay at her house - because her sister was taking too long in getting dolled up- and the traffic jam, they were now late for school. Hailey gritted her teeth in annoyance but she didn't let her temper show.
They walked out of the car and paced towards the school. Samantha went ahead to join her friends while hailey stayed back to walk alone. Samantha wanted it this way and Hailey knew why, though she didn't want to admit it. Not just yet.
Her mind wandered around her studies, and soon to her classmates, as she made her way up the stairs. Thinking about her classmates, the dread and nervousness also kicked in, though this was not her first day at school and nor was she ever bullied by the class. But still, sometimes her paranoia was strong enough to kill her mood.
Hailey entered her class and smiled a huge smile at her classmates, who then acknowledged her presence and did the same. Just when she plopped her bag on the nearest chair, someone called her name and she turned around to see who it was.
"Hailey, did you do the yesterday's homework?", inquired her closest friend in the class, Maria. She grinned.
"Well, the essay was a bit challenging but everything else was fine. What about you?", hailey replied.
"What do you mean, "a bit challenging"? It was a completely different hell!", Maria groaned.
They both started discussing their other homework when the populars entered the class. The "populars" in their class were not only given that title due to their miltary backgrounds but also because they were the most talkative in the class. And due to that, Maria's and hailey's conversation inevitably died down.
Not that hailey really cared.
The teacher came soon and started teaching English. As the class studied and discussed, a moderate observer would probably notice the rankings that were set out in the class. There were three groups in the class: the popular girls, the popular guys and the most ignored ones, the smarties. And no doubt, hailey was from the smarties and she was not really proud of that fact.
Hailey summers, unlike every other person in her little world, was an unhappy sociopath. She wanted friends but had none. She wanted to go out but couldn't. She had many crushes but she was 100% sure she was never being crushed on. She wanted to do many things but according to everyone, the only things she could do was study. And even in that, she only had an average talent.
The classes went by in an eye's blink and now she stood at the local station, the bag heavy on her shoulders. Her classmates had already left but, her father was late today. The sun shone on her dark brown hair as she sighed in tiredness. She just couldn't wait for an opportunity that would change the course of her life.
