crossing her arms as she stood in front of him.
He stayed quiet.
"Are you alright?" she questioned again, stepping closer to him and placing a hand on his shoulder, causing Kageyama to flinch away from her touch slightly.
"Ow! What's wrong?!" she exclaimed, taking her hand away from his shoulder and rubbing it slightly.
He stayed silent, his lips pressed together in a thin line.
"Bakayama?"
He didn't answer her question, he simply turned his gaze to her again.
She sighed deeply and shifted her position, "just... just come with me," she pleaded.
Kageyama didn't respond.
She sighed again and shook her head, "don't ignore me."
"I'm sorry," he muttered quietly. "I'm just... tired."
"Tired?"
"Yeah. And upset. I don't know, I just..."
"Just what?"
"Can you please leave me alone now?" he demanded, glaring at her.
She stepped back slightly, surprised by his outburst.
"I'm sorry."
"Whatever," she scoffed, walking past him and toward the door. "I'm done with this."
"Wait, wait-"
He scrambled forward and caught hold of her wristmaking her spin around to face him. "Leave me alone."
"Kageyama-"
"Don't call me that. Leave," he spat, dropping his grip on her arm and letting go of it.
"Fine," she huffed angrily, walking over to the door and opening it and slamming it behind her, slamming it shut so loud that it echoed through the apartment.
Kageyama winced slightly and rubbed his arm.
"Hey, Kageyama? Are you okay?" he heard his mother ask him.
"Yeah, fine," he replied softly, standing up. "Sorry. I'll be downstairs."
"Oh, okay. Have a good time," she said with a small nod.
"Thanks."
Kageyama headed down the hallway and towards the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge. As he reached for the glass and opened it to take a sip, he felt his father's hand land gently on his shoulder, he froze and set the water down. He turned and faced his father.
"Are you okay?"
He swallowed thickly, "...no, sir. I think I'm having a panic attack."
His father nodded, "you're right, it must have been quite stressful seeing all those people around."
"No kidding," Kageyama chuckleddryly.
"You wanna talk about it?"
"Not really. Can I leave now?"
"Sure, just remember that you can always come here if you need anything."
"Thanks."
"No problem."
Kageyama took a deep breath and nodded slightly. Then, he grabbed the bag with everything that he needed and quickly walked out the door. Once he got outside, he pulled out his phone and texted Hinata.
To: Hinatacchi
Hey, I'm leaving
From: Hinatacchi
Already?
To: Hinatacchi
Yep. Sorry.
From: Hinatacchi
S'okay, you don't have to apologize
But, you do seem pretty shaken
You okay?
To: Hinatacchi
I'm fine. But, I should probably get ready for school soon, so yeah.
We'll talk more when you get back
To: Hinatacchi
Alright. Bye.
Kageyama put his phone away and headed toward his house, entering the building, then went up the stairs and unlocked the door, sliding his shoes off as he entered the house.
He sighed and kicked his shoes off to the side before taking his backpack off and setting it on the floor in the corner of the living room.. He placed his keys inside his pocket and headed upstairs to shower. After he'd showered and gotten dressed, he walked downstairs and walked over to the coffee table. He picked up his backpack and placed it underneath the chair before heading upstairs to his bedroom.
He closed his bedroom door behind him as he walked across his bedroom, throwing his bag onto his bed. He walked over to his closet and unzipped it, pulling it open and began digging through the clothes hanging neatly inside. He removed a few shirts, pants, shorts, and socks. Then, he grabbed two pairs of sweatpants and a plain t-shirt before walking to his bathroom and closing the door and locking it.
Once he'd finished undressing, he stepped inside the shower and turned on the water. He slipped on the shirt and pulled up the pants, he turned the knob for the hot water. Once the temperature was perfect, he washed his hair and body before rinsing the soap out of his hair. As he dried himself, he pulled his phone out of his pocket and checked his email. There wasn't any important mail yet. He frowned slightly, wondering if something had happened, though he knew that wouldn't be the case, since the only thing he'd received had been his birthday wishes for the upcoming year.
After drying his hair and putting his wet clothes away in the laundry bin, he returned back to his bedroom and threw his towel over the railing of his bed. He walked over to his dresser and opened the top drawer and pulled out a hoodie and some jeans. He slipped them on and put his shirt on top of that before grabbing a pair of converse. He zipped up his jacket before slipping on a pair of gloves. With that, he exited his room and headed downstairs. He stopped outside the kitchen.
"Mom?" he called.
"Yes, sweetie?"
"...can I have breakfast?"
"Of course!"
Kageyama walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table. His mom served him food, along with some juice, and then placed it in front of him.
"Thank you," he murmured as he began eating.
His mother smiled at him and nodded before turning around and heading into the living room. The moment she left, Kageyama began to eat.
Once he had finished his food, he placed his dishes in the sink and headed back to his room. Once he reached his room and entered, he closed the door before going over to his bed and lying down. Closing his eyes, he tried to relax, but he could feel his heart pounding faster than ever. It was starting to hurt.
It felt like someone was squeezing his heart within their hands.
