Girl Of The Water
The waves crashed and the boat creaked, it tilted as they grew louder and stronger. Splashing water flew over onto the boat forcing it to fall deeper into the unknown depths of the water. From what seemed as an innocent trip turned into a horrid battle of survival. People were thrown off the deck, others were protecting their families though I. I stood waiting for the water to swallow me. The life I had was the least of my worries, why shall I panic for myself when there are others who need the space, who need the place in which I would run and hide. That is, if I were to hide.
Time skip-
I blinked before opening my eyes. It was dark though I could faintly hear and see a waterfall. not to far from the space in which I sat. It seemed as though I was trapped in an underwater cave, though I was not alone. Piles upon piles of dead bodies were stacked around the cave. Including the small parts of the boat which had most likely fallen off due to the waves.
"Im guessing no one survived. What a shame." I began to stand. Pulling my foot off the sand and resting it on the river infront. Though my socks did not get wet. In fact when I looked down at my foot, I saw ,yself standing on the water. My foot, almost see-through. My heart stopped and I slipped to the ground. I closed my eyes to make it seem as a dream and like I thought when I opened them I was a human again. My foot deep in the small puddle. I began walking after I had brought myself to my feet and walked through the waterfall, my hair somhow staying perfectly dry. It was peaceful though I could sense danger. In fact I could feel it. Suddenly though the silence of the cave I heard an echoing horse bray.
As though I thought they were to run past they stopped by my side. I lifted a hand hesitantly and stroked the beautiful horse. It was no dream. The horse was buetiful. She had long locks and was made of water, the same as what I had seen though when I blinked she did not change. Her eyes were large and black. They were shiny and I could see your reflection.
My hair is silky and long, it is jet black and my eyes are golden. That day I found out I was no longer a human, I was a creature. I had rode my horse over the sea until I found home. If you are wondering, my water form is called Mizu, which in Japanese means water. She is a separate souldp from my own though I know I will never me alone. I can call her at desperate times though it is not with a blink or a hand movement, I have to touch water.
Mizu is a goddess. She is beautiful though can only live in water. Her lips are plump and she hades long hair that drags along the ground, her eyes are large and she has long lashes. She has become my friend over the years and gets me out of trouble. Her whole body is made of water and she has a dress made of water. Her horses name, she is called Hinba meaning Mare in Japanese. She was killed therefore the waves raged causing the boat to sink. Although I was only seven I survived and as the only surviving soul her body and soul was forged into mine.
