Chapter Two

I didn't realise my friends we're looking at me while I was busy questioning myself. "So, how did it go? " Monica asked looking genuinely curious. " Judging by her behavior, she must have failed " Stated miss. Smarty pants. "How do you know everything Mona? " I asked not liking the fact that she could just tell it by looking at my face. "You are a open book Ria. Not really fun. " Stated going back to her books while our innocent Monica was trying to console me for failing for the first time. I could easily start a conversation with anyone on our first meeting. This is the first time I felt nervous before someone. I don't like this feeling.

I went to library for the next one week but couldn't find him anywhere. I went to the school terrace for some breather. When ever I have something on my mind, I go to high places. It helps me feel free again. I was on the wall, standing and closing my eyes. Feeling the fresh air hit my face, I stood there like that for some time. I heard some footsteps on stairs. Since everyone in the school know me, I thought no one would disturb me. But suddenly a hand pulled me down from the wall, I fell on someone. Who the hell is this? I lift my face up to see who dared to drag me down, only to see the face I was searching for the whole week.

I immediately stood up looking at the idiot who dragged me. Ryan looked at me as if I'm the one in fault here. "Why did you do that? " I asked, keeping my hands on my hip and looking serious. "What were you doing on the wall? Do you know it's dangerous?" He countered, looking down at me. " I do it all ways. It's not that dangerous either. I would break a leg on the maximum. " I said. "And that's not considered dangerous? Are you sane? " He asked, raising an eyebrow at my answer. Dude thought I would do something silly here? Funny. "What's that to you anyway? " I asked, smirking. "I.... I... " He trailed off. "You were concerned? " I said finding it odd. He's someone who lived as if the whole school was not talking about him. He didn't even look at people , let alone make friends. Now he's concerned about some random girl on a terrace wall? What should I think of this situation? He didn't speak anything else and started turning back to leave. You don't get away without answering my questions.

"Hey Ryan, stop! " I shouted, grabbing his hand and turning him to face me again. He didn't say anything though. He just looked at me with a question mark face. "You know me, don't you? " I said it more like a statement than a question. He nodded, taking his hand back from my grip. "Why are you not coming to the library anymore? " I need to know if I'm making him uncomfortable or anything. When you want to befriend someone, first thing you need to do is to keep them at ease in your presence. "Library is crowded these days. I can't concentrate in crowds. " Oh, so I'm not the one he's uncomfortable with. "What are you doing here at this time? I thought senior year students have a extra class Or something?" He looked at my eyes for the first time. He's got these dark eyes that somehow makes you feel enchanted. He's got really beautiful eyes. His face is a piece of art. "I don't go to extra classes. " He spoke looking into my eyes. I flashed him a smile revealing my dimple on my right cheek. His eyes lingering on my dimple, he said "I come here to study instead of library. " So, he was in my place all the time. "Can I share the space with you here? I don't feel like going to library either " I asked, giving him my most adorable face. He simply looked at me. "Is that a No? " I said, giving him my pitiful face. I never got a NO for this face. He simply nodded and turned around sitting down far away from me. I popped a quick thank you and came back to my classroom. The girls should know about this.
