"What is it?? Why are you shouting?" asked Gilbert Spencer, in his mid 40's to the man who is throwing up at a corner.

The young man says,

"there is a corpse...." in a weak and timid tone.

They look at the woman, brown haired, in a midi dress, lying a pool of dried up blood.

"Oh Gosh!!! What's this???" terrified at the site reaches to check for her neck pulse.

"She's dead" declares the man.

After throwing up, The young man finally turns up to asks,

"Sir, what to do....now?"

Other man, in his 50's, the head officer, Oscar Waterfeld, finally speaks up,

"Keep quiet about this!

We already have to deal with the fire, we can't get involved in anymore sticky situations." in a serious tone.

"But sir...." Gilbert trying to refute but in vain.

"I won't be hearing anything!

We have finished patrolling,

The conclusion is,

Fire was caused by a natural cause and the compensation will be done accordingly.

Understood!!" commanded the superior, no space for any denial.

"Yes, Sir!!" replied Gilbert and the Young Man in a synchrony.

Oscar sits in his car with driver drives off the car.

Both the men bow in respect as he leaves.

The young man opens up, asks,

"Why did sir say something so outrageous? how can we ignore a human?

A human was killed!?"

To which Gilbert replies,

"You don't know about the rules yet,

We aren't allowed to question decisions made by superiors...." disappointment in his voice was clearly visible

He continued, "The woman was unfortunate, look at her carefully, she is either an immigrant or of a local tribe here.

If the word is out, the situation will only escalate.

This is what superiors doesn't want,

Gilbert sensed that the young man was intently hearing to every word he said,

"Your young, you have a promising future,

There maybe curiosity, but you know

So, Don't get involved in any dangerous situations!"

Smiles and pats the young man's back.

"You have a hard back..." said appreciatively

"You look weak though...."

To which the man replies,

"I might be emotionally weak but not physically!" claimed the man, touching his biceps.

Gilbert laughs... "You are a funny man.

Anyways, what is your name? We had to come here as soon as you were recruited."

To which he replies with a smile, his freckles visible,

"I am Aiden Maddox!"

A gush of wind, blows away the cap on his head,

Exposing his blond shining hair.

Gilbert says with a smile,

"Your hair shines in sun."
