Chapter 4 Preparation begins

"Okay, first question how? and second when and where? Also, thank you." "You're Welcome, and apparently my powers upgraded and I can control people now when I just found out now and where? Here." "That is both awesome and crazy!" "Thanks." "Hey uh, Torian." "Oh right sorry, Corri this is my new friend Yu'Saria.Yu'Saria meet Corri." "Hi, nice to meet you." "The pleasure is mine." Yu'Saria knelt down and held out her hand and Corri shook her hand and an intranced Sergeant walked over to Yu'Saria and said: "Lady Yu'Saria, we've just received intel that Zeion Genetics is sending three squads of Sky Droids our way we have to evacuate the others immediately or else we are all going to die here." "Understood, you and ten of your best men form a perimeter defense until the rest of us can get them onto the transport trucks." "Yes, Lady Yu'Saria." The intranced Sergeant and ten of his men left out the door. "Corri, what's your power?" Torian asked. "Light and darkness manipulation." Corri replied. "Damn, you're going to be a badass girl, respect." Yu'Saria smiled and raised her fist to Corri and Corri looked surprised and smiled then fist bumped Yu'Saria. Yu'Saria helped Corri up and they began to go to other cells and started freeing the other Z-Gene babies. (Lady Yu'Saria we've got the Sky Droids incoming their ETA is three minutes out.) (Copy that, Sergeant we've just about evacuated all of Z-Gene babies. I'll have four of your men bring the transport trucks around.) (Understood Lady Yu'Saria.) "Alright, we've got Sky Droids incoming in less than three minutes looks like we're going to make a stand here while we evacuate the others." "I volunteer to take on the Sky Droids while you and Yu'Saria get the rest of the Z-Gene babies out onto the trucks." Corri said with determination. "Cor, it's too dangerous not only that you don't know how to use your powers." "Enough! that's enough Torian. I'm tired of having to rely on you and Hector and to save me. It's been that way since we were kids and now it's my time to protect you and rescue Hector. I must do my part now that I have the power to do so." That's when Corri began to glow half of her body turned white the other half black a spiritual yellow orangish aura surrounded Corri and her eyes turned a midnight blue."Whoa..." "What happened to me?" "It's just a hypothesis but what if your powers are connected to you spiritual and emotionally. Due to you wanting to protect me, Yu'Saria and Hector and do good your form physiology changed." Torian commented. "Torian, we have less than 15 seconds before they get here just let her go."  "Be careful." "You know I will be." Torian and Yu'Saria left to escort the other Z-babies as Corri left for the courtyard. The captain looked over to Corri an smiled and took off his helmet and he had a scar on his left cheek and a burn scars on the right side of his face. "My name is Jonas Captain of Gekko Squad one." "Are you still being controlled?" "No, Lady Yu'Saria's control wore off five minutes ago we just decided to change sides and be on right side for once." Jonas replied back with his cold raspy voice. "I appreciate your help."  "Here they come!" Jonas exclaimed as he unholstered his two dual pistols. The sky droids roared overhead and then stopped and crashed down into the courtyard soon they unholstered their assault rifles and began to open fire. Corri quickly formed a light barrier around Jonas and his men and then dashed forward and began to strike the droids with her palms that had dark energy imbued in them. The sky droids began to fall apart and rust or so she thought they began to rebuild themselves and the armor hardened. "They can rebuild themselves from destructive based energy attacks!" shouted Corri. "Aim for the head of the droids don't no aim for the body or else they will absorb the destructive power you used and rebuild itself and hardened it's armor in the process!" yelled Jonas as he rushed a  droid tossed it on the ground and cut the head off the Droid with his knife. Jonas then tossed his knife at a droid sneaking up behind Corri. "Thanks." "Anytime." That's when more sky droids crashed down onto the court yard. "Now, Now that's enough, stand down." The droids stood aside to make room for a mysterious hooded figure. "Who are you!?" "Hmm, interesting I sense your fear and your nervousness. I'm going to enjoy making you scream and perhaps I'll make you into my next meal." The hooded figure looked up at Corri and Jonas his ruby red like eyes glistened in the moonlight as he licked his lips. Three degree burn scars on his neck and entire right side of his face became visible as he pulled down his hood. "Your deaths shall be delicious and you may call me Kharon!" Kharon dashed forward and Jonas tries to stop him but is quickly blitzed passed and appeared holding one of Jonas's squadmates by the throat. "No! George!" George struggled to get free of Kharon's grip but to no aveil. "You seem like good appetizer." Kharon licked his lips and raised his right hand and it began to glow red and soon pierced George's armor entering his heart George coughed up blood. "Hmm, now where is that delicious thing. Ah, found it." Kharon pulled his hand out of George's chest and tossed him to the side and in his hand was something glowing and blue. "Wha-What did you just do to George?" asked Jonas. "I extracted his delicious soul but I'm not done yet. Soon you all will be great food for me I'm in search for the most amazing food that will satisfy me!" Kharon unhooked the urn he was carrying on his back and stored George's soul inside of it. "Now which one of you is next?" Kharon smiled as he patted the Urn tauntingly. "You Sick Bastard!" One of Jonas's squadmates opened fire at Kharon he just swiftly dodged the bullets then appeared behind him and kicked him into a wall. "Your soul will be tied up and cut and recorded." Kharon took out a small scroll and summoned a strange orange glowing rope that wrapped around his right arm and a sword appeared in his left hand. Jonas and the rest of his squadmates quickly surrounded Kharon. "Oh, you all are willing to meet the same fate so early?" Soon a man appeared before Kharon. "Kharon, you have five minutes to come back or you will be dealt with accordingly. Your job was to locate the targets and bring back the information not engage them." "Ah come on boss you can't do that. I was just getting started." "You know I do not repeat myself you have five minutes to have your fun. Or else you shall die." "Ugh, got it boss." Kharon's weapons disappeared and he walked over to the Urn and hooked it back onto his back. "You all got lucky I guess I'll settle for my appetizer." "Hold it!" Corri began to fly over to Kharon only to be stopped by an arrow just in between her and Kharon. Kharon and the Sky Droids disappeared in a strange wormhole. Corri looked up over at a rooftop to see a mysterious person and they ran away. Jonas walked over to Corri and looked to where she was looking at and said: "Did someone just save you?" "I think they did Jonas I think they did."
