Chapter 5

August 3rd

I had went with Hina and Emma to get ready with them even though I didn’t wear a kimono.

“Hina chan! Emma chan! You guys look so pretty” I beamed as I walked hand in hand with them to meet up with the boys. “Oh my gosh Kano, your so cute, I wish I could keep you” Emma said while pinching my cheeks while I chuckled.

“You didn’t wanna wear a kimono?” Hina asked me. “No! I don’t like wearing that kinda stuff, besides I feel more comfortable in a hoodie and sweatpants” they both chuckles at my response and we saw the boys.

“Cecil, Haruto!” I ran over to them and hugged them both. “Ohh that’s so cute” Emma said to us. “Yeah! We’re kinda used to it now” Haruto said making Cecil chuckle.

“H-Hina you look beautiful” my brother said making me and the two boys cringe. “Oh look Michis face is the same colour as Smileys hair!” I said making everyone laugh.

“Alright then! While the two couples go on their dates, me and the boys are gonna go do our own thing, bye bye lovebirds” I said as I ran while Cecil and Haruto chased after me.

While running I didn’t realise the blushing mess I had left everyone in. Even Draken was a bit flushed by what I said. “We should go!” Takemichi said as everyone else agreed.

Me, Cecil and Haruto were having a good time. We were eating food, playing games and running around like dumb kids not caring that everyone around us was looking at us weirdly.

“This game is rigged” I said as it was now my 6th try at trying to get the teddy bear I wanted.”yeah, the guys obviously cheating” Haruto responded as Cecil just nodded. “Want help?” An unfamiliar voice spoke behind us giving us a fright.

We turned our heads to see a boy with black and yellow streaked hair and a beauty spot under one of his eyes. “Uh, sure” I said handing the gun to him.

He knocked the target down on his first go by tricking the man into saying something was wrong with the gun. When the man went by him the boy shot the gun knocking the board down.

“NICE!” The three of us said. “Haha, here!” The boy said giving me the bear. “My name is Hanemiya Kazutora” he said. “I’m Nakano Hanagaki and these two are my best friends Cecil and Haruto. He just nodded.

“Y’know all the games here are rigged so they can get your money” Kazutora said as our jaws dropped to the floor. “Really!” “Yup” “Our childhood was all a lie” Haruto said as we all dropped to our knees.

“Well I gotta go! Nice meeting you kids” Kazutora said before walking off. After we all bought a candy apple, I told the boys that I was going to get another toffee apple and that they could wait for me somewhere. We walked out opposite directions and after I bought the toffee apple it started raining.

“Great!” I said as I ran under a tree to shelter from the rain. While standing there I heard a branch on the ground behind me snap and when I turned around I saw a tall guy with black hair and a streak in the middle.

Takemichis pov

Me and Mitsuya had bumped into each other. We were running in the direction of the car park and when we got there we stared in horror at the scene.

Drakens head was bleeding and there were Moebius guys scattered everywhere around him. “Oh, Takemichi, Mitsuya” his voice was raspy and tired.

Suddenly we heard footsteps coming from behind us, I first assumed it was some Moebius members but it wasn’t, it was Haruto and Cecil.

“Fuck! Where is she?” Cecil screamed. “You kids, come here!” Mitsuya said and they both listened.

“Pehyan what the hell are you doing teaming up with Moebius?” Mitsuya shouted at Pehyan. “Shut up Mitsuya! Or I’ll have them kill you to!” “Huh?!” “Damn, what a prick!” Cecil said as Haruto nodded in agreement.

While they were talking, the sound of a motorbike filled the car park. “That’s the sound of Mikeys bike” I heard Draken say. Then Mikey pulled up looking badass and scary. “Cool!” Cecil said.

“I get it now, you had me sent somewhere else so that Kenchin could get attacked and then it would be my fault that Toman split” “I’m just doing this for Pah- “This isn’t how we do shit, now tell me who tempted you?!”

Then we all heard footsteps and a tall guy with black and blonde hair with hand tattoos and a cigarette in his hand. “Damn, guess your not all brawn are ya Mikey!” “Who the hell are you?” The guy blew a puff of his smoke and said.

“Who I am is no concern to you but I guess you could say I’m the acting leader for Moebius, names Hanma!”

“So your the creep pulling the strings?” Hanma smiled upon hearing Mikeys words. “Your a real pain in the *** Mikey cha- THWACK

“He just stopped Mikeys kick!” Mitsuya said. “Guys tough” Haruto said as he and Cecil got ready into fighting position.

“Don’t be in such a rush Mikey, our goals to split Toman in half, but that’s to much work so we wanted you guys to do it yourselves, but this just makes things all the more interesting cause now with these hands I get to kill the invincible Mikey with my own two hands”

“Psycho!” Haruto exclaimed.

“Moebius has over 100 men here, while Toman has a measly 6” just as he said that a lot of motorbikes could be heard as Toman pulled up.

“The Tokyo Manji Gang is here jackasses!” Baji exclaimed. “Who wants to die first” “Peh, I’m killing you first!”

“Shit!” Hanma grabbed pehyan by his head. “Now things are getting interesting”

“BUT BEFORE WE START, WE HAVE SOMETHING OF YOURS THAT YOU MIGHT WANT BACK!” Everyone in Toman was confused.

Hanma let a wide grin plaster his face as he snapped his fingers and a big Moebius guy was holding something or rather someone whom everyone in Toman adored.

“KANO!” Cecil said as rage started to burn within not just him but everyone. Hanma knew that Toman was very protective of their women and enjoyed seeing everyone’s pissed off expressions.

Blood was streaming down her head and there was a cut on her lip.

“A little devil she was, bringing her here” Hanma said as he walked up to Nakano and lifted her chin up. “GET THE **** AWAY FROM HER!” Cecil said with his fists clenched. Hanma faced Toman with a smirk then looked back at my sister.

Hanma went up and pulled my sisters hoodie down til her collarbone was exposed and pressed his cigarette against her. “ARGHHH!” Nakanos scream angered everyone even more.

“She’s cute! I say we keep her as a little pet!” The big guy holding her said while grinning. “FUCK OFF BASTARD! DONT TOUCH HER!” Cecil said. “TOUCH HER AND WE’LL KILL YOU PRICK!” Haruto also fired back.

One of the Moebius guys walked up in front of her and punched her hard in her stomach. “That’s for hitting me earlier!” She coughed blood and the guy dropped her. She landed on her knees and held her stomach. By now everyone in Toman, Takemichi and her two friends were fuming mad.

“YOU BASTARDS ARE DEAD!” Angry said as he and Smiley were getting ready to run up.

I was about to run up to save my sister but she jumped up. “You fucking bastard!” Nakano shouted before punchin the guy who punched her in his nose and kicking the guy who was holding her in his face. She landed on her feet and the other Moebius members around her circled her.

I thought she was going to die but when they went to attack my sister the guys went flying. She jumped and kicked and punched and all the guys were flown back.

“You guys just gonna stand there and watch or you gonna join in the fun!” Nakano said with a smirk as she continued to beat down the teens that surrounded her. Everyone in Toman smirked at her statement and were just awaiting their commanders order.

“LETS GO!”

With that everyone in Toman charged at Moebius. I was frantically looking around for Draken. A guy twice my size was running up to me and I was awaiting impact until Cecil kicked him out of the way.

“Cecil?” “Come on Takemichi! Your not just gonna let your little sister show you up now are you?” He said as he ran towards other members.

Nakano pov

“Die you BRAT!” A guy said as he tried to punch me in which I ducked and kicked him in his chin knocking him out.

I looked over and saw Baji fighting. I then looked at the back of him to see a guy with a pole charging towards him but he was to distracted fighting the guys in front of him to notice.

“Behind you Ba chan!” He quickly looked behind himself and kicked the guy in the face. “Thanks for the heads up kid!” He said while giving me a smile then going back to fighting. Then I turned around and also started fighting again.

While fighting I heard my brother scream. “DRAKEN KUN!” Me and Haruto were nearby so we knocked down all the guys in our way and ran towards my brother. When we saw what happened we were shocked.

There was blood coming out of his abdomen. Wasting no time I took my jersey off and pressed it against his wound. “Haru, call an ambulance!” Haru didn’t even need to think twice before pulling out his phone and calling the ambulance.

“Takemitchy! What happened to Kenchin?!” We heard Mikey shout. “MIKEY KUN! DRAKEN KUNS BEEN STABBED!” My brother shouted as I was able to stop the bleeding.

“Take care of Kenchin for me!” We’re the last words I heard from Mikey before I helped place Draken on my brothers back. I was going to go with him when someone grabbed me by my hair and threw me to the ground harshly.

“Nakano!” I heard my brother yell out to me. “Go! Save Ken!” I said before putting all my attention on the man in front of me.

“No way your leaving without me getting a little payback!” He said as he stomped towards me. “KANO!” I heard Haruto shout just as the man threw a punch at me which I dodged.

“Go with Michi! He went that way!” I pointed in the direction Takemichi went and Haru quickly ran there while I dealt with big man.

“Your one stubborn brat y’know that?!” He said to me after I had managed to land a few heavy blows on him. “Shut up!” I said before I ran up to him, jumped and then kicked him straight in his nose which finally knocked him down. I sat on the ground since my stomach kinda hurt.

I looked around and saw almost everyone laying on the ground exhausted. Cecil walked over to me with Mucho, Smiley and Baji behind him.

“You okay?” He asked me as he stuck his hand out for me. “Yeah!” I took his hand and stood up. “Where’s Haru?” He asked. “He went with Michi to take Ken to the hospital” he just nodded at me.

“Damn little sis, your a good fighter, I saw you take that big guy out, you two Cecil and the other kid Haru I think his name was?!” Smiley said while smiling.

“Nakano!” I turned to see Mitsuya running towards me with panick over his face. “Ashi- before I could finish my sentence he grabbed a handkerchief from his pocket and started cleaning the blood from my head and lip.

“What happened?” He asked while cleaning my face. “Oh, well, I wouldn’t keep still when they tried to tie me so some guy hit he over the head with a bat and when I knocked him out I got slapped by that big man” I spoke as if it was nothing. “Jeez, how can you be so casual about that!” He said as I shrugged. His big brother instincts were taking over him.

I then stared up at Mitsuya and he looked back at me. “What’s wrong?” He asked me while cleaning the blood on my lip. “Your like a big bro Ashi chan!” He blushed at the nickname I gave him but smiled.

After he was finished cleaning most of the blood he sat down.“Man I’m beat!”

“Where’s Mikey?” Baji asked as Cecil pointed towards Mikey and Hanma who were facing off. “All this running around and your not even tired, you some kind of monster Mikey?!” Hanma said while Mikey just glared at him. “Shut up and die already!”

As he said that a guy on a motorbike came and picked Hanma up. “This is just the start Mikey, from now on Toman shall never know peace, we’re gonna create the biggest biker gang in all of Tokyo. VALHALLA!” Then Hanma looked at me and smiled.

“Til we meet again Tiny!” He said before the guy and him drove off.

“Creep!” Angry stated as everyone nodded in agreement.“We better get to the hospital!” Cecil said. “Yeah!” “Still remember the way?” He asked me and I nodded. “Let’s go!” We started to run away til the boys called out to us.

“Where are you two going?” Angry asked us. “The hospital!” I simply said before me and Cecil carried on running.

“Damn! Those kids got quite the stamina!” Hakkai said as everyone agreed. “Let’s go!” Mikey said before hopping on his bike and heading towards the hospital.

After we ran for 10 minutes, we reached the hospital, I asked a nurse if our friends came in and she quickly guided me to the waiting room.

When we got there we saw my brother and his friends, Haruto, Emma and Hina already there.

“What’s happened so far!” I asked Haruto as he told me. “They needed to perform surgery on him but because you stopped the blood the surgery should go well!” He said as I sighed in relief and went over to Emma who was crying.

“N-Nakano chan!” She wiped some tears before she bent down and hugged me, I hugged her back and rubbed her back. “Everything will be fine Emma chan, Kens strong! He’ll pull through!” My words seemed to calm her down a bit as I went to sit between Cecil and Akkun.

After a bit Mitsuya and Peh arrived. They asked what happened and Takemichi explained. “Dammit!” Mitsuya said as he punched the wall. “No way, Kiyomasa did that?”

Then Mikey arrived and Peh and Mitsuya tried talking to him when he said. “You guys need to be more quiet, this is a hospital!” He said as he sat next to Cecil.

Everyone went quiet til Mikey spoke up again.

“Kenchin won’t die here, he’d never be so dishonest! Because he promised me that we’d rule the world together!” Everyone’s moods lifted by Mikeys words.

After about 30 minutes the light to the ‘operation in progress’ light went off. Everyone stood up as the doctors walked out.

“We were able to prevent his life from passing, the person who was able to stop the bleeding was a big help, the operation was a success”

After that everyone started to cheer and scream especially my big brother. “Jeez, pipe down, you’ll wake everyone in the hospital up!” Mitsuya said while wiping a few tears.

“Let’s go tell everyone who was waiting outside!” “HAII!!” The Mizo middle squad shouted while following after Mitsuya. I was going to follow them but realised that Mikey wasn’t following.

I went to look for him and saw him drop down the wall. I walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. He tried to wipe his tears away but I held his hands.

“You shouldn’t be alone at times like these Mikey” I moved his hair away from his face and made him look up at me. “Cry as much as you need to, I’ll be here for you!” After I said that he pulled me into a tight hug and sobbed into my shoulder.

“Thank god! Kenchin.. I thought I lost him! Thank you Kano chin!” I was confused on why he was thanking me. “Your the one who stopped him from bleeding, you played a part in saving him” his hug tightened. “Thank you!” I smiled and hugged him back.

We stayed like that until he let every tear out and he drove home while I went with Cecil and Haruto since Takemichi already left.
