Lesson taught by Child

Nora face was red then black like molten lava then slowly return to normal appearance looking at Tengkam thinking he just a small boy same year as her when her parents died too but he is more efficient and knowledgeable. Feeling little depressed I wish I had such thoughts about life like that I could have save our land and farms, We could have been little better.

Nora: "Tengkam are you going to build house now?"

Tengkam: "No why? I can't build all of a sudden I have to first cut some trees repairing this hut first"

Nora: "Then can you help us fishing, we are hungry, we haven't ate, We want to fish then eat and sell some fish so I can build house like you"

Tengkam (thinking hard): "Ok, I have cooked food we can share now but when I help you fishing when you sell, Will you share the money?"

Dora (feeling hungry): "Say yes Abi"

Nora (Feeling hungry too): "Yes, we can help each other, we can share"

Three of them shared rice, eggs and vegetables. Tengkam felt happy eating and sharing food made him contend for the first time. He thought that it was good to share food, he was also happy to talk his mind. He was alone after the death of his grandmother and no one in the village asked him about his whereabouts, they only tried to buy his fish, mangoes for cheap price than actual rates.

After food they rest a little and set out together to a river Tengkam caught two big fish while Nora catch two smaller fish while Dora caught one but when the fish struggle she just jumped away frighten letting the fish slip through. Three of them decided to take the fish to sell two big fish while smaller fish they decided to eat at home as dinner.

On their way down the village Tengkam show some mushrooms, chilli and some green vegetables stuff them in the basket and they went along the village hilly, rough, muddy road laughing and talking.

Both sister felt that life was better to work for own then working for others for food only and being badly treated by others whole day without getting paid and getting rest. Not only house owner make them work but other servants also take advantage of them and make them work adding their chores also. Thinking back and now looking at the little boy laughing and talking Nora felt bless to make little friend.

The two fish they catch was sold fast, they shared the money and Nora asked Tengkam to eat with them. Nora was happy it was like her first income, she bought little rice, some salt, oil and set out to cook in their small hut. She learned cooking while working at neighbours, so she cooked some rice and cooked fish with vegetables and fried the mushrooms. The three of them ate happily. Nora was happy seeing her sister full of life eating happily. She just look at Tengkam if I had never meet this little friend I would never have thoughts about future.
