Day II

After a quick venture into the perimeter of the forest area of the island, me and Tira came across a freshwater spring which we put into makeshift canteens for everyone. The sun was half away from being midday when everyon awoke, and when they did, me and Tira already prepared a breakfast made of fish, citrus and freshwater. I planned to further venture into the forest part which seemed to cover most of the island and at least venture into the mountain area to better send out a smoke signal while leaving the sos on the beach side, but the other campers decided to have other plans...

"We should stay on the beach for the sos, what if a someone comes and no one is here to be saved. I think we should split up." Declares a very anxious Valentina Rodriguez. " I agree on the splitting up part, some of us are obviously to weak and will drag us down" said Haru Sato. " No, we have to stick together. There are only twelve of us and more hands gives us a better chance to survive." I said back to him. " And more hands means more mouths to feed. You want to go into the forest to get food, right? We should leave the less useful people here to look after the beach." Said Zhang Ye. I am definitely not surprised, he is usually very quite but his father sure taught him how to survive. " Well that's a little harsh." Ritzca Iglia said. "Everyone, please stop. We are not leaving anyone behind and we are going into the forest. We need to travel together and making in to the mountain is the quickest way out of here. And if we need to find resources to sustain ALL twelve of us for at least a month.

They were all unhappy but they all decided that it was the best idea to try to work together while we can... I dont know how long they will keep that mentality but I tried to keep us all together until the highly probable chance which all order diminishes, hopefully we will be saved before then.

The rainforest around us is something that is very foreign to all of our city lives. The area is obviously uuninhabited by any intelligent life form before we came. I just need to remember how he got here, if it was a crashed on the island, we might be able to recover resources from the crash site. But for now we had to go to the mountain in the center of the island.

The forest was absolutely beautiful. Lush trees of all kinds covered the vibrant green land for miles. Colorful birds perched up on the trees. I kept a note of them in my mind but they seemed far to lean to eat. Vibrant tropical plants sported colors of all hues and emitting a delightful scent into the air. The air. The air was so crisp and fresh. And for a while I didnt want to go back home, all I wanted was to stay here, and I felt the same thing from the others.

Looked to the sky to see where the sun was, but all I could see were the thick, dark leaves that covered the sky. I looked back to the others. Some were in good condition while some of them were very winded. " How about we take a mold break here. We should try to gather some fruit." The less tired ones moved to the fruit trees while the others took exhausted sips from there canteens. I saw a particular tree away from the group and climbed up to see where the sun was.

The sun was closer to the horizon than I thought it would be. I wonder how I didnt notice... But breathing in this air... looking at the forest below me, the mountain in the horizon and the beach behind me. Something about it... I felt something I never experienced before... freedom. I put my head back and soaked in the evening sky. Has it ever been this beautiful? Something about this place...
