Suddenness

Not to mention, Monday is the worst day for the squad of Ele, Rae, Haze and Rosa. Being in the same department all of them have to witness the same violence of boring lectures of Mrs. Berry ( also known as Mrs Bestial to students) and Mr. Songken ( also known as Mr.Taskmaster).

-"Is it time to sleep? I mean it's Bestial's class, no?"

-"Ele, please. At least do that properly. We,.. sorry I'm not going to hear her damn long lecture for your sleepy face again today."

-"Uff! Rae! well," She can't finish her sentence for her yawn. "Wake me up when she keeps her elephant like leg on the floor of our sacred class." Yawned again and kept her head down on the desk such a way that her head rests on her right hand and the right hand resting on her left hand.

Fifteen minutes passed. Rae came back from washroom but still that woman couldn't make it to our classroom. Maybe she couldn't lift her body properly- that's what all the students started to believe.

-"Rae,do wake her up. Let this sleepy head sleep some more. Just when she crosses the window before the front door, wake her up. Okay?" Rosa waved her hand at Haze, "Let's get ready to spend the next 50 minutes in the washroom."

Rosa looks sleepier than Ele, but all knows that's how she always looks like. Four of them can't bunk at the same time, not atleast these two stupid lectures. Mrs. Berry atleast tries to teach, but ends up being a rude alarm clock. And Mr. Taskmaster! There's no Versheeans who ever got to learn something from him. All he does after entering the classroom is- changing topics and moving to a very irrelevant topic at the end of the class. Insulting students if they seek permission, if they put their legs anywhere but floor and even for asking questions is the part and parcel of his lectures. Unfortunately, Eleonora is the common face to get scolded cause her leg hardly reach the floor.

Well, as four of them can't bunk the classroom at the same time, they do so in pairs.

-"Class, sit to shun?" Olivia, the present class leader commanded as per the class rules.

Rae looked back and then at Ele. She's still sleeping as if she is on some comfy bed and nobody can wake her up now; unfortunately she had to wake up as teacher entered.

Just at the moment Olivia uttered "Class" , Haze with 'C**onfess' and Rosa ran away through the backdoor. Being backbenchers, it was super easy to do even without being noticed by teachers, not atleast by dimwit like Mrs. Bestial.

-"Ele, wake up! Hey!" Rae whispered to left ear of Ele. But Ele didn't show any response to wake up now; actually didn't move a bit.

Being shun she tried to nudge at Ele and then the lecture actually started.

-"Hey you!" pointing at Ele, "Why are you sleeping? It's only 2nd lecture class, and you are sleepy!" Now pointing at Rae as she noticed Ele is not even listening to her, "What are you doing sitting beside her? Do wake her up. Can you understand how selfish you are!" She couldn't care less about her words unless she used the adjective 'Selfish' to explain her.

-"Ele", Rae couldn't finish her sentence, "May I please declare an announcement, teacher?" Senior Glein interrupted her lecture but actually saved the class.

She glared at her but melted down as soon as figured out that it's Glein Ray, one of her favourite students, as she never sleeps in her lecture time.

-"Yeah sure." Everybody saw a sudden smile on her face; that broaden smile was noticeable.

-"Is Ele in this class?" She was watching around as she asked it.

-"Ele, Ele! Hey, Ele!" Rae is shaking her this time.

-"Hu?" Ele finally lifted her head.

-"Senior Glein is looking for you", Ele stood up even before Rae finished her sentence.

She went to Glein and Glein seemed to give her some instructions on something. Ele tried to bargain about something. But her expression told everything off so clearly that Rae understood she failed to do what she actually wanted!

Ele turned around to move to her seat and Glein announced, "As all of you know, tomorrow is the Armed Forces Day. So our school with the Scholastica International School arranged essay and painting competition. From each department two students can participate. Is there anyone interested? " She paused. "As Ele has already been selected, only one name can be added as competitor in 'Essay' sector. And two in painting, so anyone interested?" She's scanning the classroom.

Jamsy Clara and Neha Rome raised hand at the same time. Neha willingly sat down as she knew Clara will never choose to sacrifice an opportunity to compete Whatever it is.

-"Are they conspiring against me so that I can't sleep?" Ele almost shouted as soon as senior Glein left the room.

As soon as she settled on her desk, she started to find something inside her desk; Mrs. Berry was staring at her for a while but maybe understood Ele wasn't the type to care about.

The bell rang and Ele couldn't wait for her to leave. Rae remained as much silent as she could cause she knows the angry version of Eleonora.

Eleonora is the type of girl who can do almost everything but never does participate in the things she hates. As for example she never participated in any games. But literature related events are something she can never escape from. A part of her always inspires to participate while another part continues to demoralise, but finally she ends up participating somehow; mostly winning.

-"OMG! What's happening!" Haze stopped at the backdoor as she noticed Ele hunting up and down from some kind of large books. Not only Haze but also Rosa couldn't help but being astonished.

-"It doesn't make any sense, does it? Haze, can you please pinch me? I really wanna believe that I am dreaming." Rosa flinched dramatically and rolled her eyes around at the same time.

-"Wait! Wait! I don't think everything is normal. Something must be wrong."

-"Can you all please stop?"Ele shouted "Please" she emphasized on this word 'Please'as if she's gonna cry out. Haze and Rosa just made an eye contact with Rae and silently moved their seats and whispering among Haze, Rae and Rosa started.

-"What happened?"

-"She got entangled in essay competition again today."

-"What?! Didn't she submit that essay on another topic the day before yesterday? Today again?"

-"That's the reason she's bursting out".

-"I feel bad for her." Rosa directly then faced to Ele, "No worries. You gonna win the prize; by the way, when is the deadline?"

Ele heaved a sigh, "Today 10:00 pm". She paused, pressed her palms on the both side of her forehead and looked up, "Huh! And I don't even have enough information to start the introduction. Mr. Javel said he has taken permission from the Vice Principal to let us use computer lab but for last 80 minutes!" She whimpered and repeated, "Last 80 minutes!"

-"Whatever! We believe, you can make it." Rae said after a long silence and three of them nodded.

-"And if you can't, I promise you won't have to participate in any other essay competition," Rosa said in a savage way.

-"I'll then make sure that I won't have to," Ele grinned.

Ele left the classroom for the lab.

-"It's 6th period, no?" Rae was scanning the schedule. "The hell! Songken!"

-"Yeap. Now you get ready to spend the next 50 minutes in the restroom.

-"Ow really, Haze?" Rae said mockingly, The next minute she was serious, "You want me to spend that 50 minutes there all alone!"

-"Then should I join you?" Rosa's playful till now.

-"Then Haze will listen to his boring lectures alone!" Rae said haughtily.

All of them went silent for a while and Rosa spoke out first, "How about we all bunk up?" Her eyebrows furrowed outwards and then danced up and down expecting Haze and Rae to be agreed.

-"Good idea, but I think we don't need to do that," Rae said, "Let's tolerate his class lecture this time, I got no problem."

Mr Taskmaster didn't came today. He was in the charge of essay competitor for the meantime.

-"I couldn't escape from him! More like couldn't die in peace.Ugh!" Ele thought at the moment she entered the lab seeking permission from him.

Finally 80 minutes passed! The bell for launch rang but his useless talking lasted for 5 minutes more.
