CHAPTER 3 ~OVER THE MOON~

Woke up with the thought of him, had my breakfast to the full and greeted my father and sickly mother with a cheerful smile. At that moment I could see the worry in both of their faces. They thought that my sickness was some how affecting me.They; instead of greeting me back with smile greeted me back with tears. I wasn't shock as the reaction was quite expected. Since the day I came to knowledge of my sickness "happiness" was something I couldn't think of in my life. Instead I'm shocked at myself for seeing a ray of light in my life which is full of darkness and ever since I saw that handsome - red-eyes-senior I can't help but to keep on smiling at the thought of him. "I want to change the way I live" that's what I thought to myself and reassured my parents saying that I would want to live a normal life like the others even if it may not be for long and with that carried on with my journey to class.

As I approached the class I felt a tingle which I never felt even if I were to appear my finals. But casting my tingling sensation aside, took a deep breath and entered the class to which I saw the same sight as yesterday though that handsome-red-eyes-senior was dressed neatly as compared to yesterday and the fact that he looked more handsome than yesterday got my heart at sync.I sat on my chair thinking of him when a deep voice which I seemed to have heard before whispered in my ears 'I see, you changed your hairstyle today' . I braided my hair with great pain in the morning to look a little different than usual and I would be lying to say that I was not over the moon to think that he noticed my hair which my other classmates would not notice normally. "I'll put effort on my looks the next time" that's what I thought to myself and replied 'Is it that bad?' He chuckled and said 'If it was, I wouldn't have noticed' and left for the class with his friends. What can I do or say here now but to only feel happy from within. And for the first time I felt a little pretty and the urge to continue living seemed to have increased a little.

I could smell the fresh scent of sandal wood which he left behind and I kept sniffing in, the whole of it until the scent disappeared. After the class was over I tried my best to finish my works as early as possible and pen down everything that happened today.

And with all those few words that he had spoken, buried in my mind and heart; and the scent of his, around me made me but to smile foolishly the whole day until I realised that he was slowly starting to occupy my world.
