Oh, why me?

Morning already? I guess this will count as an absent in school. Good thing I won’t miss anyone.

A knock suddenly came, very loud ones too. I guessed that was Jumbo guy waiting to escort me.

“Who is it?”, I yelled.

“I was the guy at the reception desk yesterday. You can call me Mike. I’ll be your caretaker. Please prepare yourself.”,

Is he going to hose me down like in the movies?

“Prepare for what?”, I asked ready to charge at the door any moment.

“Fix yourself, clean your bed and yourself. I’m coming in now.”, he said then opened the door.

I sat properly at my bed. And waited for him to put my breakfast at the table he brought with him.

“I know you never wanted to kill those people. You just can’t help yourself.But you’re safe here now. Nothing and noone will bother you. And it’s so peaceful here too, make yourself at home.”, he told me then walked out of the room after setting up my breakfast.

My favor was granted!! Mike served me sausage, coffee and scrambled eggs for breakfast. That Wilbur sure is a man of his word. I asked him for one more condition remember? I whispered it to him....

I approached the door and peeked if Mike was still there. And he was.

“Hey Mike, tell Wilbur I appreciate him doing this.”, I whispered to him.

“What do you mean Mary? That’s what we serve here every wednesday.”,

“Oh yeah. Sorry. I’m just new here so I didn’t know.”, I replied then went back inside.

I ate my brekfast slowly to enjoy every bit of it. I received a fork, bread knife and pudding for dessert. I wanted to spook Mike a little so after I ate I hid the bread knife at my sleeve. I was wearing an all white outfit like the employees and the other residents. It was the outfit you would normally see at a Movie worn by crazy people at a mental hospital.

And it is long sleeved. I thought to myself for a moment..... what if a riot started and almost every person locked up in here picks up a fight. Then police officers won’t be able to tell the employees and the residents apart. HEHE that’s pretty good actually.

“Are you done? I’m only suppose to come in when your done.”,

“I am. Sorry for taking so long.”, I replied then hid behind the door.

He walked in... I was ready to pounce at him. I put out my knife and jumped at him from behind.

“What do you think your doing?”, he struggled.

I put my arm around his neck, he tried to fight back.... so I made him loose his balance by kicking the back of his knee.

“Fighting won’t help you. I just wanted to spook you a little but I guess adding another number to my kill count isn’t bad either.”, I said directly to his ear.

“You won’t kill me. There’s a security camera in here, if they notice what your doing they’ll come running to restrain you.”, he said almost out of breath.

“If they’re really coming what’s taking them so long?”,

“They’ll come for me...”, he was already gagging so I released him.

“I’ll probably get you next time, but don’t expect me to wait that long. Learn to fight back... I know this isn’t the first time you were threatened. Next time I won’t hesitate... but I know the others won’t either. Don’t loose to a seventeen year old, or even a fifty year old.”,

I said then threw the knife at him.

“Don’t act all high and mighty. I can kill you anytime I want.”, he said after catching the knife and pointed it at me.

“Then try. I’ll wait...”, I said to him again and laid at my bed then stared at the ceiling.

“I’ll be going now.”, he told me then left.

I’ll be waiting for your promise to be granted....
