Mom : Honey , breakfast is ready please don't leave without having them . Jo come on hurry up or else you'll get late for your first day of college , oh and call your lazy brother as well while coming downstairs .

Dad : Well what is it you've prepared for me Mrs Adams hmm?

Mrs Adams : ummmm ..I've got some pancakes and a glass of lemon tea for you ,would you like to have some ?

Mr Samuel Adams : Sure honey ,anything made from ur hands will be a delicacy for sure ...

Mrs Adams : woww being in your 50's really makes you a cringey human huh?

Mr Adams: mmhm guess I'm just a simp for my wifey .

Joanne: Abenohhh!!! jerk get ur *** up man! ugh mom why would you ask me to wake this sloth up?

Abenoah : Call me sloth one more time and then your done for...😑

Joanne : whatever , mom has been calling us for breakfast I'll be heading down now ..

( Joanne heads downstairs leaving Abenoah to freshen up .)

Joanne : Morning , mom and dad wha-...........🙄

wow can't even breathe the single - pringle air even at my house .......

Dad & mom : morning princess ....

Mrs Adams : Settle down kids and enjoy your breakfast .

Mr Samuel Adams : So ? all set for the next turning point of your life?

Joanne : uhh yeah dad .I guess so ( murmers)

Mrs and mr Adams : 👀👀 what's wrong ? u don't sound good ?

Joanne : Nothing mom its just that I'm a bit nervous about the class .

Mrs Adams : Aww sweetheart don't worry much about that we know that you would never dissapoint us , right babe ?

Mr Adams : yeah ofcourse ! I know my baby is going to ace up in this college just like her school days .

Joanne : ( Oh god , why do they always expect a lot from me ? uggh , I was just worried about not having a boyfriend and they just reminded me that I'm supposed to be the nerd of our class ,😫 well technically I am but still !!! )

**Abenoah : Morning dad , mom and my dear female hulk🤭

Joanne : 😡 wtf ? why would u call me that ? do I look like hulk to you ?

Abenoah : I mean yeah , the way you dress up literelly gives off the 'I will punch u on ur face ' vibes so yeahh** .

Joanne : Dad ,mom what do you think?

Mr Adams : umm ..no u look good sweety but why don't you try those skirts and frocks other than these hoodies? bet you'll look more pretty

(all of them sitting awkwardly staring at each other )

Joanne : I - ..I'll get going then

Mrs Adams : but you didn't complete your breakfast !

Joanne : That's alright I wasn't that hungry anyway

Abenoah : Hold up I'll get the car keys I'm driving you to school .

Joanne: No ,its alright I'll just walk or get an uber if I want , and by the way its my first day in college not school Abenoah !

( Hearing these words from her made Joanne's family understand that she needed some time alone so they just send her off without compeling her much )

While strolling through the foodpath Joanne recalled her conversation with her parents

Joanne : Maybe they are right I guess its because of my dressing styles and shyness that people are not approaching me ,but how am I supposed to dress up then ? how about talking it out with Peyton ?
